Czar has a beautiful pedigree. On his dam side goes all the way to War Admiral and to Man o War. Tb's have Akhal teke in thier bloodline. So its no surprise for him to have a beautiful metallic coat. Take a look at old photos of Man o War and see how Czar head looks a lot like him. He's a gorgeous boy❤🐎 Has beautiful get growing up❤
If he has a bad temper, then I won't even consider as a prospect.
War Admiral's family line goes back to a mare called Cinderella. She should've been named The Wicked Stepsister. She was so vicious, that handlers had to be armed. Her son, Hastings, was a killer. He would attack anyone that got close to his stall & literally shake them to death. He would also attack other horses on the track. His son, Fair Play, inherited the temper. ALL horses descended from Cinderella have this vicious temper right down to today. It's always bred true. The only reason this line of thoroughbreds survived is the fact that they could run. That entire bloodline should have been completely destroyed.
I will not have a vicious horse in my possession. The second that horse attacks anyone is the second it gets a bullet between the eyes.

Our boys are so similar the way they keep themselves busy and try to help 😊 mine even has a similar shirt lol...love it! When I'm getting in rides I bring my son's tractors and I'll watch him play, gonna miss it when he's older 🥹

We raised Appaloosa’s when I was a young-un. Had a Sorell mare someone abandoned on my place that even tho I’m disabled now I took care of her for 12 years. She was 14 1/2 hands, big ol gal. Your ranch is beautiful! God bless you & yours.

Tsar's coat reminds me of the akhal-teke breed. His coat is so shiny in that metallic way just like theirs. He is so beautiful, I think he may be my favorite. It's pretty hard to choose as all your horses are beautiful and so well behaved.

Hello PDR family. It's nice to see Brooks working the ranch, the cute lil cowboy that he is. Dibbs' foal is a beauty. I thought maybe the name "Nizhoni" meaning beautiful in Navajo. Czar is in great shape compared to last year. His color is fabulous. His off spring is amazing too.
Czar has that beautiful color like some Akhal-teke's have, but their build is nothing alike. Lol. ❤
There's a few quarter horse bloodlines that are "metallic" like that. It shows up best in a classic buckskin like Czar because they look like molten copper.
If you get it in a grulla (blue dun) they can look like those dark Tahitian pearls - shiny dark lavendar.
If I recall correctly, it has something to do with the shape and locations of the pigment granules in the hairs - they refract light a bit differently than the typical horse.

God Czar is so darn beautiful ! Yes the Akhal Teke ( Turkish/Persian horse) has a fine hair coat where the hair shafts are translucent and they act like tiny prisms that make the coat look metalic; the most iconic is the golden buckskin. Your Czar 's coat looks this way also from the excellant care you give him along w/ his health and feed, better than any Akhal Teke ! Dibbs and Czars baby could be your next great barrel horse w/ her bloodline ! Nice of Brooks to stay home to help you😉😁😄

Monster was started by Henson and used for several years on the ranch. He doesn’t get ridden much any more, but I bet anyone could jump on him today and he’d be willing to go to work!
