- This CD player has been giving me issues recently, its been working fine but a few days ago, its been giving me trouble. I'm sure the lens is dirty, but it won't even play the CD Lens Cleaner disc. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Remove you cd player from your car, disasamble piece by piece until you reach to the reading lens, clean them using something soft and tiny witch circular moves from the inside of the lens to outside, repeat that move like 3-4 times, if that don;t work, idk...PS: sorry for my english
Appreciate the comment. That sounds like quite some work. I think I'd just be better off making an upgrade and purchasing a new player someday.
On two of our cars (older, 2001 and 2003), the disc is taken inside, then makes 3-4 clicks and then comes out. Occasionally it starts playing, like catching smth inside of the radio CD player, but in most cases, the disc just slips and comes out. What that can be and how to repair this problem? Thank you for the great film.
If it work with purchased cd’s then it’s not the reader being dirty. The cd lense technology may be unable to read burned cd surface.
Has it ever read your burned cd’s? Also brand of CD could be issue. TDK was always best on those older reader lenses.
dbdigital57 It did play both regular CD's and old burned CD'Rs the first few months with no problems.
@@dathrilla07 have you fixed it?? I have the exact same problem and I don’t know what to do 😔
I have Audi s6 , when I put a cd in the changer the song keeps on playing and stopping , like it will play for 2 seconds and it will stop for 2 or 3 seconds then will play again then stop again....
Can someone tell me how to fix that ?
That might be for cleaning DVD's only.
i used to have that exact same memorex disc cleaner
Put alcohol.on the lense cleaner disl
I have a 2001 chevy impala and i have the same problem with my car stereo. Did you find a solution?
Unfortunately, no. I didn't at the time feel like investing in getting it looked at and fixed, or buy a new one. I just ended up using a FM transmitter and hooked it up to my phone. Sorry I couldn't shed any light!
Get a new stereo cutie

Yea thinking bout it...
Best way is to take it out and pull the cover off it. It's actually not so hard...(neighbours dog growls in background like a freeky stalking lion and creeps me out) anyway.usually a 1hour job. One other way is to wrap a piece of soft cloth on a plastic thin ruler and use alcohol or lens cleaning fluid wipe it in and out. Make certain its lint free cloth. Sensor is usually on the bottom right. If you lose the cloth you may at least get a one time automated tissue dispenser.
@@deadonrivl I used a cleaning cloth that is for glasses and put alcohol on it using a kitchen knife. It worked.
I think a lazer cleaner CD is what u may need
