However, the more he struggles then the more he loses both national support and fan support here. DeJounte is a good player, but he’s not a national star or name that many Atlanta fans would rally around. And KAT doesn’t bring the winning resume with ANY of the teams that have been built around him so you’re talking about MUCH less potential fan engagement and buy-in. Exactly bro the thing is the media or some sources don’t like Trae remember when he first came in the league the league didn’t no too much bout him Trae was known as humble and conservative so somebody is capping somewhere
This is wild for real it would be interesting to see them trade Trae Young to a new team to see if he can play better for a different team. Trae young had to change his ways so that he can get his trade up if he keeps playing the way he plays then he is gonna cause himself and the organization misery. And nobody gonna want to play with him cause they think of him as a selfish, spoiled brat.
Who cares. Trae isn’t a winning player. He has zero value defensively and frankly he isn’t great enough to be a player you build around. He is not good enough to run an offense on a championship winning team
I’ve been a hawks fan for 7 years and am at a near breaking point. I’m on the fence whether to just support my local team Celtics or to stick it out. I wanna stay loyal but this team has killed my love for them game and I’m not even near Atlanta. Also congratulations on the new kid.
If you've been supporting them this long, don't leave now, I have been a fan since '17 and its rough, but we'll hopefully be a competator sometime soon, stick with the hawks
If Trae actually adapted his game similar to Steph and would dribble up then pass the ball go around a few screens or relocate in the corner for a catch and shoot... He would be even more dangerous
No matter how amazing you are offensively, you can’t be a defensive liability in the team if you want to succeed in the playoffs. Your opponents would pick and attack you all the time. He will always be a great regular season player. The only way he can help a team win a championship is he has to come off the bench which will never happen.
@@lordoffaiyum9727 I doubt Luka will ever have a playoff series where he has a PER of 5.3 like Trae had last year though (2nd worst in the league), and he may end up with another disastrous series this year. The guy is shooting 39.7% in the playoffs, 28.2% from 3P, with 4.6 Turnovers/g, those numbers would make Westbrook blush.
Why propose a trade of Trae and then trade Collins also if Trae is the problem? Why correlate Trae's defense with the teams defensive rating when the Hawks have zero great defenders? Bogie is torchable. Hunter is torchable. Bey is torchable. Collins is average. Capella is good but not elite. Murray gets a few steals but doesn't STOP people. This TEAM is poor defensively with or without Trae. A lack of player versatility up and down the roster is the real reason for Trae's struggles. No one attacks the basket. No one has a repertoire on offense. They all just wait in space or under the rim for Trae or Murray to hand feed them make-able shots... and they often miss those. Trae could easily average 12-14 assists with better teammates. THAT'S how he could lead a team to a championship.
Hawks fan here! First admit you were wrong for saying hawks will not make playoffs. Second. yes trade trae and keep DJ as full time starting point guard. Better defender and we can build around him and get rid of the weak defense that trae leaves us with
As a Hawks fan I would be glad to see Trae go, he’s not a team player, doesn’t put in effort on D nor is he a winner unless he can somehow receive a ton of help through off season trades/signings but that’s defs not happening now. Wish we kept Luka on draft night 😢
I would add the Bucks. Not convinced Middleton will be able to consistently stay healthy and not as good when he is there. Trae would fit perfect with Jrue in backcourt. And Giannis will be able to keep the team in line.
Definitely not for KAT - KAT has why more upside than Trae at this point in their careers. Maybe for Barnes? I wouldn't have said so last year, and I'm still hedging on no this year - he didn't really improve much between last year and this year, but as far as I'm aware it's not uncommon for second year players to have a bit of a sophomore slump. For Herro though, yeah, I could actually see that. Herro didn't have a bad year, but Trae does feel like an upgrade there, and while I don't know where they rank defensively that definitely feels like their MO (they definitely hit a lot of under-points this year in betting this year, that's for sure). The issue wiith Trae is similar to Kyrie though IMO - attitude/personality. You're not taking a risk on the talent somuch as taking a risk on the locker room fit. It's a gamble many teams wouldn't be willing to take; the only reason the Heat might is because they're not *too* far off, even if they did have to go through the play-in this year.
NBA is a team sport and passing the ball to your teammates on the court. You want to confuse the defense to score the bucket. It is difficult to carry a team and feel like you're not tired, but the truth is it is extremely exhausting. Either you figure out to get along with your teammates and coaches or ask them to trade you depending on your contract if it is going to work out with other teams that are willing to trade for you and other assets that go with it.

i have the trade going the other way around because no one wants to see franchise cornerstones get traded, let alone two cornerstones get traded.
The hawks won’t trade their studs away after trading unprotected 1st rounders to San Antonio
@@jordans9303 the hawks aren’t even using john collins and dejounte has one year left on his deal and he’s not stupid he can see that running two point guards isn’t working. gobert is still a very good player and solves a lot of problems for the hawks, his fit on the wolves is just really bad.
@@visno they have capela not even worth it
@@alexescutia4805I think capela contract is expiring soon??
@@alexescutia4805 gobert is a significant upgrade over capela as a defender and also as a screen setter and roll man, granted those are the only 2 things that gobert is good at on offense but he's still better than capela. they can also flip capela to get a wing to help cover up trae's defensive shortcomings.
You really got to re release some of these videos because they work perfectly a year later
you can't build a championship team with him as a center piece
legit tho these trae trade rumors was even damn awkward like the Van Gundy firing from Dwight howard all those years ago
Trae is poison to coaches. He's a coach killer. Who wants an unstable locker room?
Great job with that Chime ad 👏🏾
imagine Trae on the Nets tho, wit Mikal and Claxton
they could be potential contenders ngl
When you are a vital(Draymond Green)part to any team(The Warriors)winning 4 NBA Championships you're not overrated in my book!!!
