I agree with everything you guys said! I’m Putting my 2 week notice on Monday after almost 2 years due to too much passive aggressiveness from the dr I work for even tho I love his work and the care he gives his patients but the constant passive aggression I get has made my anxiety way worse than before I’m literally constantly nervous and almost scared and feel like I just can’t grow. Thankfully i got hired at the dentist office I’ve been going to for a little over a year and their vibe and environment seems so different! Im so excited and ready for a change 😌

Any new information, tips etc. for a certified dental assistant returning to the workplace since pandemic times? I’ve done a few temporary jobs, some with one or two other permanent or temporary DAs and some I was solo temporary and wow feel i need refresher and update on some technology. Also have front office experience so tips to incorporate sidechair and front office. Please and thank you.

I'm currently looking for my dream office, omg, I went to this job where I thought everything was going to work, but the Doctor was not the best, after some days spent, I realized I was not gonna work for me because of him, I didn't see a future working with a mean careless person.

That happens! Good thing you made a decision quickly. It is not worth staying at a place you know it’s not right for you!

My only complaint sometimes is with the doctor, he is weirdly some days, when I work with him. Sometimes I am tired or something going on that day and I am not complete focus, could be he notices and he take my suction thing away and he looked me really bad and sometimes I take it personal but I understand is no me, that the only thing that I don't like from my Dental office, I have a good environment with my coworkers I have been almost 1 year in this office how can stop that inconvenience?

Communication is key! Next time your dr gets frustrated and treat you badly call him out! Let him not you don’t appreciate his attitude and you guys need to find another way to discuss these issues.
But also, we have to be focused at work. Can you imagine if the dr some days is not focused and accidentally hit another tooth while drilling? Our job is serious and we must be focused to prevent mistakes. Good luck! 🙂

Hi Carla and Gabby! I love your videos...I just found your videos recently and it really helps me a lot your information since I have a working interview tomorrow as dental assistant. Quick question? Is good to work in the office that they have had camera inside the office? thanks so much

We’re happy you found us! Best of luck in your dental journey! Regarding your question,,, I would question their reasoning for having cameras; do they have a history of burglaries? or do they just want to spy on employees? However, there are different workplaces that have cameras like retail stores, banks, etc so overall I think its a “security” measure. But you have the right to ask because by accepting a job offer you’ll be giving consent to be recorded.

that’s me right now i’m the only one who takes lunch out of the assistants, the hygienists have a whole block. Sometimes the Dr too. But the assistants never take longer than 20 even. No punching out
