We buy pumpkins to carve on Halloween but it's also a part of our tradition. I do always clean the guts off of the seeds and roast them though! For costumes, I think your ideas are great. We keep all our costumes and use them again. I try to think outside the box for costumes so that they may be used again in some way. It's better that way IMO. For kiddos getting thrift is a fantastic way because they are growing out of everything yearly. I've gotten Disney brand princess dresses there for my daughter and those retail very expensive so I also encourage everyone to check out second hand for holiday stuff. So many good things.

Thanks for your comment. 💕 Sometimes we carve pumpkins too bc it is tradition and a fun creative project. I love that you reuse and thrift costumes! Thrifting is a more eco and affordable way to go with children for sure! They grow so fast. Besides the eco aspect of thrifting, I think it’s so much more fun to have to get creative and build your own! Don’t get me wrong - Sometimes we buy new accessories to our costumes, and we also get candy in plastic wrapping sometimes. But if I can find alternative ideas to practice and share with everyone, I will. Happy Halloween!🎃
