    Green grass is a luxury feature and very few people can keep it green the entire yr. There's a reason these million dollar mansions still keep grass on most of the landscaping, it's timeless.

      I never considered grass to be a luxury. Thanks for your comment

    One major disadvantage with lawn grass is the water demand can make you go broke if prefer to irrigate it regularly. 5000 sf lawn area can easily take 5000 liters a day. Unless you have a borehole on site that gets very expensive.

    • @AfricaBuildingHub
      @AfricaBuildingHub  9 месяцев назад +3

      Borehole is important.

    • @aberba
      @aberba 9 месяцев назад

      Or leave ot to dry and it'll grow green when it rains. It what most grasses are kept.

    • @deeeball
      @deeeball 8 месяцев назад +1

      @aberba unfortunately the Ghana heat will kill it. Some lawn grass species are resilient, but risk is not worth it IMHO.

    Ive come searching old videos for information. Ive come to Ghana to design my garden, I dont want concrete. Im really struggling because the garden designers recommended to me are so old fashioned in their ideas. They design for retirees. Its a long wide space and i want a series of conteporary linked spaces and destinations. Grateful for any ideas.

      Until I see the space it would be difficult to help. You can always send us an email. abh@abhcollabs.com

      @PRINCESSGEMINI1987 День назад

      That’s a huge assumption. Retirees tend to have green thumbs and allotments meaning they love to garden.

    • @AfricaBuildingHub
      @AfricaBuildingHub  9 месяцев назад +1

      That's the mistake I spoke about. Ideally I should have done some filling also. Maybe when I get money in future I will do so But there is enough space which is leveled for people to sit as it is.

    Great content 👏🏽 Who is your supplier for chippings and sand? Their rate is much lower than what I know. Is it because your site is located close to the source of these materials?

      Yes, really close to my site and we used them throughout the building project so we get to have cheaper prices.
