I skipped around a little bit and I was bored. I think there is too much music, it has all started to sound like generic crap

You sound like you need some new genres or smthing. Post-rock and post-metal i feel like are created with the same sound in mind, and barely differs, but that just adds to the feeling. Not a big fan of post-anything though.
