You know what couldve saved Destiny from completely failing? If shinn actually grew as a character and turned against durandal instead of being his puppy until the end. But the writers pussied out and made jesus and athrun the MCs again
True, but let's be fair and considerate here. First from war is a game POV. From Durandal side, what cards he got? If our powerful Shinn goes against him, what will he do? This series will end faster, since now Rey is going 1 against 3, (Lunamaria is good but not at the same level of those three, so she is out, there's also the chance that she will follow Shinn). From story POV, Shinn is already in the high negative in the first place, then goes to low negative and has more likeability than before, to change his position into the positive only needs some character development... But... Again from War is a game POV, what character would replace him? You can't have Kira or Athrun goes hard Negative suddenly, and spawning some unknown super soldier without any context is out of the question... Should have not killed that masked strong dude, Durandal side has less powerful pilots in the first place, and Durandal himself doesn't looks like one. So unless he goes Takumi from Initial D, and doing some crazy Kansei Dorifuto in space, controlling his mother ship, shooting down everyone, and somehow defeat Kira and Athrun, their team plus Shinn (and maybe Lunamaria), Shinn can't change his side that easily. So they just went" let's just drop this Shinn even further to the negative, and pity him as a MC, in the ending"
Tbf though, every time Shinn seemed to be having doubts Rey and Durandal were there to whisper in his ear, pulling him back to their side. There were literally zero positive influences anywhere near Shinn because Luna herself was depressed with what happened to Meyrin and Athrun. In the end, only putting him in his place at the finale was the only possible solution since words weren't going through to him.
I kinda like Shinn staying and getting that harsh wake up call from Athrun. I think instead SEED Destiny could've been saved if the main POV never left the Minerva side. With that alone it could've shaped Shinn and even Luna much better instead of just being seen in combat and watching the news. More focus would show more insight from Shinn and Luna, Shinn being more than just an angry teenager, Lunamaria actually being credible a voice of reason, and maybe even a smoother transition to Shinn snapping when Luna does try to stop him. Yeah Shinn needed to show growth, and I think he could've had some if it weren't for him and Luna's development happening offscreen.
Infinite Justice, with Darth Maul-like weapon. Athrun, Kira really doing their best not to kill anyone.. While almost everybody is out for blood, very difficult to pull that off. Gil is just angry with what fate/destiny did to him lol, now he's taking it out on everybody. 1 more ep!
Bahkan teringat meme tokusatsu dari serial Kamen Rider Zero One episode 32 Yua tembuk mukanya si Amatsu Gai😂😂😂😂. Tambahannya,Shinn setelah udah episode 34 ke atas selalu gagal maning🤣🤣🤣
Most definitely. Considering that Shinn’s mental state had deteriorated far enough, I don’t think his reaction skills were up to par to have reacted to Athrun’s moves.
In Shinn's defense, he had the Palma Fiocina activated to counter the beam sabers, but we all know it takes time for PF to fire, so it's just an L for Destiny. Yeah, Shinn might've activated PF in panic. And that leg counter is just dumb.
They ruin the power balance by the end of this series, unlike SEEDS where the endgame Gundams are fairly balanced and not too one-sided on each party. Here, Akatsuki is near unstoppable in both offense and defense, Strike Freedom is stupidly OP with the DRAGOON armament and Kira knows its strengths & weaknesses after the encounter with Rau, and Infinite Justice is unfairly broken in melee combat and the new Fatum backpack can even wreck Minerva mothership by itself
@@lenatama indeed. ZAFT destroyed EA hard but somehow became a weakling by the end of series. Destiny and Legend are on par with Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice but they both looked like a Zaku in final battle.
@@huskarang3351 it's not senseless. Experience outcompetes training. Both Kira and Athrun had gained a tremendous amount of battle experience from SEED where they had to fight against pilots who were arguably better than them. Shinn and Rey, although were highly trained and obviously very skilled in their own respects, lacked the experience which would've refined their techniques and instincts.
as for why Atrhun was stronger than Kira because since the beginning of Seed, he already an trained soldier, he was trained with firearms, battle tactics, and of course Mobile Suits, while at the beginning of Seed, Kira was just a college student, and on the halfway of the series he rode Strike purely to protect his friends that aboard Archangels, i admit that Kira computing ability far exceed Athrun, but if we talking about who's better at operating MS, Atrhun is better, also on the entire series, Kira ride Freedom because he need to, in order to protect, but for Atrhun, he has to, in order not to repeat his mistakes, that's why he need MS, tho he become confused with the idea of Durandal lel also Infinite Justice is designed for Close Combat, you can tell by those beam sabers on the body of Justice, while Strike Freedom is for Ranged Combat, by utilizing those flying beams xD anyway this is just my opinion :3
