I do think that with your build there's little reason not to swap out stretch with archon stretch. Even if it is not reliable as a main energy source, the energy is a really nice passive bonus that you will feel in the end.
As a Wisp main, I love Citrine, but I find it hard to compare them, because they do entirely different things. As you say Citrine is the better support frame, because, well Wisp is not a support frame, she is a toolbox. Her play style entirely changes depending on your setup, making her a skeleton key to any content. I say this not to diminish Citrines worth but it's like comparing a Swiss army knife (Wisp) to a lighter (Citrine). You can do more things in general with a good army knife, especially if you're creative, even creating a fire, but there are certain things a lighter is just made for that an army knife will never be able to.
Dude as soon as she got released I never stopped farming her I finally got her built and I don’t see myself playing any other frame no more lol I’d farm her again I think her farm is actually not terrible and also uniques collecting the lil crystals and what not … the downside is folks get tired so you don’t get much but you can always run solo for the enemies are very weak in my opinion but I also been playing for awhile so I can’t speak for others all in all I believe she is definitely S TIER
I haven't looked into Citrine since shortly after she came out and builds then. I have mixed feelings hearing that the limit on her third ability of not hitting multiple enemies when you use AoE weapons got changed. It made sense to not encourage the AoE meta with how Citrine encouraged precise shots on the crystals with her fourth ability. On the other hand, it's very nice and makes her third ability much better and not my default choice to subsume over anymore
a small note at 1:15 citrine isn't available from the circuit you will actually have to push through her incredibly tedious and horrid farm to acquire her gl
What I find that nobody notices or mentions, is that her 3 has effectively infinite range. As long as you stay within the crystal's circle, any enemy, no matter how far away they are from you and the circle, will get status procs from the crystal if you shoot them.
Yup, all that matters is the shooter OR the target is within the prism's range. Making it an S tier ability for stationary objectives, including the mirror defense mission she's earned from 😂 (IMO any quest or mission to earn a frame SHOULD be trivialized by using that frame once it's earned.)
I do love Wisp, but lately I've been maining Octavia, Dante, and in higher levels, Yup! Citrine! I hated the grind to get her, but once i got her, it was super worth it.

My favorite primary Tiberon Prime is a beast. Problem is you don't have enough mod slots to just make it work. If you build viral you don't crit hard enough, if you max crit you do nothing without viral. Either way you don't have a slot for a bane either. Enter Citrine's 4. Forget crit chance. Now you can get viral, bane and crit dmg, of which Tiberon has a high base multiplier. With Lavos new augment you can go the other route and forget viral cause you can apply it yourself in post.
It's better that the new augment doesn't slow the enemies affected by spread because that would suck for defence. You would have to hunt enemies otherwise. It's perfect augment as is.
Another great thing is despite your low efficiency on the build you can just lead enemies over to another enemy with a crystal on it if you have a decent amount of time remaining.
Her 4 also works on acolytes. Love citrine have been using her for all mission types and bounties. Free energy and healing dmg reduction and damage is to easy
Watching this video after the melee afflictions arcane dropped maxes me realize that her + harmony could maybe one shot max level enemies. Status duration massively increases the damage of the detonation. Double the status duration, double the damage. Just wish her crystals were a bit less spread out compared to something like Banshee's buff. But then again it can proc multiple instance so at some point, just point and shoot.

enjoying boar prime and strun prime with atomos. Weapons that can hit multiple enemies just rip them alive with her 3. and 4 mass spreading now is so useful.

Looking at it from a more archetype view. Dante is a summoner. Depending on his summons he gains different archetypes he can lean into. This is amplified even more by which pet, spectre, crew member etc that you summon. For example with just a HOUND alone Dante can have 9 separate distractions on the field. While others can have several of those targets from the hounds, the difference is Dante is so cast heavy that the uptime is built in and he can easily keep his energy levels up due to a combination of innate long duration of abilities and tome mod buffs. Citrine is better at buffing and de buffing as a whole. Wisp can provide buffs but is better at providing a variety of utility effects such as blinds, drawing aggro, stealth etc. Trinity is a cleric and is flat out support Nekros seems like a summoner but is more of a Necromancer My two cents. 😊

She is *VERY* versatile, I use her 1st and 3rd in pretty much any defense, survival, or stick together mission and her 2nd is great for hp and damage resistance then her 4th is good for crowd control and disruption when you need it most. And I can totally agree that she is better than Wisp 😉
Love your vids as always. You said something at the start that made me just like stop and think for a moment. "She doesn't even need a Helminth, that's how strong her kit is." This kind of makes me wanna ask. Is the Helminth good for the game, or would the game as a whole be better if Warframe kits were given way more focus and attention to keep each one relevant.
I think the helminth when it was added was mainly a bandaid solution for older frames that didnt keep up as well. Ever since Reb took over weve started getting more good reworks of older kits and while it takes more effort on DEs part its infinitely better for the games health than having to rely on gloom or roar or whichever other subsume is currently meta to make older frames keep up better in endgame content.
me an intellectual: Dante, the overguard is just a dont get into jail free card, you can build his book to deal a load of damage or to primer enemys while it syncs to your attack and you can get status chance. His kit is just insane and even barely modded he is stronk.

