Man, that is terrible, had ESRED as well for 59 months before my transplant; is very unfortunate to hear about the paperwork missing, all those hours gone to waste since it probably won't transfer ... to give you perspective I was on it for 59 months, which is equivalent to almost 4.5 months if you were at a dialysis site every single minute of the day ... though if she has potential living donors, it shouldn't take more than one to four weeks unless the donors do not qualify, if it is her blood daughter and granddaughter, should have about half chance being compatible, but they have to meet other health requirements also similar to the recipient, which is baffling why it would've taken Memorial Herman so long I imagine that they intentionally kept her on dialysis because that generates much more money than doing the transplant - Medicare/Medicaid was paying out about 700,000 to 800,000 a year for my dialysis, now after my transplant, the total cost I have no idea how much it is but I imagine 40,000 maybe no more than 60,000 a year since I take very well care of myself, the longer you're on dialysis the survival rate decreases
Can I get tested to see if I am a match? I mean I have two and I can give one to her if I match. ❤ I am white if that's okay with her? No one would should have to die in a list meant to help them live!