Mistake Shin made when fighting Athern: Number One: Charging in with just the Beam cannon in the hand only to get block and instead of backing off he gone for the counter attack Number Two: Using the said beam cannons to stop the Infinite Justice's two Beam saber strike, but instead of backing off he decide to grab them Number Three: Instead of backing off he decide to try and kick the Infinite Justice knowing full well it has beam saber attach to the legs If Shin didn't make mistake number two he would have being able to fight to a draw with the Infinite Justice as with both and still intact Shin would have being able to use the Destiny's beam cannon, beam boomerang, and the anti-ship sword to fight the Infinite Justice. Using the beam cannon in the hand would be suicide for Shin as they're meant for close range which is the Infinite Justice's specialty.
It's not even that, the destiny could have won in that moment. The destiny have two beam shield on it's hand so if he angle it correctly he could have parry it and then blast athrun point blank with the palm beam
@@acidgolem2132 I don't know if he would have the perfect timing for this. IJ parried the force palm and turned the Destiny away, so Shinn had to turn around, and by the time IJ's sabers were almost hitting.
I love how while Athrun, Shinn, and Lunamaria are in that little battle that while there is VIOLENCE and DEPRESSION and TRAUMA z they are also just having a full blown argument during the entire thing with statements like: “YOU DARN FOOL!” Or “HOWEVER!” Or “Shinn stop! You too Athrun!”
I've never quite understood why ppl were so hung up on Shin being the main Chr. or hated how Kira and Athrun sidelined him. Shinn was "Never" supposed to have supplant the original two, instead he was meant to stand at their side representing a different aspect of the overall war agenda. Kira: kind hearted being "Forced" to fight for one side then later stood against both opps at the end to end fighting. Athrun: A good solder following orders but pressured by the evils and hatred of his father faced with either following orders or standing up for what's right. Shinn: And Shin represents tradegy and trauma and is fueled by these extreme aspects that he often behaves impulsively and is easily manipulated by them that he fights for something that in his heart of hearts doesn't coincide with him.
My biggest problem with it is that the series itself is a bit confused about who exactly the main character is, it promotes shin as the main character but the focus is given more to Athurn and the half way through kira took over as the main focus, it gets all over the place in that way and looses the view point we are supposed to follow. In comparison to a similar situation in zeta gundam, Kamile is no doubt the character we are following while char and Armuro are given big supporting roles but never took away his role in the story which resulted in a far more sharper visualization of the conflict of the series. Although Athurn imo made so much sense to be the main character as a lot of the conflict is his the most throughout.
@@FOXZILLA5734There's no such thing as confuse.. Seed universe will always be about Kira and Athrun whether u like it or not.. Shin's character just icing off the cake to prolong plot and drama.. Get your facts straight..Ptsd boy wont take the mc role.. He got his part and that's it.. No more
@@Masaka6969 when I said when the series is confused about who the main character is that it lost focus on what its trying to do, my biggest problem with kira becoming the main character again in the second half is that he unfortunately had little character development, what we saw him in the beginning of the series was the same as when the series ended and it was because his story was pretty much done by the end of the first seed. I think that the series would have benefit if the focus was more on Athrun and shin only with kira in a supporting role because him taking the reigns as the main character again made the story very messy imo and I see that because destiny was actually decent until half way through when the problems start to show. Although this is what I think if you do like the series then that is fine and respect that opinion.
@@FOXZILLA5734 Well actually they did it right.. They make Shinn as their main mc.. And look what happened.. In the past 20+ episodes, viewers had enough with the ptsd boy running whole show.. @@FOXZILLA5734 Its because Shinn was extremely unpopular as a main character during the show's original run in Japan. So the writers changed course halfway through. @@huskarang3351 lol it’s true what is Rey and Lunamaria gonna do if they fought Strike Freedom, infinite Justice and Destiny?

