Funnily enough, my first HPG kit bag was the Runner's kit bag for filming. It was enough for a gimbal and my phone. These days I'm rocking modded original kit bag for "first line" gear. So this one's probably not for me, but cool to see new products from HPG nonetheless.
I have three of your kit bags. Love them! The only thing I dont really like is the harness. When I run with one the rectangular mesh section digs into the back of my neck. I’d like an H harness option or something different. It’s not an issue when I’m wearing a backpack because I have the straps that attach to my pack shoulder straps. I haven’t looked at your site in a while. Any alternative harness options?
The mesh backed harness is an H-harness, but better. Sounds like you have an adjustment issue. First make sure that the top straps are the correct length for the KB to sit where it needs to, and the top of the mesh to be at least a couple of inches below the nape of your neck. After doing that, tighten the side straps to keep the KB in place front to back. If it's digging in, the top straps are probably adjusted too long and / or the side straps not tight enough.
I mated my SAR full sized kit bag with a tarahumara back pack, using the runner’s harness. I became accustomed to putting it on & taking it off. Wears well all day without rubbing. Great for day hikes.
I've wrestled with all kinds of ways to carry a camera with wildlife lens somewhere other than inside of a pack. If you want it readily accessible but protected, this is as good as it gets -- and it's pretty good.
Finally, I have been looking for a "sling" bag to carry my sony body and 100-400 lens in the field for a while now. Will there be a waxed version or something with DWR properties eventually?
All of our 500d bags are inherently more waterproof than waxed canvas. The 500d has a completely waterproof PU coating on the inside and milspec DWR treatment on the outside.
We sell it as manatee, but really it's foliage which is grey with some green saturation. It is a different color than our manatee packs which truly are a grey color.

Looks like a badass addition to HPG. Please consider adding hi-viz orange as a color selection for states that require hunter orange on the chest.
We do orange Kit Bags every fall. Actually have some in stock right now. We'll see how popular this model is before doing an orange run.
Yep I currently own a medium SARs kit bag in orange and love it for the PA hunting season@@HillPeopleGear
So it's basically a m2016 buttpack for the chest. Probably a good companion for the Tara and junction
Looks great! If you guys could make a few nice high quality deep sitting ball caps I would love this!!
CANT TELL IF THIS BAG IS BIG OR IS THIS GUY 5'1 110 LBS
5'10", 220. It's the largest of our Kit Bags.
I think that would be great to carry my drone in. Way easier to access then taking my backpack off. Great work as usual.
Would love to see a medium version of this. This one is a little too large for my needs but a medium size with depth would be perfect.
Can’t wait to get one. When can I make an order? Still showing out of stock on your website.
We're waiting on a shipment of the QD buckles. It's suppose to be the end of this month.
@@HillPeopleGear Thanks for the reply. Does the cargo KB come with lifter straps?
Yes @@ruohansun5515
Looks like another winner of a product. A bit to big for my needs and frame however but my snubby runners is working out great.

I'm just excited to see a new product! Been a long time.
Interesting product!

@@HillPeopleGear ok. I’ll try that and see how that goes. Either way. Great product!

The hills have eyes gear? Joking. These look great.
I like it. Looks like a great piece of kit.
Handle bar or frame bar?
Been keeping up for years and still the mtn serape is out of stock. And I'm local....
Swing by the shop. We've gotten at least a couple hundred through this year.
Man, that's just what I want. I just don't have the frame to carry it!

@HillPeopleGear Thank you for the reply. Any idea when this bag will start selling? I seen on your website where you guys are waiting on buckles.
@@blackbird2056 should be within 2-3 weeks
Have you tried using this as a "brain" top bag for an Umlindi/Ute/Qui-Ya?
No, but it would clip in fine.
Works good with the recon. Also works with mystery ranch coulee 25, with a couple carabiners and some ingenuity.

first. Always love the new content
Hey what color jacket is that in this video ? Green or grey? ❤

@@HillPeopleGeargot it thanks I really like it. I’m a bit colorblind so I often confuse green w other colors
