  • Presented by Fernelize Henry, The Garifuna people are a transnational group made up of African and Carib heritage from the island of St Vincent, in the Caribbean. Even though they were expelled from St Vincent at the end of the 18th century, their language , customs and beliefs are still continued today. We will be examining the history of this unique group of people and the challenges they face in preserving their culture.