Pinter banget ya Shinn itu
Dah tau kakinya ada beam saber malah ditendang

Dude just used hands to grab a beam saber
And bare leg to block Inf justice's leg beam blade.
That must be a panic move lol.
The Gundam storyline is very good and very exciting, my friend 👍👍👍🙏❤️
22:25 kinda rare scene though it's kinda knew to see a MS put back its beam saber
The final battle was a missed opportunity...having a longer 2 vs 2 battle and all 4 units suffer damages would make it a more interesting final battle
Well it’s because Kira and athrun are war veterans now unlike in Seed wherein Kira was mindfcked by Rau and the death of Flay affected him so much
@@jamesssdasds senseless reasons
@@huskarang3351 it's not senseless. Experience outcompetes training. Both Kira and Athrun had gained a tremendous amount of battle experience from SEED where they had to fight against pilots who were arguably better than them. Shinn and Rey, although were highly trained and obviously very skilled in their own respects, lacked the experience which would've refined their techniques and instincts.
even in shin's seed mode,he still lost his sword againts atrun normal mode.
My personal best Gundam attack pose ever: Athrun's kick in 13:13 and 22:09 somewhat as cool as the flying drive shoot of Tsubasa Ozora
Arthrun is such a gigachad

as for why Atrhun was stronger than Kira because since the beginning of Seed, he already an trained soldier, he was trained with firearms, battle tactics, and of course Mobile Suits, while at the beginning of Seed, Kira was just a college student, and on the halfway of the series he rode Strike purely to protect his friends that aboard Archangels, i admit that Kira computing ability far exceed Athrun, but if we talking about who's better at operating MS, Atrhun is better, also on the entire series, Kira ride Freedom because he need to, in order to protect, but for Atrhun, he has to, in order not to repeat his mistakes, that's why he need MS, tho he become confused with the idea of Durandal lel also Infinite Justice is designed for Close Combat, you can tell by those beam sabers on the body of Justice, while Strike Freedom is for Ranged Combat, by utilizing those flying beams xD anyway this is just my opinion :3
Hence Athrun having the upper hand when he and Kira went mano a mano in GSF.
Also Shinn becoming a fist burger.
22:08
踢到小鳥真靈魂出竅
Mistake Shin made when fighting Athern:
Number One: Charging in with just the Beam cannon in the hand only to get block and instead of backing off he gone for the counter attack
Number Two: Using the said beam cannons to stop the Infinite Justice's two Beam saber strike, but instead of backing off he decide to grab them
Number Three: Instead of backing off he decide to try and kick the Infinite Justice knowing full well it has beam saber attach to the legs
If Shin didn't make mistake number two he would have being able to fight to a draw with the Infinite Justice as with both and still intact Shin would have being able to use the Destiny's beam cannon, beam boomerang, and the anti-ship sword to fight the Infinite Justice. Using the beam cannon in the hand would be suicide for Shin as they're meant for close range which is the Infinite Justice's specialty.
It's called rookie mistake, they let a seasoned pilot vs a brainwashed kid fight.
@@kenshinthebuilder4945 we call it bs plot weak ending
It's not even that, the destiny could have won in that moment. The destiny have two beam shield on it's hand so if he angle it correctly he could have parry it and then blast athrun point blank with the palm beam
@@acidgolem2132 I don't know if he would have the perfect timing for this. IJ parried the force palm and turned the Destiny away, so Shinn had to turn around, and by the time IJ's sabers were almost hitting.

Bruh Athrun just yeet shin a second after he is in seed mode and I’m really think that Athrun is a better pilot than kira
I love it when Athrun saying
" Kono bakaeyo!"
This’s why Shin have PTSD about Justice :v

Saving Private Tamayo
8:08 gets hit by the same weapon that when in episode 41 "if that was a beam, it would have been over"
Athrun goes into seed mode: so you've chosen death
They had enough with his rant shit etc... That's why studio brought back Jesus Yamato to save the whole show.. Well guess what happened? Both turn into more shit than before..
@@FOXZILLA5734 Its because Shinn was extremely unpopular as a main character during the show's original run in Japan. So the writers changed course halfway through. It didn't help that they had written themselves into a corner with how few positive external forces they put around Shinn to help facilitate his character growth.
