Having 3D Acceleration turned off changes the backgrounds to be less detailed and animated. The reason speedrunners have it disabled is because it also makes overkills faster by having them not zoom in and play in slow motion. Weirdly though, some modern hardware also isn't recognised as being capable of running 3D acceleration by older popcap games.

How do you make it such that the kill scenes like whomped and crushed dont get zoomed in on and just float above the enemy quickly
If you turn off "hardware acceleration" in the menu then it won't do that

i got the game on steam before EA took it off, so this is a question for PopCap's artists hahaha
