Nobody on my team has starlink to have been able to give specific, but if it works anything like a standard DOCSIS Cable Modem then ultimately should be same setup. Router is only capable of delivering speeds that the Starlink can deliver, so if your last modem and current Flint 2 are delivering same speeds mostly likely the cap is starlink. The real way to test is to have 2 devices on the wi-fi and do file sharing between the 2 devices on the local Wi-Fi without going through Internet, that is how we test router speeds, 2 PC doing file transfer between them on the Router without using the ISP to do local router only testing.
I dont know if i would call this a "high end router". There are some shortfalls in the quality of manufacturing. Its definitely a highly capable router despite many bugs you come across as you get into some detailed settings
@@idontdogmail1669 it is cheaply made, ive tested this routers Radio Signal Strenth Indicator (RSSI) value, basically how powerful it transmits, and its well below that of asus or netgear routers. Infact its 5g capability is embarassing. I love the gui and the options it has for running vpn or port forwarding, but as even a soho router it falls way short, maybe not short for the price point but for the company's claims against its competitors
I live in the middle of nowhere and I have starlink I bought the router to get better service rather than buying an oem Starlink mesh. I think I might be doing something wrong because it isn’t much better than my current router.
Pick up the GL.iNet Flint 2 Wi-Fi 6 Router on Amazon amzn.to/3SEpZP4 #affiliatelink
i recommending using a tool like OBS to screen record so people can see what you're clicking on more clearly
GL.iNet has surprisingly good products for the price.
lol sync the shutter to the led refresh or turn the led off. ;)
I have the router connected to the Flint 2 as the main router and the starlink router just powers everything up.

Can you be more specific? Provide a source demonstrating the shortfalls and bugs?