As a Raptor fan, no thanks for Trae Young trade
It's good teamwork team and don't wanna ruin by him
I hope Trae wins MVP one day, walks up to receive his award and says, “it’s quiet as F in here”.
He ain’t gonna win let’s be real
Bro is reading that Chime advertisement at a 5th grade level @ 3:00
Sincerely,
Hawks fan
I'd say the Tim Duncan era was the last of those guys' kind. It's the TikTok generation now, "hafta look cool, screw the coach, screw the team, ain't them gonna make my Lambo dreams come true. World moves, not me." Jimmy Butler said it best: "they ain't shit."
Curry is prob the last guy we’ll see that is that similar to Duncan in terms of leadership. The younger guys coming in just have massive egos
Tatum and Brown doesn't have that kind of ego.
Just give the Hawks time. They got a great coach, and a GREAT player in Trae
Exactly bro the thing is the media or some sources don’t like Trae remember when he first came in the league the league didn’t no too much bout him Trae was known as humble and conservative so somebody is capping somewhere
And ion think it’s Trae cause he done said he wants win nd that’s what he’s focused on the media making that man unfocused
Let me answer for you.... No.
I’ve been a hawks fan for 7 years and am at a near breaking point. I’m on the fence whether to just support my local team Celtics or to stick it out. I wanna stay loyal but this team has killed my love for them game and I’m not even near Atlanta. Also congratulations on the new kid.
Go be a Celtics fan if you even thinking about it bruh
I mean that’s not being a fan lol.. Fans stick through even in the hard times.. That’s called a fair weather fan 😂
If you've been supporting them this long, don't leave now, I have been a fan since '17 and its rough, but we'll hopefully be a competator sometime soon, stick with the hawks
looks like you've already decided to me...
Come over to the Green Team. It’s a lot more fun 😂
If Trae actually adapted his game similar to Steph and would dribble up then pass the ball go around a few screens or relocate in the corner for a catch and shoot... He would be even more dangerous
And actually try on defense. Steph went from an awful defender to pretty decent by putting in a lot of hard work. Trae doesn’t seem to care
@@Romanus- tbf Steph was terrible until recently. Trae is still young
@@blobfishyyyyy7640 no pun intended
@@blobfishyyyyy7640 Steph started being average on Defense around 2013/2014
@@ddoprre7486 yooo I didn’t even realize that
I love watching trae hope he wins a ring someday
Can’t wait for the off season videos to start
No matter how amazing you are offensively, you can’t be a defensive liability in the team if you want to succeed in the playoffs. Your opponents would pick and attack you all the time. He will always be a great regular season player. The only way he can help a team win a championship is he has to come off the bench which will never happen.
Remember when people said the Trae/Luka trade was a win/win?
Yeah it’s a lose/lose.
Luka “looks” better as a player but he comes with issues too.
Luka missed the playoffs for a reason..
Trae does not miss post season. Rather have him over Luka. He creates offense. Way better passer
@@lordoffaiyum9727 Luka dominated post season. trae 5/18
@@lordoffaiyum9727not a single GM in the league would take Trae over Luka
Congrats on the baby 🎉
Jimmy would bully tf out of Trae 😂😂😂
Pretty much 😂😂😂
I hope my Heat don't waste their time with Trae Young. We need to go after Damian Lillard.
He made enemies with the whole state of Atlanta
Hawks fan here! First admit you were wrong for saying hawks will not make playoffs. Second. yes trade trae and keep DJ as full time starting point guard. Better defender and we can build around him and get rid of the weak defense that trae leaves us with
Let's be honest no one really need Trey Young and he is not that guy that will get you over the hump so this is pointless
I can see the hawks questioning trae's effort but asking for an arm and a leg for him in trades...
Can’t argue he has the best floater in the game
Also the worst defense in the game
Trae Young best fit in Heat, Toronto or Lakers
I can't see him being any value on any team. He will never be a winner as he will get targeted on D in the playoffs
As a Hawks fan I would be glad to see Trae go, he’s not a team player, doesn’t put in effort on D nor is he a winner unless he can somehow receive a ton of help through off season trades/signings but that’s defs not happening now. Wish we kept Luka on draft night 😢
Thank u for admitting Luka was real answer.
where can I get that hoodie though? srsly asking
I would add the Bucks. Not convinced Middleton will be able to consistently stay healthy and not as good when he is there. Trae would fit perfect with Jrue in backcourt. And Giannis will be able to keep the team in line.
I don't think Heat is doing that deal. That is too lobsided.
Excellent ad read.
No way raps give up Scottie and two picks for Trae
Two words. Attitude problem
The new coach should ask Trae Young to acknowledge he has defensive responsibilities. Currently, his attitude is, “Not my job.”
Trey young is on pace to beat steph's 3pt record.
You must be looking at stats after smoking crack buddy
Lies
You are the modern day Vanilla Ice
NBA is a team sport and passing the ball to your teammates on the court. You want to confuse the defense to score the bucket. It is difficult to carry a team and feel like you're not tired, but the truth is it is extremely exhausting. Either you figure out to get along with your teammates and coaches or ask them to trade you depending on your contract if it is going to work out with other teams that are willing to trade for you and other assets that go with it.
I have a feeling in the Most overrated Player who voted for Dillion Brooks, and Draymond.
Hint:(They voted each other)
"Oh yeah youre thinking about demanding a trade?,not if we trade you first"wtf🤣
If trae leaves Atlanta is done
Toronto declined to trade Scottie for Durant, they aren't trading him for Trey. They would probably trade Pascal though.
Yay first here ik know no one cares but btw cool vids am I’ve been watching for a while :)
The Hawks really think they're the Brooklyn Nets
