    Few disclaimers/driver excuses:
    1) this was the first street car I drove after this weekend's 12h race. It took longer to adjust to lower grip levels opposite of full slicks. In addition, not gonna deny I was still uncomfortable after all the crashes/misfortunes (full video coming in a few days).
    2) On top of point 1, as you can see, it was very tricky weather, black clouds, slight drizzle. Later that day the track got shut and ambulance went on because the drizzle became enough to make the track wet.
    3) As explained in the video, first time filming with GoPro 12, settings were still a bit off.
    4) Sick car. Love it. Would love to go again without all the excuses from above.

Would love to get your opinion of an Emira with the "Sports Chassis" setup, hopefully it would address some of your concerns, but then you might find things like brakes etc are the weak link as you'd feel more confident carrying more speed. The Touring setup looks perfect for British B-roads, where the road surface is not good for stiff suspension (if you value your spine).

The difference between sport and touring is pretty big too. Different springs, dampers, ARBs, bushing and geometry - it drives very differently.
95% of these cars will spend 100% of their time on the road so touring makes the most sense, especially in the uk. The softer set up and less grippy tyres give it a bit of movement and fun at road speeds.

Great video as usual but if i may put my 2cents in, new camera was a bit dark and i personally would rather see the front cam bigger and the speedo/rev window smaller. Easy to criticise i know, saying this with all due respect for your work man. Take care.

Mooie auto, Harry's Garage heeft er een reis reportage over gemaakt van zijn Emira V6.
Hopelijk kun je die van Shmee een keer rijden, die heeft het track pack en vult dan de tekort komingen op die je gemerkt hebt.

what an awesome car. Even better with a catless exhaust and some more track oriented wheels. Those wheels look a little too cheesy to me. Overall maybe my favorite new car behind the new z06

    Hey Misha; you should’ve had a time board showing your times on each car you drove on the ring; to be available online for whoever wants to know what would his car do against others on this track;

Another great lap Misha! I used to be a big Lotus fan, but the new direction has lost me specifically with the added weight.

Agree. I own an Elise and was truly hoping for a car about 500 lbs lighterand 50 ft lbs more torque. That, would have been a great final ICE car and given the top cars a run for their money and would been among the best out there at any price point. Oh well, just have to keep my Elise forever.
Now my dream is Caterham might some day buy the rights to the Elise/Exige as they did for the Lotus 7 and then one could built a kit from them and add a hot 500 plus HP 4 cylinder of their choice. Low weight, more power.

@@vvevvevvvv Oh, I totally understand why they did it, I was just very disappointed as a Lotus owner. Before the reveal, they had made some comments indicating the new car as their last ICE might return to lighter weight and be one of the top performers. Basically, an updated Elise perhaps modified for ease of entry like Murray's proposed T.43. We went from that, to the Emira. Great 911 alternative for a dailt driver, but not for many of us.
In the end, it is slower than some Evoras and definitely heavier and nothing like we had hoped based on some of the company comments. That being said, it is bringing many new customers to the brand and better for the company survival so it is a positive. But I went from being anxious to get my name on the pre-order list to writing Lotus off. Maybe someday as I don't like the alternaives, but if they really go all electric then I won't be buyung any new ones. Looks like plenty of customers will so it should be a net positive for them and the future financial security of the company.

Can I ask why there’s often the necessity to place the speedometer so huge in the video edit? Which unluckily ends up limiting the most precious shot in my opinion aka the track one

Hi! Great video Misha! Maybe you could try to set you GoPro on "low" sharpness setting. It makes a more natural cinematic image, and the video suffer less of the RUclips re-encoding (which lower the bitrate drastically). It would also match more the image of the camera you use for intro/presentations. Give it a try one day :)

The touring setup is too compliant for the track. Personally i'd go with KW V5 clubsport suspension, Bridgestone Potenza Race tyres, some nice Pagid brake pads, Hel braided brake lines and dot 4 brake fluid as i'd plan to track my car.