I like both and switch between the sometimes, but I prefer Wisp with the invisibility for spy (the teleport abilty is also great), getting that much health plus healing and crowd control electricity (archon flow for regen) with huge fire rate increase is amazing. I like Citrine for the orb drops, the cool turret and healing plus increased dmg with crystals. I use wisp more as I can have chroma helminth on her plus augment with cold for more tanking or also eclipse for more dmg. I do like that no helminth required for Citrine and Wisp 😬😬 bye bye 4th abilty.
I am an oberon and trinity main. Oberon is my unkillable warframe and also my best support frame. Legit level 9999 enemies cant kill him with me standing still. and my trinity is my solo nuking frame.
I have subsumed over her 1 with Nourish. And I subsumed her 3rd with pillage on another config. I find her 4th to good to subsume over, it allows you to kill Acolytes with bad weapons cuz of that crit buff lol
i play a lot of citrine and have learned the following: i dropped equilibrium for one tau purple equilibrium shard and have been using it for weeks and can honestly say it is NOT worth it. you really want the full bonus equilibrium. also, archon vitality is not needed for anything other than a roar+ gem build using a heat inherit primer. a lot of people act like that mod is mandatory on her..
Citrine isn’t that bad of a frame to farm. Just use Titania fly around and collect those crystals and just watch a video on the side if u like. Pretty chill farm

Her speed and shock mote are very effective in high level mission, and you can replace her 4 with what you want from helminth.
Breach surge is absolutely busted haha, the fact that you can have breach surge and any damage buff you want on her at the same time is enough for me to main her. And I agree that wisp survivability is out of this world. And you don’t need fire rate or attack speed mod on her, so thats a free mod slot for more damage.
So for Citrine a generally solid archon shard layout would be 2 green shards for corrosion stacks, 2 yellow shards for casting speed, and one flex shard for whatever you want? If that is the case, would a purple shard allow you to replace the equilibrium mod in your build (given that she produces so many health/energy orbs)?
Off the top of my head, Wisp has a less active playstyle as her AoE debuff is for all incoming damage on the target, (versus Crystalize's debuff on crystal growth) bonus fire rate on her speed mote to open up modding on her weapons, and unfortunately a free Helminth slot over Sol Gate for anythinf you need. Meanwhile, Citrine gets infinite energy, free priming, team DR and Health regen, and can push weapons with less than 30% CC after mods to 300% like the Nukor and Sporothrix; BUT, she is difficult to fit a Helminth slot into, as all 4 of her abilities are amazing compred to Wisp's 3. Pick your poison, both have their benefits depending on your prefered loadout. If you have a good crit based or hybrid loadout, take Wisp. If you have a "decent" or status loadout, Citrine is your go to!
Heres my take on the debate Arcane blessing on citrine is like icing on the cake granted wisp easily gets it at the same time though dmg reduc is peak on citrine And it just has so much more fun than just gliding for invisibility somehow I don’t feel so exposed when I use her
Citrine is good, but. U still need energy for support. So If u do mistake and lost energy (don't pay attention and spam, murmur enemy) u can't support, wisps flower still stay on ground, buff stay on u for decent time. Wisp have much more CC and inv frames. Citrine supporting work much less on boss like encounters without ads, and we can get more of this in future. DR work less on scaling, and u mention it.
You are just grasping for reasons. There are so many ways to get energy: pizza, operator, citrine's own abilities, mods, companions that a single mistake will not doom you.
with the new augment, citrine can keep her full kit. wisp's 4 just isnt good/fun enough to keep. however, my preference with citrine is using breach surge as her 4 and playing a noncrit laetum xD
I dont have her but I want her, my thing is tho, she fixes an issue I have with wisp, wisp is far more effective in stationary gameplay, defense, bounties, mobile defence, where as Citrine is a more mobile from what I see here... But keep in mind that outside heath buffs... They do completely different things... Wisp increases movement speed and fire rate and gives everyone cc.. Citrine debuffs enemies
with garantee red crits does that mean you theoretically dont need to focus on crit chance and just do crit damage focus if you had to pick over the two? or does crit damage not matter if its already red crits? (asking) the same for status chance, does chance not matter as much is it still viable/recomended to have status and crit chance with citrine?

