I do like that bow/hull style, I imagine it’d do well in deep blue water swells. Stabilizers and zero position options would be a must. Good video thank you.
Truly love what they've done with this boat. The stabilizer would be a must have, if you are paying over a million for the boat, spring for the stabilizer. Negative comments regarding crew cabin, let's all be honest here, you are not operating this boat with a crew. That is a great storage space that can be used as the brig for unruly kids.
@@fedebenavides You're right - as long as you like yatch videos that concentrate more on what the inside of every cubboard and drwaer looks like. I've unsubscribed from Aquaholic for that reason. If I want to see cupboards and drawers I'll go to Ikea.
Thanks for featuring a boat with a practical range. I don’t understand why designers think we need four separate dining table for 12 on a boat that doesn’t sleep 12. Surely one of them could have been a hot tub. The accommodations are great, and the price seems pretty reasonable. I’m guessing these are not manufactured in Italy. Good job on the walkthrough! Appreciate seeing the engine space.
Hot tub would have to be a custom option, very few people would want that on a 50 footer, and even fewer would want it on a trawler they plan to use for long trips. I think a non-trawler flybridge yacht around 70-80 ft is more for you, they are way more party oriented and much more popular among commenters who daydream of entertaining friends.
blewyd Oh yes, so stingy because I think it would be better to use some of that space to support kite boarding, scuba, stand ii paddle boarding, a pwc, etc.
Do you feel that the one screen at the helm is enough? Even if you can display different views at the same time on one screen. Im thinking of my radar, chartplotter and so on?
In the UK you do not need a boat licence. Now all you need is £1.2 million. Or £1 if you register it in the Cayman Islands, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, etc.
Not bad but if you insist to go with an Italian parent company I would suggest to take a look at Mochi Craft yachts. I think their line of lobster/trawler boats looks better.
You speaking from experience or RUclips? Its a 53ft boat, adding another dedicated area will severely eat into the feeling of space, instead of fewer useable areas you get lots of cramped areas.
They did (have?) an option were they removed the port cabin for a sofa and made the storage in to a bunk cabin: d2mtioty8nfglf.cloudfront.net/eyJidWNrZXQiOiJwcm9kd2ViYXNzZXRzIiwia2V5IjoiYm9hdHMvNjMyODk4My82MzI4OTgzXzIwMTgwNDI0MTI0NDM4OTk2XzFfWExBUkdFLmpwZyIsImVkaXRzIjp7InJlc2l6ZSI6eyJ3aWR0aCI6MTUwMCwiaGVpZ2h0IjoxMDAwLCJmaXQiOiJjb3ZlciIsImJhY2tncm91bmQiOnsiciI6MjQxLCJnIjoyNDUsImIiOjI0OCwiYWxwaGEiOjF9fX19
For an Italian yacht and an Azimut, I personally think the Magellano always had a bad interior. Also the helm for a trawler. Absolute does it much better with similar pricing.
I just just about to comment the same, I’d take an Absolute Navetta 52 over this any day of the week, and twice on Sundays. Nevertheless, it was a nice tour of this Azimut.
@@adamcotterill3511 I would take Azimut in rough seas over the Navetta any day. Azimut has super RandD in the design of the hull. Also those Cummins engines they last forever go and ask the sportfishers in NA who do 200 an hours plus how they compare with D6 IPS engines.
This is the strangest layed out 53 I have ever seen, the helm is very odd, the cabins are claustrophobic, the fly-bridge is cramped and no twin forward facing seat on the upper helm...Netflix anyone? Not a screen to be seen !!! Beanbag chairs for the fly-bridge...seriously ? It has an attractive hull design and the video is well done...would like to see an optional interior layout.
Fabulous tour Hugo really enjoyed it. My one criticism, why are boats and boating so male oriented! Do females not drive or own boats? Loving your more natural and personalised narrative though. Xx
Mmm, nice video thank you Hugo, but not sure about the boat. No forward facing seats for navigator or other crew to keep the helmsman company either above or below. And no side doors by the helm, either to port or starboard, making docking when short crewed a bit of a nightmare. Not really a trawler, I would get a second hand Fleming 55 for less money, and far more practical and enjoyable.
I like Azimut, but not this one. I am hard put to think of anything I liked and as for the so called crew cabin, I wouldn't put my dog in there, let alone my kids! Only fit for storage. Presentation was OK though so one positive!
If it can do 1000nm at 12 knots then range would increase a lot at low displacement speeds. Reliability is good too, obviously it has redundant fuel filters and two engines, and good access to ship systems should something need repair. Not gonna bet on it but it should be possible to install an extra generator without too much trouble and if not i would still take it up to Spitsbergen and back, gladly. Its not the boat of anyones wildest dream but its 100% useable in real life. RUclips-life is of course different, according to your YT logic Fleming too make fake trawlers.
As for details on range, Boat Show did do a review on this model too, i dont remember details but Maurizio always test liters per hour on various speeds. Maurizio is a real yacht reviewer, not just a walkarounder like Nick and this guy here, but i can see why your youtube logic dont go well with real reviews.
Update: I checked for you and Maurizio reported 1.6 liter per nm at 7.3 knots, that is a range of 2000nm at a very good speed for a trawler. 1000 liters for a 1 month vacations with an average of 3 hours per day, thats a very cheap vacation, and you still have 2200 liters left.
Not the same thing. Princess compete with the other yacht lines from Azimut, and in those classes you got other and better options. Look at the new Riva 88 Folgore and the Pershing 7x (8x and 9x too) and if you still want a Princess then thats fine too, at least then you made a qualified decision, and you made it without mixing up semidisplacement and planing hulls.
Thanks for all your kind comments. GoPro 8 is a whole lot easier to shoot on than the previous Osmo. Natural light helps too!
I do like that bow/hull style, I imagine it’d do well in deep blue water swells. Stabilizers and zero position options would be a must. Good video thank you.
Hi Hugo. A very comprehensive tour. Good layout inside and out. 3 dining areas, 3 cabins. Great video. Thanks.
Great tour! What a well finished and incredibly spacious boat. You can see where the money goes.
great tour... excellent boat... I like it a lot. Great use of space for the size. Love the Italian Style on everything... and layout
Thank you for the video! The new camera you got looks so much better than the old one I remember from last year's boat shows.

