My grandparents and I came to this sale on Saturday morning. We got 2 dogwoods, 1 october glory, 2 oak leaf hydrangeas, 2 butterfly plants, and 1 lavender plant. For us personally, the reason we came out is because yall did so well at listing your prices, lettting everyone know exactly what you had, and the prices were great. My nana saw a couple of plants on the list she had been wanting so we made the trip over. Thank yall again!
Awesome! It is very encouraging to see your business growing so well. Your daughter has really taken to the nursery business. I could see her having her own nursery someday.
Hard work should always reward everyone and a good heart makes it even better. Keep growing the aborvitea and reach out to landscapers. They usually look for them along with other plants. Great job all. Try some pumpkins corn stalks and hay bales.
Hey Craig, things grow bigger down in the south lol love you channel your family is precious. I hope you have many blessed, good ears and your nursery endeavors.
Your content is honest, authentic and helpful! You are definitely pulling your weight in saving and inspiring the mom and pop nursery. Enjoying your journey
@@John_GGG I hand watered for 5 years. It is a lot of work. Once you get your irrigation setup, you'll see a clear difference in plant quality. They THRIVE in sprinklers.
Well done! Mums is the fall are huge sellers here in the NorthEast. Listening to your advice I think we need to start growing Limelight Hydrangeas! Hope weekend two goes well!
I just came across one of your videos about propagation and just add to subscribe. I recently became interested in plants especially Japanese Maples. I wish I lived closer to your location so I could come pick up a bunch of plants for the pond/garden area I'm currently building. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Good job! I mentioned earlier on one of your videos to get mums and glad they sold. Next year look out for Dappled Willows, Salix integra from your wholesale nurseries. They sold like hotcakes up here in Michigan. I saw them at one nursery, they must have had 300 out and hemmed and hawed, decided to go back and get one 3 days later and they were all GONE. Learned a lesson, if you like it, buy it! :)
Another great one 👌 it's funny here in the southern hemisphere autumn is the main planing season especially for natives so almost peaks as much as spring! With the new addition of some bigger plants do you or have you thought about a delivery service and if that's ever needed?
I'm so happy for all of you. I tell you Chloe is a star she is so good at explaining things and John is always a pleasure to see him and his sunglasses. If you were in Arizona I saw several plants that will grow here I'd buy every one of them your plants are so healthy and so beautiful.
Congratulations! You all are such tremendous inspirations to so many people! I visited a native plant nursery near Chicago this spring at the end of April, well before our last frost date. They had hundreds of trees that they had overwintered by *heavily* mulching them. They stacked a line of pots very close together, shoveled mulch over them, shoved another line of pots close, more mulch, and so on, making sure the mulch was compacted a bit between the pots. Then over all the pots, probably another 6” of mulch. Made sense! It gets very cold and windy up here in winter (5A where the nursery is, I’m in 5b with a couple of microclimates on my land that may be pushing 4b). One section of trees, it looked like they may have put an open tunnel over them, just to block some wind. All their trees were gorgeous and very healthy looking! I’m sure you would not need as much mulch down your much-warmer way. Blessings!
Buying trees in the fall works the BEST. Planting in warm soil will expand the roots NOT the tops. Spring planting of trees in cold soil is a problem as tops will exceed root growth.
Great to see your progress, Craig. Question - at about the 2:06 mark you have a low hoop structure behind you. I need to build something similar for overwintering potted plants and I'm interested in learning more about it's construction. Is that 4 ft or 6 ft wide and are you using EMT or fence top rail, similar to the larger shade houses you built earlier in the year? Also, I see you have the base boards around the perimeter, but how are the hoops connected to the ground? Thank you!
Do you think people are buying your Limelight's because they know they are one of your "Limelight's". As the Savvy Dirt Farmer? I have been modeling the foundation of my Backyard Nursery following in your footsteps but of course with my own path in mind. Hosta wholesale order arrived this week with more shipping next week to winter over in the recent high tunnel/shade house in Spring. The lowest order amount I can locate is 100 minimum. I have held off because it seems like so many but admittedly tgey are my very favorite things my own garden. Propagation efforts getting better but slow at best. If I was able to come shop at your nursery I know I would definitely want one of your Limelight's because you are the Savvy Dirt Farmer 🌱 Seem like Chloe was amazed too. On a side note, she doesn't have to start a nursery she is already walking in her future.🤗🕊️💚 Thank you for sharing your road with us. 🤗🌱🌱🌱
The Limelights? I don't know... that's a good question. We've had quite a few people visit who said they knew us from our channel. It's been a very cool thing and we've got to meet some really cool people who watch. Very humbling. But in general, I just think people are hydrangea crazy, especially when they see them at great prices.
I don't give those sources here for a variety of reasons. But, doing some google searching should be helpful. They aren't that hard to find. thanks for understanding
Where are you located? I'd like to come purchase some plants to support your business but can't find your location. So if you could give me a location and times open thanks
They aren’t regular shippers. They may have an occasional sale. Dappled willows last year, arborvitae this years in a sort of flash sale….announced in video, but they sell fast.

Great Job!!! You have a little business woman in the making at your side!! So awesome!
Absolutely!! And she’s good at it

Hi, Nicole Pitt on Flower Hill Farm gave a source for mum plugs on a video in early summer.
I know where to get mum plugs. Growing them out into something beautiful? Whole ‘nother thing.
I can imagine@@savvydirtfarmer
@@savvydirtfarmer. Was discussing this with someone. They said first year growing pays for watering system. We hand watered this year. Lots of work.

Great hydrangea weather this year in NE.
you need a golf cart with a trailer to move all those plants faster.
A great vid!!! Thanks for all sharing and awesome info🎉 huge blessings for next sale!!
Thanks!! We need it.

Congratulation on the success you are having.
Fall is the best time to plant! Love to see the progress.
If nurseries have it in the Fall, true gardeners WILL buy it! Fall is the BEST time to plant . Esp trees and shrubs!
Yes, that's when we plant these things in Scandinavia.
That is awesome!
Outstanding! I think more and more people are enjoying fall planting. Thank you for sharing the experience!
Thank you for the education! Great team work!
Very encouraging - congratulations! And you've got quite the Sales and Marketing expert there :)
So true!

No way to add delivery at this point… not enough hours in the day

Great to meet you and your family today. You have an awesome set ups. We will be back soon.
Everything looks awesome!! I love your trees! The mums are beautiful too!! Great job!!
Hi, congratulations on your success, your family is doing and sharing well.
That’s great! Good job 👍🏻
We also do well with a fall sale.
I'm happy for you all! Hoping for great success in your future sales.
Sounds great! You guys have really expanded fast. Most trees over winter fine, but they get pot bound if left in the pots too long.
That’s awesome! Glad the entire family is involved. Your daughter could be running her own business soon, she knows her stuff!
That's the plan!
I think I know who's going to run that nursery when you're ready to retire!
We shall see....
So Happy your sale wen't well..keep up the hard work😍🍁🍁🍂🍃🌾💐🌺🌻
Mums are easy to propegate, if they dont have any patent try it, i do it right now for the next year and they are hot product anywhere.
Well done keep up the good work
