I'm so excited that you guys are excited for Overgrown! Aside from looking forward to launching Overgrown, I'm looking forward to Chicken Fried Dice from Urban Professional Games which I've been lucky enough to playtest. I've also got my fingers crossed that The Queen's Dilemma from Horrible Guild will get delivered this year
I so badly want to play Queens Dilemma but I don’t think we have a group that would. Maybe I’ll make it a goal. We playtested Chicken Fried Dice a few years ago now and I think the current version is a bit different! Thanks for watching 🥰🥰🥰
The game I am looking forward to the most is Luthier. 100%! But there are a few others that I can't wait to get. Storm Raiders will be arriving tomorrow, actually, and it was the first board game I ever backed - can't wait to try it. 🥰 Paper World is actually on BGA in alpha right now - I'm playing a game of it now and it's very cool! I can't wait to see more about Vantage as well. Looks so good. Your description of Night Soil had me giggling. Now I need to look into it! I've already backed Speakeasy, so clearly it's one I'm anticipating a lot. :) Overgrown sounds like a very interesting concept, will look into this one as well. La Patisserie Rococo has already been added to my "look into further" list! Cats & Dragons looks cute - I'll have to wait for more info to see if it's something I'd be able to get any of my friends to play or not though.
Storm Raiders looks so interesting! I’m so curious about it! Ooo cool I’ll nudge Tylor to try Paper World! Luthier is also on our list it didn’t make this one as we’ve played it, but it’s brilliant!
The history behind Molly House is such an interesting topic, and tapping into the less wellntrod areas of history is something i really admire about Cole Wehrle. The gameplay seemed intriguing too
Happy New Year! What a fantastic list, we're honoured that you've included Terraria there :) Can't wait for you to play; hopefully it will be the gateway to diving into the videogame too - Chris
i had a record scratch moment: Otters DO EAT URCHINS and they are actually a Keystone Species in regards to keeping sea urchins in check so that the urchins don't create Urchin Barrens - a barren land where there used to be plentiful kelp beds.... ok carry on, just had to throw that in here - they do like shiny things so I wouldn't be surprised if they found a pearl that they would keep it in their little rock pockets (they do hold on to favorite rocks under their arm sometimes)
When you said there is no photo, I immediately knew you would say The Dream! I guess we both browsed through the 2025 releases on BGG! I am also intrigued by Bookshelf :)
Definitely excited about Molly House and Everdell Duo arriving soon, but the two that I’m really keen on playing are Eternal Decks and The Presence. The first is a Japanese cooperative game that I backed after Thinker Themer's review and The Presence is a horror boardgame that a friend pointed out on KS that looked really cool and I don't have anything like it.
My wife is beyond excited for ApotheBakery should be getting shipped in 2 months, Personally im still waiting for my 2025 inspiration dream game to drop :)
@@kovray Hasnt come out yet LOL thats what i mean im waiting for that MUST HAVE AT ANY COST game to be announced thats how i felt about Plunder when i first saw it and had 0 regrets love it i want somthing like that again just a game when u see it you know you haft to have it havent seen my 2025 one yet but lots still coming out :)
I really like this because it made me see other game that the one we hear more of all the time ! And i put a lot of them on my list to watch out ! Right now I'm waiting on Fromage that I'm exited to play , and I'm interest by the new cooperative game Animal rescue team from Matt Leacock ! Can't wait to see more on this one !
The covers of Waddle and City Tour are striking! I'm looking forward to Luthier (I just late pledged today), Stupor Mundi, which I've been playing on BGA, and Galactic Cruise.
I'm at about 3-4 plays of Molly house on TTS, eagerly awaiting the backer copies to cross the ocean. All of my plays have been a joy and it's the type of game that I expect only gets to benefit from being played in person. It's hard to pin down one aspect of it that stands out, but for me it's gotta be the framing the game uses. At every step of the way the decisions players make feel authentic, organic and true to theme in a way that very few games manage to pull off.
I immediately ordered Molly House. The theme and team sold me. Now that I’ve played Pax Pamir 2 from Wherlegig, I am even more excited. First Monday in October by Fort Circle. I’ve been following this game since 2023. US Supreme Court historical game Then on the lightweight side - Spooktacular from Level 99 Games. I love that publisher, the theme is great. Like 20 asymmetric factions in the base game. I gave it a solo go on TTS and had a blast.
I'm so glad you didn't call Vantage a roguelike because Jamey was trying to get it off the ground as a roguelike for a while UNTIL I PUT A STOP TO IT AND MADE HIM TAKE IT DOWN. But actually I haven't kept up with it, so for all I know he's back to calling it a roguelike.
Hutan - I just approved a bunch of photos they are now on BGG Night Soil - Is on my list too, more photos are coming today or next week hopefully it will be coming to Kickstarter in the spring. Garden Lake - I'm still waiting to hear from the publisher, but Albi does distrobute in North America at PAX, and Tea Garden is coming through Capstone so might be hope there too!
My two most anticipated are Kickstarters that should be fulfilling very soon- Marvel Dice Throne X-Men with Marvel Dice Throne Missions, and Final Girl Series 3. I'm also very excited for Tend, John D. Clair's Unstoppable, Lairs from KTBG, and Light Speed Arena.
I'm a fan of CaptainSparklez and he's releasing a board game called Fable Fury this year, it's a dungeon crawler and it looks like a lot of fun, I'm excited for it!
