- This was the final session on Saturday of the Ignite Conference.
Some of our guys talked on the way home about this message because some did not agree with statements made between 4:05 - 10:00 ( Especially 6:07 & 9:45). Are we sinless before we commit a sin? Are we born with a sin condition? How does this square up with Romans 5? Does Satan make us sin or do we choose to do it willfully? I'm thankful for messages we struggle with, it forces us to go to God's word to see if these things are so.There are some extra links as well. Look forward to any discussion.

As a Christian being quicken alive in Christ, we are awaken to sin and it's destruction and being born of God we have the nature of our Father who hates sin, not the sinner, Jesus Christ died on a cross to destroy sin and death that those who hath any ear to hear can have life through Him.

That is why Phil is dumb as hell. The NT does not condemn homosexuality. The famous clobber passage I Cor 6:9, the Greek word for homosexuality in Paul's day was paiderasste. Paul does not use that word, he uses arsenokoitia. So we know he was not condemning homosexuality. And Jesus never condemned it either. That is why Phil is a joke and should not be taken seriously.

No, it means men having sex with boys. Paul is condemning child rape. He is not condemning adult consensual homosexual relationships. If Paul was condemning homosexuality, he would have used the Greek word at the time which was paiderasste.

A man who learned how to be a Christian by truly being SAVED. No wonder his message is so true to heart and powerful - he lived in the dark and found the light; he fully understands both sides. This guy gets it, and I'm grateful for it.

Billy Graham and his prim and proper demeanor wouldn't cut it in this day and age. What is needed is someone who isn't too concerned about 'hurten your feelings' but gives you the goods just one more time before the Lord wraps things up with a major 'restructuring' of this system. Phil gets right down to the basics and the reality of it. No more sweet talken, like 'please accept Jesus'?! He ain't sitten there hopen you'll love God - It's His Story- History! There came a time in my life when I consider I grew up. I became aware of the consequences of my actions. Prior to that i acted without real thought as to anything really unaware of my impact on others & how that in turn affects me. When i grew up i accepted the consequences for all my choices knowingly. As a child we knew if we were not suppose to do certain things but we did not fully know the consequences involved

I was reading your overview up top and the way I know it and see it is, we as humans are born into sin as soon as we are conceived. We are descendants of Adam and Eve which kicked this whole sin party off right from the word go. We are all washed into sin from the start because that unfortunately is human nature. We proved that even when given paradise. Humans are just sinful in nature, nomatter how good or how bad we have it, nothing is never truly enough and greed always comes into play. Adam and Eve were given paradise, with one stipulation. Don't eat from the tree of knowledge. We blew it straight from the start. Now, because of that we must all feel the sting of death for being of sin. The reward however, is paradise and eternity with no pain, heartache, or sorrow. That in itself is well worth paying the price with my life, in order to be with God in Heaven.🙌🙌🙌

Isaiah wrote of the messiah to come " he will eat butter & honey until he is able to know the difference between good & evil. Then, does satan make us sin, or do we choose it willingly? Lucifer entices you to choose it. Left to yourself you would not choose it. The devil knows a decision leads to action. Make the decision not to, god honors that. So lucifer cannot force you your decision making is important.
Psalms 51:5 says we are born sinners. When we have understanding we willfully sin. I am CHIEF of sinners.

Being born with a sinful nature doesn't put us into condemnation at birth, I don't think. It's when you're old enough to make an educated choice to let that sinful nature run one's life, is when condemnation comes. The Life is all about choices.

I have to question the part about a baby's and sin. You were born to a mother and father of this earth. You are born with sin. Adam and Eve passed this down to us. I do not think the lord would judge a baby or little kid the way he judges us.

This denial of original sin doesn’t make sense to me in light of Romans 5. If the wages of sin is death, and babies are free of sin because they don’t know the law, why do infants die? Also, the law was given to the Jews and not the Gentiles. So were the Gentiles sinless because they did not have God’s law? Also, what about Psalm 51:5 “Behold I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.”
I don't have a definitive answer, but I do know Romans speaks to this topic in many instances. In particular, 2:14.
