- The tone that makes up the Emergency Broadcast System, and its successor, the Emergency Alert System.
Just splitting the 853 hz and 960 hz tones, and then putting them back together. I got the idea from this video: • WGN Channel 9 - Emerge...
Thumbs up if Half as Interesting prompted you to search for the illegal Attention Tone and you ended up here.
yup thats what happened
Predicted😳
Me
Yup!
Fox getting sued sent me hear.
My jaw and skin are literally vibrating, it's quite unpleasant.
10/10 good choice for catching someone's attention.
My ears hurt
0:12 - That part was was an error. I put 850 and 860, but I meant to put 853 and 960. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I should also mention that ONLY if EAS Tones are broadcasted on the air, that will get the FCC to chase you down.
No worries
Well, since you admit to what you have done - I suppose we can let you live a day longer
Lucky not the EBS bc the EBS does not exist
so if i play this on an airplane or on a rocket ship, the FCC will chase me down????
@@aethrix no
I was actually thinking of playing these notes on my guitar to see what strings/frets they were on. I have these tones memorized perfectly
G# and A# or Ab and Bb
@@gatewaystarAnd the SAME headers are octave C notes.
On the Piano it’s G# And A# in the 4 octave
Use a synth sound to do it tho
A and a B in the 4th octave perhaps?
ahh yes the sound of Springtime in Louisiana
🤣👏👏🤙
Dude this is so real lmao ive had 2 or 3 severe thunderstorm warnings daily
And summertime in Florida
Anybody here because of the half as interesting video?
sure
Yes
Perhaps
indubitably
This is a test of the emergency RUclips comment section. This is only a test
This is really good! I never knew about this until now.
This sound is apparently illegal
I come from the same video you do
@@Android25K yeah I do too
Same, I'm Canadian but I hear it sometimes when listening to radio stations on the other side of the border, I always found it creepy as fuck, we have another thing here in Quebec for Amber alerts that I'd consider annoying but not creepy annoying
I too just learned that from the same HAI video. Evidently it mostly applies to radio and TV so it doesn't accidentally trigger a chain reaction but I can't verify the validity of that claim bc I'm too lazy and too drunk to remember to look it up
@@whogavehimafork I wish I was more drunk but I used all of my fruit for my Pina coladas):
The FCC would like to know your location.
Let me guess, you heard about this tone from Half as Interesting and looked it up? I know I did
@@eriktrp definitely why I'm here lol
@@eriktrp i knew of this tone, just didnt know it was illegal to rebroadcast and just wanted to see who on youtube rebroadcasted it aside from those eas channels
HAI guys
@@somethingsomething404 I don't like you
What a wonderful day
this sound is what I hear in sleep paralysis
I kinda doubt that.
@@largepoodle6036 Uh, why? What do i gain from lying, lmao
I never knew the attention tone is the 850 Hz and 860 Hz tone
HA LOL
It is actually 853 hz and 960 hz
Simulated these sounds on my digital piano... it's G# and A# respectively with a bit of up-tune on the tune shift knob.
I guess the tones are annoying because they are not exactly a musical note, and the notes are too close together to be played alone without being part of a chord.
Wouldn't this technically be considered microtonal.
@@Ceeaad that's way above my level of music theory.
Technically, it’s actually A6 and B6 clashing
@@iangreer4585 and _that_ sounds like splitting hairs.
@@timhinchcliffe5372 The 3 tones that proceed this are on a C in octaves (something I haven’t been able to figure out yet in full detail, but another deconstruction video like this on those tones will help), but they are the decoding tones to help the radio or TV understand what the message is. This tone is the one that is used to grab the listener’s attention.
This is a test. For the next 60 seconds this station will conduct a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. This is only a test.
(850 hz and 860 hz tone)
Who’s here from the HAI video?
Bro got balls of re enforced titanium
yes finally i searched for ages now to see how to make this tone
get ready for this on october the 4th lmAO
?
They used to use that tone on television. But now they really don't use it anymore. When weather alerts would normally pop-up on TV Normally it's the 1050 one A one thing I will say is they still use that for cell phones for weather alerts
I knew this would set off my anxiety, yet I still came here. Why do I do these things.
October 4th brought me here
Did Fox pull the sound from this channel and are now being fined 0.5 million?
yup.
Yes I too came here from Half as Interesting.
Are we all going to jail for having heard this now?
No, because this isn’t being broadcasted on cable television / car radio, so other stations won’t know the sound is playing, so it doesn’t make your tv think there is an E.A.S.
No, you are going to hell for that time you lied to your ma'
I can just imagine the illegal Attention tone being slipped into that "Shambala" song from 3 Dog Night.
How can two tones combine and make one of the most frightening noises in TV and Radio broadcast history?
people said this is illegal
It is illegal to play this over any radio broadcasting system TV, radio and the like the reason is it is a radio control tone it trips automated warning systems.
0:10
emergency alert system
Someone should take this video, make a parody of 0:10 and just make the "FBI open up sound effect" instead
Well if u have a phone it will be several beeps
This sound made me have a headache
bruh why did just get an actualy EAS alert in the second i started this video 💀💀💀💀😭😭😭😭
Better than most rap songs nowadays
Guaranteed to scare most children.
Can you do the hz tones for the same headers pls
My phone makes these tones when a call is hung up on.
They cannot go after me for playing this EAS tone. For them to chase people down who moves air particles in a specific way is a complete blatant violation of our First Amendment rights
It's 853 Hz, not 850 Hz.
That was an error
850/860hz vs 853/960hz
should have used a straight tritone honestly
Im Used To The 850 and 860 Hz
853hz Was just 🇬🇵 But without the harmonica
only a matter of time before someone uses it as part of a song
If they ever do, it will be illegal to play on any broadcast outlet, television and radio
It’s best not to play the illegal sound all together because our government and the FCC will get you fined or locked up or both✌️
Humm sounds like the old dial tones on the phone system hacve to say i8t would NOT cause alarm to me it would just be turned down
I don’t understand why this was the one used to grab people attention you’ve already put me into cardiac arrest with the 800 db static and now you play this shit
If you hear this sound in Taiwan, it means there is an earthquake
its the funny air alert
If the government really wanted peoples attention all they need is a small sample from a hanatarash song.
850 Hz
960 Hz
853 and 960
0:11
The FCC doesn’t like this video!
Why does the video say 850 Hz and 860 Hz? That’s not right.
That was an error.
k
RIP my ears lol
I hope no valid EAS tones are in this video
EAS?
Yes
You're all going to jail
It's legal
Wdym
He didn't play the S.A.M.E tones
calling the police on you for playing this sound.
It's not illegal if you don't broadcast this on TV and radio, i've even caught a EAS test (not actually) on 92.1 FM.
r/youngkidsonyoutube
bro im 17 right now and at the time of posting this i was 15, you obviously have no idea what a joke is and you're a redditor@@Etriland
@@bibonic I didn't get it, so it wasn't a joke.
By the way, he didn't play the S.A.M.E. tones, just the two-toned attention tone.
Lol these are a threat to national security
no they aren't, they LITERALLY save lives ffs...
