If they keep 'marketing' Christ and Christianity, his fears will DEFINITELY come to pass; however, if they start 'preaching' Christ and Christianity, it will be more sustainable and for this, you DO NOT need massive arenas. You should also understand that they are not building those arenas for show. The ministry does nothing except as commanded by God. Most people make erroneous comments about things they know nothing about. When you aren't sure of something, ask the right questions. That's the way to get wisdom.

They couldn't have built any structures then cus they are only the Roman empire. Does that fact that they didn't build arenas then for worship means they can't build now. Jesus himself says in John 14:12 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." Where do you expect people to gather and worship, on the mountains right or in the wilderness or look for a fisherman's boat to preach? I remember the last Wednesday services before on the ground breaking of goshen city, Bishop Abioye while in his preaching made mention that he has never had it in mind to take over from Bishop oyedepo and he said works for word even if the mandate said 60 is it 3-5 years that would require him to lead LFC. He said he is called to serve and that’s what he’d do I don’t think his leaving surprised me at all. The bishop meant what he said and fulfilled his part that calling.
When you build an Empire you also endeavour to build a Successor and pave way for the Successor to ascend the throne. Let Wisdom be the principal thing while Love and Peace Reign Supreme.
Maybe building "empire" is not the right word to use. But every church builds based on necessity. How you know God has instructed it and has interest in it is cus they are building stress free. Churches don't run based on your logic or sentiments, but as God has instructed. Hate it or not, the church of God is marching on.

I think now we saying the same thing. Building an empire isn't the right word to use. And Bishop Oyedepo hasn't ever mentioned he is building an empire. There is nothing wrong in building large structures for people to worship. The population of people worshiping in Canaanland makes it absolutely necessary. Despite that, the commission waited till God instructed us to go ahead. Gone are those days that it takes several years for churches to build even small auditoriums. We should be happy seeing God's church advancing. I personally feel so glad all this is happening in my life time.
And to think this is his personal ambition is wrong. How are you sure it is his personal ambition. Are the one who called him. Most of you guys just comment on things you don't know about. At the onset of the project, God told him never to mention the issue of the building to him until He (God) says otherwise. Then the project was to be called Faith Theatre. He came out publicly to announce God asked him to pause on the project. When the time was right, God asked him to Go ahead. And the tower of babel you mention was destroyed by God himself and the builders scattered cus He doesn't have a hand in it. If the building was not the will of God for the commission it will definitely not stand. It should be obvious but we refuse to think. First ask yourself where your pastor falls. Is he a Levite? Is he a prophet or judge like Gideon or Elijah who weren't Levites or priests? Is he a king like David? Is he an apostle like Paul ? Or like John the Baptist? Or maybe Jesus himself? And then ask yourself who you are. Lastly, what exactly is the meaning of the word "church"?
14:21 "you are not coming to church because of the church", "you give to the church to be blessed" it's sounding like we aren't part of the church again. Is church a family or an institution like school, bank or supermarket? This is the root of our current problem.
To think the name "The Faith Tabernacle" was the name of the first Pentecostal movement in Nigeria but it's now the name of Bishop's church is amusing.
I served there for years and i saw the error and i knew this challenge will come. Structure was first used in 2002 august. Abioye was made president of Lfc but some groups protested and in two months, the structure was reversed. Control not order

