Good stuff, thanks. I looked at a lot yesterday that if developed will have a steep downward driveway. Am concerned that may not be able to get a building permit. Fire rescue may not be able to get their vehicle down the driveway to be built
Nicely done video showing the details and perspective of the driveway. I live in northern virginia and considering adding a carport at the bottom of my driveway. It’s not this steep but somewhat sloped. Wondering if you have any thoughts for consideration. Thanks!
Hello. I do fix driveways issues, to make a driveway fit a measured given space. I think you've been longing for the skill set I've come to produce, solving this very issue in these communities. Can't wait to hear from you.
We’re first time home buyers in nj, moved in Aug 2021. Wish we had someone to guide us with this…we have a steeply sloped narrow driveway with drainage issues that run into the yard & keep it wet. We just got hit with the first snowstorm while living here and I’m nervous. Had to act fast in last years hot market in the areas outside of nyc. NOW we know what to look for in our next home, new sub 👍🏾
The market has people jumping on things they normally wouldn't, your story of finding issues post close isn't unusual. The key is to try to keep a purchase as unemotional as possible, it's all business. Look for problems, falling in love with something is easy. Work with professional agents always, "no" is not a bad word,,,,
I can dare say that you didn't have a proper house-plan, rather a driveway -plan that u would view before a building is actually approved then constructed. Many don't know this. So, I can help you through it all..
Switchbacks or a gentle arc...in this case there wasn't the width available and simply few options other than what they did. Of course builders will weigh cost, a retaining wall is needed but wasn't installed.
Looks like it what I do. How much are you willing to pay? Take it from someone whose just started this business and knows it's expensive, but would let u negotiate price
Durban, South Africa can be pretty steep too 1) Build house “into” the hillside as opposed to “on top” 2) Or else build the garage/driveway into the hillside and stairs to the house level. This is not safe imho
@@mitchgoudy homes below grade will have water headed their way during rains. When driveways are declined, we see water rush down the concrete and hit the garage doors - water will win and gain entry. Options are drains, swales and the like but unless that control is well designed and maintained, water will win. Surface water control is the number one reason for wet basements, crawls, mold and general rot.
It should. But to let you know, provided there is a provable plan that it's a designer-driveway, with known specs, it should positively impact the valuation
I'm for driveways like this one. I thoroughly fix them, leaving with specs of what car is a minimum before any bounce; improving speed of entry/exit, taking any direction with your driveway. I have a pdf to prove it.... Just drop your email, and I'd let you see my solutions to these problems. You cannot trust a person who'd make a driveway without any prior space measurements. It's how I win....
I think it time we're to command attention to the fact, that, driveways must be planned for, with as much attention as given to the planning of the house people live in; given in a map that traces its optimum shape, giving details of minimum approach and base angle that driveway allows, eith a wide variety of planning options... Come on adults...
If you hate your neighbors across you, just roll a bowling ball down the driveway

Feeling so much better about our steep driveway. 😅
Driveway shape failure. I, and only I, not any other company do I know does it. Worth a try.... 🙏🙏🙂

Good video
What is the grade on that drivway? 20% ??

Cut the hill in big steps style and throw Little Rock’s or make the driveway in a curve like a C style to reduce the inclination of the vehicle

Looks like it could be done, probably very expensive and that’s why they didn’t do it.

Not so expensive, just requires the right knowledge, which is my specialty
What would you recommend? Other than the obvious dont buy a hill driveway?

I design driveways. It gets simpler, improves everything
It’s good or bad with steep driveway
I'm on a bit of a slope, have been with the last few homes. Always better up than down, water is a killer
@@Hmtatlanta What do you mean water is a killer? Thanks, looking at a downhill sloped driveway property now.

Does steep driveway impact valuation?
It should. But to let you know, provided there is a provable plan that it's a designer-driveway, with known specs, it should positively impact the valuation
Well, I'm personally working on those terms. One day I may get back to you
Would speed bumpers work ?
May not
Do you know what grade % this driveway was?
Don't know Mike, just did the appraisal. I do know it was steep enough to see plenty of scrapes in the pavement from long wheel base vehicles...
I'm sure it was well beyond 30% slope
@@slicksloth_416lol I mine is steeper

Mr Miller and team?
as a delivery driver, I hate steep driveways lol.
I'm guessing that there are some you run into the can't be accessed...
I'm for those: insanely steep driveways... I love fixing them, because it's my calling
add a CarTurner automobile turntable where the red SUV is and a lot of problem goes away.
Lift the truck and you’re good! Lol
Not an issue for my truck, good approach angles and I can bump up with the air suspension. Longer wheelbase though...not so easy
of it ices the rough shifty looking cement work won't help
Mike Miller and team: please 🙏 contact me for functionality review in home like that. Got something for you!!
Yo joysey 😂😂😂😂
Nah, Brooklyn and then Long Island...
It's more cosmetic than solution.
Builders will look to utilize any site, any way

Too late to talk about it.
Cheap block of land.
House should have been dug in with garage underneath.
Bad planning
Haven't thought it's that late☺️
GTA sand andreas front home road😂
That’s ugly
I got a plan....
