Sounds nice and crispy! Those trails look fun too. I think you came up with a great slogan... "Honda CR500R...It'll get ya outta the house!!" Cheers

Nothing wrong with air cooled. Less parts to go out. Don’t have to worry with water pump or the magnesium crankcase cover corroding.Use 110 leaded race fuel mixed at 32:1 with high quality 2 stroke oil like Maxima castor 927 you won’t have any issues. These CR500’s run hot no matter what. So use and oil that can withstand lots of heat and mix at 32:1 4 ounces of oil to a gallon of fuel

That’s awesome😀 I have a 2000 model CR500, but rarely get to ride it… Here in Norway all those hikers would have called the cops on me immediately😂 But sometimes I take her out for a rip though, but I have to do some careful route planning before going out in the wild.

Vet du om noen som kan sveise cross-motor i Norge? Vurderer å sende hele motoren til USA eller UK og få den fullstendig restaurert. Mange kule sykler på siden din. Jeg kjører yz125 og zx9r også👍

Use the R1369N needle on 3rd clip postion. Air screw turn it all the way in clockwise til it stops then back it out 1.5 turns out counterclockwise. Main jet should be 168 main and 65 pilot. Make sure the carb is the Keihen PJ21A carb so you know that’s the stock carb

Pull your handle bars toward you to save the arm pump The earlier handle bars are a different bend as to ride confortable not so far forward. The baffle needs re packing and I honestly can tell you its down a little on power check your water pump o how much has eaten away from sitting to long. check reeds it may need rings maaybe piston and rings ,you kick that over way easy.

Mix you oil an fuel ratio a little rich.. make sure smokes.. an 2 you gotta let the big dog eat! Open her up! You never hit the power band but a time or 2.. she's not a putting around bike or any 2 stroke for that matter.. an also check your water pump an radiator an if necessary clean them out..
