    Stuff we use:
    LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
    AUDIO
    Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/2t1n2hx
    Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/2tbFlM9
    LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv
    COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 - amzn.to/2t1M67Z
    EDITING - We upgraded our editing suite this year and we’re glad we did! This has improved our workflow and the quality of our work. Having new software also helps when we have a problem, it’s easy to search and find a solution - goo.gl/56LnpM

    This 36 dramatic situations will certainly assist in setting up a theme of a film creation and the list looks very exhaustive, more inclusive and stimulating.
    Thanks Film courage for bringing out an interview with such an expert in this field. His delineation of each situation linking with robot is very impressive and useful in expanding film creation focus

    I’m glad people are seeing the practical benefits of the 36 Dramatic Situations. It can trigger cascades of ideas and is great for brainstorming. It’s also fascinating to see which situations exist in your story idea before you even start playing with it.

      You have to make sure that your character is allowed to make choices, wether good or bad and those decisions have to have consequences, wether good or bad.

      This is the kind of content I’m here for. While the “Here’s what they did wrong” videos are of interest, they are more opinion oriented - videos like this give us real substance to work with.

      I love the way that he actually gave each idea serious thought. With his reputation and experience, he could probably dismiss an idea as not useful for the example story, and get away with it, but he kind of forced himself to do it. That's cool.

    Do I understand correctly that these themes come from a book written during the Romantic period? It's interesting to build a sci-fi story from that place. The story that emerges allows us to see deeply human conflicts or dynamics "naturally emerging" from our machines. Much room for imagining.

    • @script.kitchen8543
      @script.kitchen8543 Год назад +2

      Yes, the book was written in the late 1800s, but the 36 Dramatic Situations was created in the 1700s. It has stood the test of time and is extremely useful and versatile for brainstorming and for exploring stories.

    All these people with these formulas. All you have to do is go back to Dov S. S Simens. All you need to write a great script as 5 "oh no's" 5 "oh shit's" and 2 OMGs
    Anything more than that is pretentious
