In Season 1, Episode 5, "White Rabbit", Jack is awakened by a panicked Charlie. There is a woman (Joanna) out in the ocean screaming for help. Charlie says "I don't swim". Yet, we learn that Charlie learned how to swim when he was a boy.
Right, and Desmond's first vision was Charlie drowning while saving Claire. And Desmond took Charlie's place in that one. So now Desmond's comment about taking Charlie's place doesn't make sense either.
Just because he learned to swim as an amateur as a kid, doesn't mean he'll be good enough to go out into ocean to rescue a drowning woman. Boone was a lifeguard and he couldn't even save Joanna.

I teared up watching this episode! Bracing ourselves for inevitable to happen. Dominic Monaghan did such a fantastic job giving Charlie his redemption arch. 😢

Y'all should watch 2 episodes a week! Especially with finales lol
Did you notice who Charlie saved from getting robbed in the alley? It was Nadia.
They went back and added that to the description.
"Shouting in an enemy station" is definitely not a Charlie’s greatest hits.😂
They really don't pay attention. They get confused about stuff that's already been clearly answered. And then Tom just gets them even more confused.
