This title is just ridiculous and sensational. I saw the interview before the title and she is not negative about abby or the show. She clearly appreciates her time there but realises she has grown lots more after the show during other experiences. I honestly did not like maddie in dance moms, but now she comes across like a down-to-earth girl, honest and thoughtful of others. She is honest as well, and people do not always like that, but it is a beautiful characteristic according to me. I thought she brought it across very modest and mature, it surprised me.
I think part of their story is how edited and prompted reality shows are and how we never really saw the full story about these dancers. They always painted Maddie and Chloe as enemies, but they were best friends.

Maddie is a great example of a passionate determined dancer, her drive is so powerful and it's so inspiring to know that if you work hard for something that you love you can achieve it
As a perfectionist I can relate when Maddie said "having perfect technique" I don't think she meant that she has perfect technique but she believes that what she does has to be perfect in her eyes
My favorite part of this video is when she says I'm a normal kid who really just wanted it so I worked for it!!like if you agree
I wish the show showed this side of her .She's so well spoken and easy going. She seems more loose ever since she left the show
Maddie is incredibly talented regardless and I'm happy for her and her launch for her book.But honestly,dance moms WAS what made maddie and I'm glad she acknowledged that.

I don't understand why some people give Maddie such grief. She is just a regular girl that was made famous by a dance show. It's not her fault she had talent and the look that Abby believed it her. It's by sheer luck and hard work as well. It did not happen overnight
I was 2 years old when I started dance too and now I'm 11
I was able to meet Maddie, she's beautiful and she was very kind!
I cant wait to get the book because Maddie has always been my favorite dancer on dance moms and I love her soo much I loved how sassy she was as a kid
I still think Maddie should have thanked Abby, regardless of what she went through on dance moms, Abby is the teacher that taught Maddie everything she knows. It's seen during that performance with Sia when her leotard strap popped on stage. Abby always told them the show must go on and that's exactly what Maddie did.

Maddie just like Chloe, Paige , and Brooke , has found herself . Maddie soon realized life does not have to be so stressful. No Abby yelling, threatening, or insulting her . I still do not believe Maddie knows the meaning of a perfectionist . I am glad she has found success, and it did not come with all the stress , bullying, or drama .

Maddie said in an interview that she's not so much of a perfectionist anymore, I think she understands as she's evolved the meaning of one. But I agree with everything else.
She is very eloquent and still 'normal' and level-headed. Well done, Maddie. I am very impressed.
People keep saying if it wasn't for Abby Maddie wouldn't have been a star, but if it wasn't for Melissa Abby wouldn't have a studio to even film Dance Moms in. People have no idea what they are talking about as to why the division between the Zieglers and Abby exsits. On dance moms even Kira said that Abby talk so much crap about them when they left. There's a reason abby still trys to include herself in their life by saying she misses them. If Melissa really cut off contact due to Abby's legal issues then she wouldn't be trying so hard. Think about it.

Abby did have faith in her and if it wasnt for Abby Maddie would not be where she is today. yes she is a great dancer but there are other great dancers some better than her who goes unnoticed. dance moms helped her gain a fandom. No one cant tell me she did that all on her own. Abby and Money did talent did too. Sia even helped gave her a boost because other than people on the dance world and people who watched dance moms had no idea who Maddie was
+Zhane Chanelle what has Abby done? She abused everyone, Maddie got everything with her hard work and talent. She became more successful after leaving the show. And Maddie never said anything bad on Abby, idiot, so stfu!
Ellen Samuelle I agree maddie worked hard to get where she is, but you can never deny Abby helped put her there. Abby praised maddie. When she wasn't putting her at the top of the pyramid or giving her a gorgeous solo, she was constantly yelling to the world how amazing Maddie was despite the severe hate she received from it. Maddie is definitely a star, but Abby definitely helped to get her where she is.

Zhane Chanelle You're right, there is always someone better. I still think Maddie is an amazing young woman with so much talent. I watched Dance Mom's for a couple seasons and than couldn't handle watching the abuse. Abby is just a narcasistic, cruel woman. If she didn't get her way or enough attention she would verbally, and emotionally abuse the girls. She is definately jealous of some of the dancers. Shame on her. There are ways of training, coaching and instructing dancers without breaking them emotionally. Again, shame on Abby.

i don’t see any hate or shade tbh.. the only thing what she said (in my opinion) is that she learned some things from Sia and that she danced different than in Dance Moms. She didn’t said anything about Abby and she just told how she could let loose in that video, Abby knows herself that she doesn’t want dancers that “let loose”. Like Maddie said, she wants people who do the dance perfect and she doesn’t want people who make mistakes. I think she (Maddie) just learned another style of dance, but that isn’t something that i call hate or shade..

I absolutely hate when fans block all the flaws of their celebrity and continuously place them on a pedestal. Look, Maddie does not have perfect technique and she may be rude sometimes. But she's also articulate, can handle herself a lot better than most people, and undeniably hard-working. Maddie is not perfect, and that's what she's trying to say. If you don't like her with her flaws, then you aren't a true fan.

I think Maddie is very grounded and gifted. She had some pretty heavy demands made of her at a very young age. She seems very mature for her age and has a likeable personality, unlike some of her peers. Best wishes to you Maddie. You've turned out to be a great role model for girls your age.

There is so much drama in the comments it is unbelievable leave maddie the girls and abby alone they can figure out their own problems
Also about the maddie being bratty because she doesn't appreciate abby enough thing , it's almost like a school teacher she/ he gives you the best grades , advice and really helps for about a year and so and then you leave her class and then you kind of forget her. I think that is what has happened . If maddie ever goes on dance moms again she will appreciate abby more imao
