- This is a radio interview from 1978 when Joan was still in the Runaways.
The rest of the band didn't show up some how. Rodney Bingenheimer is the other on talking.
Bizarre to hear this. I was in the studio when this was recorded. I was 14. We had cake for Brooke's birthday, and I still have Joannie's autograph from that evening.

Love that photo at that end of the Runaways with Rush who they apparently opened for in 1977. According to several accounts, the relationship between the bands was somewhat less than cordial.

Awww, her voice was so cutesy and wholesome sounding when she was young! Bizarre considering what an amazing rock scream and those tough vocals when she sang, I pictured her sounding completely different. LOL, was that her belching at the end?

Yep, it's true. Cherie had to stop her Facebook page last fall because of all of the heated FB postings that appeared. She even posted for people to bring American Flags and wave them, to a gig she was headlining with Joan last summer in L.A. That way she would know who her 'Real Fans' are. I think there's an audio clip of that gig posted on YT. Yes, the Cherry Bomb is now a 'has been' Scary Bomb. Obviously Lita had her number since the '70s and is spot on about Ms. Currie.

For such a Geeky guy, Rodney Bingenheimer did some really cool shit! he let the Germs on a lot but the only thing I can find is from that horrible movie.

nothing wrong with being a republican or the tea party but too many listen to the social distortion of what those people are saying and don't get the message. The point is Joan states she is a liberal, and Joan would fight for anyone to have the right of expression, being liberal shouldn't be about having to shut down ones facebook due to opposition of opinion, and if your a person calling yourself liberal which means to be tolerant and open to others viewpoints and you support that your fake.