Bishop Abioye is Bishop Oyedepo's biggest protege and fan. All those noise on the internet is simply because the internet and social media world thrives on SOMUCH negative energy 90% of the time, that's why many can't wrap their mind around the deep understanding relationship that exists between this two great men, to them this kind of relationship is practically impossible. Hello world, negative energy baggage is A REALITY. Unfortunately many humans are carrying it and they don't even know it...🤦♂️🤷♂️
How can Abioye kick against the mandate when under review? You don't seem to know how this one man founder pastors operates. Their assistants can only say yes to any proposals, they don't have a say. They are like a rubber stamp. He so got him under sleeve that he lowered hom from being addressed as his vice years back in kaduna, where it was alleged that he stated that there is no controversy as to who takes over if anything happens to him, referring the next to be Abioye. I guessed the children were still growing then but are now full adult. By the time the children became full adult, he started addressing him as " my son". Can a son query his father? Years back, he asked him to leave and start his but he objected, pastor Adeboye stepped in and that was aborted. The one l worry about is the likes of Enenche,Fatoyinbo and others that got access to him through Abioye, none of them is openly associating with Abioye now that he has retired, save for Sam Oye and other upcoming ministers. Christianity is love.
Most of these people are the real definition of friends with benefits. You are relevant when you are at the top but irrelevant when you are not there again ( power)
@Beingrealgeorge you need to watch Oyepedos sermon and Abioyes speech at Abioye's valedictory service. Both men were speaking in parables only a wise can understand. There is a rift between those two which has got nothing to do with the mandate.
The only statement that really made my viewing and listening to you worth it was “why are we building edifice we call church when God himself have left man made edifice to dwell inside of us and even calling us His Temples, because building will not go in rapture, building will not inherit the kingdom of God, The Lord Jesus Christ didn’t die on the cross for building, but for human beings, though I analyzed it beyond what Bishop Abioye said, honestly I have never thought about all these edifice called church in that manner, kudos to Bishop David Abioye.
The Bishop's comments are good. I remember a quote: 'order is the first law in heaven' . It is important to have good structure in the ministries. I also believe all side comments here should not be directed to Bishop Abioye as if he knew he was going to be retired aa a direct fallout of the application of the Mandate, at least not so soon. He is still 'young' at 63, and im not aware of any issues he has with the leadership.
This is because our Lord, Master and Savior Jesus, Whom we follow, while He was on the earth, He gathered crowd. (Mathew 13:2, Mark 4:1, Luke 12:1) And the Bible says: looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Again, Jesus Himself said that whosoever believes in Him will do greater works (John 14:12), That means He (Jesus) expects us to gather more crowd that He ever did. Furthermore, the early apostles also gathered crowd sir. Their first move after the Pentecost, 3000 were gathered (Acts 2) Therefore, it is scripturally correct and Christlike for a man of God to gather crowd.

Through God's enablement, Oyedepo has succeeded in that it pays to serve God and follow his leading.And again that great things are achievable without looking unto any man but only God.
What did Christ do with the crowd after gathering them? How did he gather them? For what purpose did he gather them? If you can answer these questions, it may as well help you to understand the difference between the purpose of God and of man.
If he had been raising accurate believers and not pump them with nonsense, he would not be afraid. He has raised Christians who do not love Jesus but Christians that want to use him. Jesus is not a Scam but people who sell him might scam you.

Those who have been a part of the inner circle of any charismatic church will know that papas are deities which no body questions. They call for meetings but already have decisions and whoever questions their decision is considered a black sheep. whether you agree with them or not, you just have to accept else you are looked upon as a rebel. i dont think Abioye had any choice, but i bet you, he surely wasnt in line with the decision.
If they don't consolidate and sharpen one another like this, their callings won't endure. Do you think church is an any how environment. The church is an entity that is defined by organized structures from the early times till date. You can call them business centers all you want.
Throughout his speech, no other person spoke, he didn't ask if anyone have questions to ask, if he has done that, i am sure someone would have asked questions that will scattered that conference there was no conversation, he spoke as an emperors raising a decrees, and no one there dare to challenge him,they were all tied down or glued to their chairs ,anyway that red book will soon be reversed, when his son get into power.

At the onset I actually thought there's no personal interest but only now it looks like there's personal interest since it's man that wrote the edited mandate and same God knows the heart of every man.

