It got better later when they improve their technology on the inside. Like 3 heads and two motor drive. They even at one point had glass audio heads. When they added Dolby C and S. I like that selection of music. Billy Idel. Eyes without a Face. Brings back memories.
@@Jacobtootoo Yes it did get better! Unfortunately for most, they never got to experience the full potential of the cassette. It sounds surprisingly good when recorded on an up-to-snuff machine.

@@Jacobtootoo What I mean is most people regarded it as poor format, but didn't have the cassette decks that you are talking about to hear how good they sound. I do understand that cassettes got better and I like their sound. Yes I am a younger fellow too like you say, so I was never around when the format had peaked.
