On the lead part during the chorus on the B chord, it is played as a #9 which includes the seventh A on the B string, D# F# B, D# A D, D# F# C#, D# F# B.
One ( possibly both ACOUSTIC guitars) were in open E tuning for record. One guitar was a 'High strung' guitar ( like just the skinny strings from a 12 string). Both were acoustic guitars run thru a cassette player for distortion. Still, sounds good otherwise:)
That song is a totally enigmatic….i saw it in open G open E, 5 strings …Keith playing it with different chords too in different shows. Even now, it is almost like the original …but not 100% . Congrats great video anyway.
I certainly don't know the right answer, as you say. If I try to play it as the original, OPEN G will not produce the E sound in the intro section, maybe open E is the right answer. However, it seems to be difficult to play in the riff section. Brian's part is probably in regular tuning, but Keith's part is a mystery...

What effect did you use to make it sound like the original? ampli ? Pedal?
I am using a VOX amPlug2 classicrock headphone amplifier.
I tried to make the sound as messy as possible with about 60-70 percent gain.
On a normal guitar amp it can work?