If the church stayed the way the Acts church was organized, we wouldn't have denominations and succession issues, because no one will OWN a congregation, rather leaders are chosen based on biblical criteria and a group of elders running a local meeting house, congregations will be small and initimate and leaders can move from one congregation to another based on assignment or work relocation so there is always continuity. The order is set already, the problem is people aren't following it. All these twisting and turning and perauasive speeches is because they have deviated so far from the original, now their creation is causing them sorrow that needs be dealt with.
This coming from a believer. Why this so much hate. Well to your disappointment, no church of Christ will crash. You are only frustrated because the church keeps prospering against your evil wish. I am sorry to say that Jesus never taught us what we are busy doing in this our Christian race. Some pastor can be preaching his fellow preacher on the pulpit while the same preacher is sitting in there. It is what I have experienced before. You dare say nothing. I can only observe that he is preaching or talking indirectly to Bishop Abioye. God have mercy on us.
The way he was facing Bishop Abioye speaks volumes-it felt like a direct confrontation. If God were to reveal the true thoughts and intentions of those in that conference, one might be shocked to see the kind of people present in the church.
What is the church? isn´t it the congregation of saints? isn´t it the assembly of god fearing people in the spirit?? those in whom the holly spirit professes the the name of Jesus day and night?? The church shall never be a House nor a SYSTEM!!! I see him praise the catholics and protestants as the longest system living but wasn´t there a reason for so many denominations to break off from these ´longest living systems´? Where is the place of the Holly spirit in this? Where is the place of God to lead our actions and be the beginning and end of our Faith? Jesus said destroy the temple and i will build it back in three days!!! If the sheep belong to the master, then the sheperd too belongs to him. This being said, i am not against writing down laws and codes to stabilize and govern an organisation. Even the Bible stretches on the importance of order in the church, but writing down laws in the hopes of a church system to last for decades is futile as long as God is not it´s center!!! the experiment has been already been done and the results are out

I think now we saying the same thing. Building an empire isn't the right word to use. And Bishop Oyedepo hasn't ever mentioned he is building an empire. There is nothing wrong in building large structures for people to worship. The population of people worshiping in Canaanland makes it absolutely necessary. Despite that, the commission waited till God instructed us to go ahead. Gone are those days that it takes several years for churches to build even small auditoriums. We should be happy seeing God's church advancing. I personally feel so glad all this is happening in my life time.
And to think this is his personal ambition is wrong. How are you sure it is his personal ambition. Are the one who called him. Most of you guys just comment on things you don't know about. At the onset of the project, God told him never to mention the issue of the building to him until He (God) says otherwise. Then the project was to be called Faith Theatre. He came out publicly to announce God asked him to pause on the project. When the time was right, God asked him to Go ahead. And the tower of babel you mention was destroyed by God himself and the builders scattered cus He doesn't have a hand in it. If the building was not the will of God for the commission it will definitely not stand. It should be obvious but we refuse to think. First ask yourself where your pastor falls. Is he a Levite? Is he a prophet or judge like Gideon or Elijah who weren't Levites or priests? I served there for years and i saw the error and i knew this challenge will come. Structure was first used in 2002 august. Abioye was made president of Lfc but some groups protested and in two months, the structure was reversed. Control not order

How can Abioye kick against the mandate when under review? You don't seem to know how this one man founder pastors operates. Their assistants can only say yes to any proposals, they don't have a say. They are like a rubber stamp. He so got him under sleeve that he lowered hom from being addressed as his vice years back in kaduna, where it was alleged that he stated that there is no controversy as to who takes over if anything happens to him, referring the next to be Abioye. I guessed the children were still growing then but are now full adult. By the time the children became full adult, he started addressing him as " my son". Can a son query his father? Years back, he asked him to leave and start his but he objected, pastor Adeboye stepped in and that was aborted.
The one l worry about is the likes of Enenche,Fatoyinbo and others that got access to him through Abioye, none of them is openly associating with Abioye now that he has retired, save for Sam Oye and other upcoming ministers. Christianity is love.
Most of these people are the real definition of friends with benefits. You are relevant when you are at the top but irrelevant when you are not there again ( power)

The Bishop's comments are good. I remember a quote: 'order is the first law in heaven' . It is important to have good structure in the ministries. I also believe all side comments here should not be directed to Bishop Abioye as if he knew he was going to be retired aa a direct fallout of the application of the Mandate, at least not so soon. He is still 'young' at 63, and im not aware of any issues he has with the leadership.

What did Christ do with the crowd after gathering them? How did he gather them? For what purpose did he gather them? If you can answer these questions, it may as well help you to understand the difference between the purpose of God and of man.

If the church stayed the way the Acts church was organized, we wouldn't have denominations and succession issues, because no one will OWN a congregation, rather leaders are chosen based on biblical criteria and a group of elders running a local meeting house, congregations will be small and initimate and leaders can move from one congregation to another based on assignment or work relocation so there is always continuity.
The order is set already, the problem is people aren't following it.
All these twisting and turning and perauasive speeches is because they have deviated so far from the original, now their creation is causing them sorrow that needs be dealt with.