Because her shields also benefit from the damage reduction her 2 has , meaning it takes that much oonger for her shields to deplete than if she didn't have it active
If you dont use casting speed on her one and three and four feels not good to say the least but better subsume off her four anyways since everyone runs a incarnon weapon with a riven and has more than 300 percent crit anyways it can be a cockblock just like the old kavat crit buff that capped your crit to orange man that was annoying.

Normal Corrosive shards x2 & 1 or 2 Tau casting speed shards & the 1 or 2 left Tau red for str. Or 1 casting & one parkhour as i have.

I think with an average of 100 cyrstels per run (20 minutes) it's about 5 hours in total? Or roughly that.

Replaced her 2 with nourish and combat discipline, works well with her 3. You can even go semi afk with one spectre.

Its just nice to have to have more health as a buffer and get double the value from her heat procs.
I am that Wisp that everyone wants in their party. Citrine is great, but +200% firerate/attack speed booster is an art.

And I agree that wisp survivability is out of this world. And you don’t need fire rate or attack speed mod on her, so thats a free mod slot for more damage.

So for Citrine a generally solid archon shard layout would be 2 green shards for corrosion stacks, 2 yellow shards for casting speed, and one flex shard for whatever you want?
If that is the case, would a purple shard allow you to replace the equilibrium mod in your build (given that she produces so many health/energy orbs)?

tip for farming her, u just gotta do a mission type that gives u a currency which u can exchange for her its called platinum ez.
that's not even the worst farm, you don't have to waste plat on her.
Possibly one of the best users or the Archon mods.
I would keep crystalize on Citrine if her best weapon for crystalize Sporotrix and it's augment wasn't buggy still.
Tbh i think stacking citrine with wisp or trinity is the play for a ton of mission types.
Off the top of my head, Wisp has a less active playstyle as her AoE debuff is for all incoming damage on the target, (versus Crystalize's debuff on crystal growth) bonus fire rate on her speed mote to open up modding on her weapons, and unfortunately a free Helminth slot over Sol Gate for anythinf you need.
Meanwhile, Citrine gets infinite energy, free priming, team DR and Health regen, and can push weapons with less than 30% CC after mods to 300% like the Nukor and Sporothrix; BUT, she is difficult to fit a Helminth slot into, as all 4 of her abilities are amazing compred to Wisp's 3.
Pick your poison, both have their benefits depending on your prefered loadout. If you have a good crit based or hybrid loadout, take Wisp. If you have a "decent" or status loadout, Citrine is your go to!
If you go health tank you can easaly go insanly far even in endurence so you dont realy need shieldgating

Arcane blessing on citrine is like icing on the cake granted wisp easily gets it at the same time though dmg reduc is peak on citrine
And it just has so much more fun than just gliding for invisibility somehow I don’t feel so exposed when I use her
Citrine is good, but. U still need energy for support. So If u do mistake and lost energy (don't pay attention and spam, murmur enemy) u can't support, wisps flower still stay on ground, buff stay on u for decent time. Wisp have much more CC and inv frames. Citrine supporting work much less on boss like encounters without ads, and we can get more of this in future. DR work less on scaling, and u mention it.
You are just grasping for reasons. There are so many ways to get energy: pizza, operator, citrine's own abilities, mods, companions that a single mistake will not doom you.

with the new augment, citrine can keep her full kit. wisp's 4 just isnt good/fun enough to keep. however, my preference with citrine is using breach surge as her 4 and playing a noncrit laetum xD
I dont have her but I want her, my thing is tho, she fixes an issue I have with wisp, wisp is far more effective in stationary gameplay, defense, bounties, mobile defence, where as Citrine is a more mobile from what I see here... But keep in mind that outside heath buffs... They do completely different things... Wisp increases movement speed and fire rate and gives everyone cc.. Citrine debuffs enemies

Because her shields also benefit from the damage reduction her 2 has , meaning it takes that much oonger for her shields to deplete than if she didn't have it active

If you dont use casting speed on her one and three and four feels not good to say the least but better subsume off her four anyways since everyone runs a incarnon weapon with a riven and has more than 300 percent crit anyways it can be a cockblock just like the old kavat crit buff that capped your crit to orange man that was annoying.
