Omg I just can’t stop dancing! 2020 now but just how I remember it back in the 60’s with my record player! Played it constantly. After all these years, it sure sounds GROOVY! 😍
I came across this video while looking for Archie Bell and the Drells, and now having found it, I am obsessed! These guys are unbelievable!! How could I have never heard of the Nicholas Brothers??! Whoever put this video together did a great job sync-ing the music with these phenomenal dance moves.
Sept.1st: Happy birthday Singer-songwriter Archie Bell of Archie Bell & The Drells. Philadelphia International All Stars. Thank you and God bless. Thanks for the upload, Antonio Lopez. RIP Fayard and Harold Nicholas. Blessings
The Legendary Nicholas Brothers!! My dad told me about this duo and I just thought he was bragging and exaggerating. Then one day I saw them dance in the movie "Stormy Weather". Man, my dad saw the look on my face and he broke into a big grin that said "I told ya !"
I had seen an interview where someone was going to cut the Nicholas Brothers' routine from a film (not the one shown). That person was told 'No you are not'.... -->Seems there was not much else going on in the movie I believe it is the movie where they slide down a 'spiral' set of stairs. -->I wish I could remember the movie name
Fantastic! Archie Bell coupled with joyous, life-affirming classic footage of a flash dancing sequence by the peerless Nicholas brothers (from the movie, 'Down Argentine Way'). Simply sensational, and such wonderful fun to watch!
Archie Bell and the Drells friggin Rocked! I grew up on cruising Van Nuys Blvd on Wednesday nights. Although, I wasn't a Low Rider per say, a hell of a lot of my Val Buddies, put up with my Gearhead, Hippie, Surfer/Stoner ass. But the bottom line was the music of the time. And one of the baddest assed songs for the time was, "Tighten Up."
