Whack a mole! That's it why I could not think of that in the field is beyond me. Thanks for the information on finding water near by. Some where grounded in like ovens. This place was definitely a maga grand place for sure. I noticed some area where water was present and a old black walnut that probably was around during that time. Thanks for watching and your information.
You say diablo differently from what I am used to. I think I know this spot. I had no idea those holes were from indigenous people. I had assumed it was erosion or something
So cool! Acorn processing was/is an amazing process and such an important food for pre-contact native people. Check out this book: ruclips.net/video/wSOCMZZTWAY/видео.html reviewed by one of the Bay Area masters of edible wild foods.
Hi Michael and always love the video
Thanks Stan!!
It's a rare treat when the peaks of mount diablo and mount hamilton become snow capped after a winter storm.
Yes, it is, good thing is where lucky every year to have it happen at least once. Thanks for watching the channel.

A very informative video. I am curious how deep in of Mount Diablo you found this place. It makes me want to check it out.
Its a good little hike a few miles. You have to park on Old Finley road about 3/4 miles back before you start really hiking. Thanks for watching.
Keep exploring the Bay Area my guy
