I think this is a newer, unreleased version. I have RANDOM, and it only has the basic controls on the left, which are relabeled a bit, and I don't have the differently colored metals/materials - just the black blob as demoed on the website. The version demoed here shows an app title of "Beatsurfer + Phazz"; mine shows "RANDOM". I did a version check, and the plugin indicates I'm running the latest version. So, yep, what's demoed here must be a souped up, unreleased version or new instrument altogether.
I just wish there was more understanding in what the vst does. Seems like they are capitalizing on people who don’t want to learn synthesis. I’m here for it tho As long as it sounds good though.
Judging from the content of the installed folders there might be some sort of sampling involved but there are no wav samples. There must be some kind of FM/Physical Modeling involved.
Extremely creative demo. This is certainly an evolution of Random. Mine sure doesn't look or sound like that. Is it a new instrument called "Phazz"? Is it generally available or locked away yet in beta?
@@SimonStockhausen1967 - Strange. I just downloaded and installed again, and it shows the same version # (1.1.4) and simple features as before. In fact, the page for RANDOM on the Beatsurfing website only shows the simple interface, likewise, all of their RUclips demos. When you get a chance, can you check your version by hitting the menu icon in the upper-left. It's possible that they accidentally posted a beta version publicly for a short time before realizing the faux pax, then reverting the public download link back to 1.1.4 . Hmm... Along with it being a possible accidental release, the difference could also be that your plugin for Logic is AU vs my VST in Reaper., so there could also be changes that have yet to be migrated to the VST version. But please check and report when you can. LOL! You definitely are using an advanced version. LUCKY YOU! 👍
@@SimonStockhausen1967 No. No such thing shown in the version I'm running, on the Beatsurfing RANDOM product page, nor in the RANDOM manual. You definitely have an advanced version.
If you want the drums to use different models, yes. There is the option to assign sound variations to the inbuilt pads which are assigned to fixed MIDI pitches but these variations will all be derived from the same selected drum model.
@@SimonStockhausen1967 I came to an issue. When I press for example c1 on one instance of the plugin it seems to triger sound on other instances. Is there any way to change that?
Couldn't have thought about timely sound temperatures like Stockhausen, just brilliant
Thank you very much!
Enjoyed it a lot. 🙌
btw, we will answer everyone later today.
Mt pleasure 🙏
until now I way a bit hesitating on the brand and specially Random. Does sound interesting....maybe check again

Yuss!!!
Does is work with Bandlab? 😮❤
Is it sample based or pure synthesis?

It's 4 instances of Random Metal in one screen (insideLogic 11.01), I downloaded, installed and made this.video, so there is nothing hidden anywhere.

@@BigMTBrain Will do, you're probably missing the "advanced" button which unfolds the menu/parameters on the right side of the plugin?

Hi, are these presets loops that are ready to use in the package ?
No, the plugin provides the sound, you have to do the MIDI yourself.
@ thanks
i like it
Can you midi map 'random' button?
Haven't checked
yes
Nice one. Cheers
So you need to create many instances of the plugin to create a drum set?