"There's no Port, Left in this bottle!"

That crew cabin would make a sweet cigar room
3:22 Without a doubt, the most ridiculous access to a crew cabin on any vessel I've ever seen.
Im just a dumb kid but If I owned a ship I would not be able to sleep knowing my crew are in a fucking cupboard.
Access the rectum of the boat for the crew .
Quite like it myself. But I'd be worried I'd be stuck.
I like the way, when showing the rear diving platform you said “You can put a dingy on there it will sink down into the water”
A very good and informative tour, thank you 😁
Great tour, thank you. Would like to see more Hugo in front of the camera please.
Good presentation. Much improved camera work and commentary 👍
Trying to copy Aquaholic now haha.

Love it but that crew cabin is utterly pointless in my opinion.
Yeah, good one when crossing the channel and you need some extra space for unexpected passengers, ie immigrants...
Almost as good as Nick @aquaholic! Good job!
You did not mention a water maker, obviously there is a water storage tank, but does it have a water maker?
my favorite boat!

The only 2 things I don't like about the design is the access to the crew CABIN, and the low grab rails on the rear of the fly bridge!

A crew cabin on a 53' boat makes perfect sense for for a charter boat.
No tender garage on a 53' boat makes NO sense for an owner-operator boat.

If the cost of the boat doesn't kill you the fuel bill will...out of all vehicles boats, ships engines should be electric.
too much cockpit:salon ratio for a legit trawler
