The last train operator actually crossed over the third rail I think once, did so carefully! What a risky move but please be careful train operators! Appreciate the service!

@Maxmellow94 They probably do and probably even more since they do run them overnight. Just think about it though, that's about 9 trains per hour (assuming no express service) between 5 and 8 am. These built-in rush hours trains are really beneficial. I wish there were more, but I guess we have to find storage space to balance morning and evening rush.
Interesting, any reason why they were moved to the six line. I take the 6 train at least 4 times a week, and I'm watching this video thinking that I hope these trains are not out of service yet, that I'm going to miss them. Meanwhile I even took it today and didn't even noticed, because the focus is for the commute to move along as fast as possible. But yeah, I found it interesting that they were moved to the six line because I remember in the year 2000 the newer trains that we have (R142A), I only saw them on the six line, and I often think about the fact that they had a strange noise that I don't quite remember, but that happened when it accelerated, or braked. One of the two. Just find it ironic that they were the original line with these trains, I associated it that line with that train, and now those newer trains are everywhere but not on the six line.
inlovewithi They were taken out of the 7 line because the R188s were coming in to provide cars compatible with the new CBTC system on the 7 line. The R62As went back to its rightful place onto the 6 line to increase service there.
Is it just the Train Operators that take a set of an R-62A or a Kawasaki R-188 by themselves out of Corona Yard or ANY railyard or along with a train conductor? I know some that just report to their master control tower at their home terminal and start their tour of duty from there and some who pre-trip their train at the yard and take it out with only the T/O?
On this particular train the head and tail lights are connected to the master controller and the air brakes on the train. The train operator is testing the air brakes on the train while they are doing a pre trip inspection in the yard.
I find something strangely calming about a subway yard just before sunrise.
Same here.
So RUclips apparently thinks that this video is about the coronavirus...good job RUclips.
Ateltoni this video is from 2010 they think this because corona yard is named corona
Fucking dumbasses
Sonic fan6556 well that’s the thing. A video from 2010 shouldn’t get that at all just because it has the word „Corona“ in it.
Ateltoni yea RUclips and googles bots are useless
Sonic fan6556 yeah i 100% agree on that statement.
Ateltoni yep
1:37 you can see a train being switched from local to express
Where? The middle tracks, left tracks, or the right tracks?
@@Boypogikami132 Right tracks, when the green circles on the side rollcards switch to red diamonds, indicating it's an express train.
please do the time lapse at concourse yard and coney island yard
Also please do one at Sunnyside Yards
Awesome time lapse of the Subways to be leaving the Corona Yard for their weekday service. : )

Terrific! Great perspective and an aspect that many of us will never see in person, really enjoyed this!
spectacular! and the background music was the perfect accompaniment
1:35 or so, see the signs change from local to express on the far right train.
This is the most nostalgic video I ever watched
RUclips: *puts COVID 19 sticker on this video*
RUclips viewers: RUclips is drunk again
I love the flushing line
Olga Montano the 7 line sucks the 4 is better
+Jashua Rojas Its his opinion. The 7 line is fast and better the 4 line is slow and gets delayed easily
Jashua Rojas I do agree that some upgrades can’t be made on the seven train but it is definitely better than the four
youtube means that when they see corona in title, they will show this lol
mtainfo Do it with the R188s!
BOSS
Yessssssssss
That time de r188 didn't came that time

Fun fact: The 7 line borrowed the 6 line's R62A's to replace the redbirds.
7 used to have R62As.
Great Video! Very creative!

Nice! But of course, I miss the classic Redbirds.
They should do a time lapse for my yard:

PLEASE DO THIS WITH THE 188'S
Whats The Song Name Cuz I'ma Find It
All the R62As on the 7 line were moved to the 6 line.
Right now We have R188s on the 7 line

Lol
What’s the song called at the beginning for 36 seconds
800th like btw
back when the 7 was all r62as :(
Look at all those R62s. Nostalgia.
Aw man. Was hoping to see some Redbirds working the refuse train.
Wait, so this means that the trains is always on?
@c2a4r8l2 Did you see the one they have of the LIRR Long Beach Branch time lapse?
@herenthere LOL I see 'em plenty on late nights. Not that big a railfan anymore to scout them out, but I'm buggin' when I do see them XD
I don't know anything about NYC MTA and I got a question. Why do the drivers turn the lights on then turn it back to red?
probably to test the lights
On this particular train the head and tail lights are connected to the master controller and the air brakes on the train. The train operator is testing the air brakes on the train while they are doing a pre trip inspection in the yard.
BDavinci06 Oh. Thanks for explaining it
@@Samuel-lq3gh No problem!!

What is name of song in this video
Probably and most likely during the rush-hours. I highly doubt they run that many trains during the off-peak times.
Back when all were R62As... wow
It says 27 of these (7) trains leave the yard? I counted 14 of them.
it said a few of them.
Miss Jennifer Banks Maybe the other trains on the left leave to go to service?
@r142abve Yeah. At first I thought it was train maintenance, until I looked directly.
I love subway train and they all are m-62s

How many seconds between pics?
