Diego would make a pretty chaotic father but a lovable one. He is kinda a kid himself so this touch in his character arc might give something bigger in season 4. I loved this diego and stan chemistry. Also klaus and Reginald had some good chemistry too. Working on that !

To be fair, genes are funny and screw with people's expectations like that all the time. It is possible for 2 brown people to produce a child who is lighter than them or white passing.
Allegedly
Mexicans, which is what Diego is, are mostly caucasians. They come in all shades thanks to their genes. Lila’s genes on the other hand, would’ve made a white kid hard, but definitely not impossible.
Plus, like, Deigo and his siblings are the result of immaculate conception (more or less). Who knows what HIS genes are like?

I cant be the only one who was heartbroken when found that Stan is not actually their child and Diego was ready to accept him as his son even when he assumed that Lila adopted him

I do love The fact that despite this being a set up, and despite his upbringing Diego actually kills it as a dad. So much so much so it made his girlfriend actually STOP holding a grudge. He is legend!

When he knew the truth and they were back together, he felt the same as first.

Diego is just so ready to be emotionally invested in people all the time, but keeps getting hurt, so he tries to be aloof. He's not educated on how to be a good partner or father, but his heart is in the right place. He doesn't want to be as cold as their 'father'.
I would kill for Stan to come back 😭
Maybe they will meet him again as 42 yo man, as he was born in 1977 and is older than them.
This is a weird theory that I came up with, and that is that Allison changed things in her new timeline where Clare is Ray's daughter, so I came to think that since she knows what happened to Stan and also has a kid, he also put in the deal that Stan was Diego's son, sounds crazy but not illogical.
That little moment of the three of them in the Buffalo Suite is one of my favourite moments this whole season, it's so wholesome and we can see that Lila really does want to have a family with Diego

Even i was confused at that. I was like how is this White mf their kid? I just decided to roll with it. Later when its reveled its not actually his and Lila's kid, its safe to say my confusion was legit.

I hope that Diego, Lila, and Stan get to be an actual family at some point. I'd watch a wholesome "umbrella academy" meets "boy meets world" show. As wholesome as this can get.

Remember when Diego found out Stanley is not their son his first thought was that he was adopted and just accepted it. Why would Lila adopt a child and call Diego the dad? Later when Lila told him she's pregnant he secretly spit out HIS drink at the bachlor party.. Diego is just a dummy.. but adorable 😂

I find it so funny that Diego didn’t think about the fact that he and Lila’s kid did not match their ethnicities at all. Like, you’re Mexican, your girl is Middle Eastern, and you ended up with someone who’s white and Puerto Rican. But he had a lot of love to give so he just didn’t question it
Diego is Puerto Rican. His actor is Mexican-American but the character is Puerto Rican.

Honestly, this was actually a wholesome vibe, them making Stanley not his real kid and then having him Kugelblitzed, which Diego didn't seem to give a shit about after growing attached to him, was a really terrible writing decision
I honestly think Stan was written to be his son and they changed their mind with the script halfway
Tbh there was a lot of issues I found right this season but honestly this who arc and how it ended between Lila/Diego kinda pisses me off. Like it was actually really nice to see the development Diego was having with the introduction of a kid and how upset he was when he first disappeared, only to be blipped and Diego practically moving on right away with no issues for the fact of what Lila did? And the rest of the season things are all swell between them completely forgetting about Stanley their child or not. Really shitty character choices and plot for Diego this season, it felt like they didn’t know what to do with him or Lila so they have half a concept but it doesn’t get them anywhere so they had to drop it half way through for the conclusion they needed.
Yeah I didn't understand the point of it and no one gave a shit the kid was killed? I guess that's why I never felt any attachment to these characters, except Luthor S1 and being honest, he still the only character I can actually stand(Klaus occasionally).
Not sure why writers continue writing characters like pricks and expect the audience to stick around?
@@babytoshiro7014 I can sorta understand the others not caring, even to an extent Lila because she seems like someone who really wouldn’t care about others/how her actions effect others, but after everything we’ve had established about Diego it feels very off character for him to not care and just go back to googly eyes for Lila.
My biggest giving is I felt I understood most characters and their actions based on established info & arcs. I didn’t always like them but I understood their logic for why they did what they did. Season 3 while I can sort of place some understanding to things half of the time their actions don’t feel reflective of what we know of them. Or even worse we really don’t get a reasoning for half of their actions. For what reason? We need certain events to happen? It’s really just disappointing for a show founded on its characters to really fuck up half of what people liked about them this season for choices that don’t seem reflective of who they are.
@@Unhappytimeaper Diego moved on from it because he was worried about the world ending and he learned he's having an actual child of his own with Lila, makes sense, Stanley isn't forgotten either, he's mentioned twice towards the end of the season.
He was sad when stanley died but now he's focused when Lila said she was pregnant

I feel so weird that he is not actually their son , there were so funny together and I really wanted to see if Diego would give the love and careness he didnt get from his "father". I also feel stupid not realising that Stan had nothing Indian or Latino in his looks.
I liked seeing that kid and until episode 6 I had this crazy idea that Stan would kill Reggie and a new "grandfather paradox" would be created

For some random friend’s son, he did well throwing that knife and blocking the venom with the pan in the grocery store fight. At the time I wondered if he would have Diego’s knife throwing abilities, so I do wonder if Diego and Lila’s actual child will have any special powers.
Maybe Stanley is their kid from the future or something but that would’ve caused a paradox. Maybe that’s why he got blipped but idk, just a theory 🤷🏻♀️
