    I don't enjoy using fineliner or pen for some reason although I keep thinking of doing some quicker sketches with line and wash.

      Meda, you can also try to use colored pencils instead of fineliners. Maybe it would work for you as well. But line and wash is awesome, too, of course!

    I loved watching this. I have trouble getting my paint to "slide" and spread like you were doing. It either gets "stuck" or too soggy. Guess I just need more practice but sometimes I wonder if I have the right brush/paint/paper.

      Susie, I'm pretty much sure it's your paper! Brushes and paint can also affect your washes, but the wrong paper is usually the reason it doesn't work as you would expect. In one of my latest videos, I explain How to Choose the Right Watercolor Paper for Your Sketches. You can find it here:
