I guess it would depend on your hair type. I have thick curly/wavy 2c-3a hair and this stuff works wonders!! I've spend a lot of money and time researching products and this is by far the BEST stuff I've used.
The products clearly didn’t work on your hair because the product clearly says for thick curly hair doesn’t say for thin hair that’s why those products failed if your hair is not thick or course then you shouldn’t be using it the bottles all their bottles clearly say moisturizing so it is used for thick dry curls Product works great I used it as directed and my hair is thick. I don’t get how people review products when they are not meant for them
I love how everyone's curls are so different. I use the conditioner and it defines my curls but they just don't feel soft. I use another bad conditioner that softens my hair but does nothing for my curls( Garnier whole blends coconut milk and vanilla ) smells amazing too. Is there anything that hydrates and moisturizes too?
I'm a guy with long hair (reaches the bottom of my scapula). My hair curls at the bottom and is super frizzy. Would these products work on me, or do I need to look at some "guy products"? My hair is really thick. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm always discouraged when going through long articles explaining hair treatments, because they are mostly always targeted at women, so I have no ide what I'm doing. Women, keep your beautiful curls! No matter what others may say about curly hair...it is gorgeous!
I’ve been watching a learning for months now and based on your info they probably would work. Maybe leave out the gel soufflé. Research what your porosity, curl type, and density is as well bc that play a part. But the hibiscus ingredient is supposed to be amazing for curls and for shine! And you may or may not need a gel with good hold. Depends on if you like soft curls or make your curls hold so they last all week. And the best thing you can do for your hair is DEEP CONDITION. Find someone on RUclips that has your hair type and learn from them too. Hope that helps :) and good luck, and thank you for that beautiful message to all the curly girls out there!
Afro hair needs oil and heavy creams .This was originally made for black hair it use to work great but when they tried to make it for everyone else it don't work as well for us anymore
It's tough to find moisturising without weighdown ,I find I have to clarify regularly - I want to love curl products but find its better to stick to lightweight products for fine hair then curls are bouncy.
My hair loves and hates this line. Mainly because if I use it too often my hair will go into protein overload and become dry and brittle! It does define and moisturize my wavy/curly hair but I have to switch out with other products when I notice my hair getting a little dry after a while.
You must try out shea moisture 100% virgin coconut daily hair hydration leav in treatment with coconut milk&avocado so amazing for my dry frizzy dead hair
I’m so glad I am not the only one who thought this!! These products were so hyped up and I was so excited but they made my hair less curly and more greasy I was so sad
I use just the gel souffle alone and it works well but you dont need alot. I have 3a hair. Low porosity and med high density. I have not used any of the products except for shampoo and want to try conditioner.....
we have different curl types but you do good reviews and I hit that subscribe. if you're a curly reading this, know that you are beautiful and don't even let people tell you otherwise (or let products weigh you down!) keep on fighting to find that perfect routine, everyone is unique and that's what makes us awesome. 😋
do you know any alternatives to the devacurl products? i have thin wavy hair but devacurl is just so expensive for me rn because i’m a broke college student lol
My hair sounds a lot like yours. A lot of it but each strand is very thin and fine. I have heard that Shea Moisture works best for thicker hair or hair more in the 4a to 4c category. I have put in an order for Jessicurl as I have heard awesome things about it. You should do a review of the Jessicurl line.
What is so funny is I have type 3A, medium porosity and have thicker hair and my hair absolutely loves the curling gel soufflé! Its interesting on how you think you have someone’s hair type and a product doesn’t work for them but works great for you
It is so crazy! I have normal porosity and finer hair so maybe that's why! I really enjoy other lines by Shea Moisture though ruclips.net/video/PkttkjNikCk/видео.html
I have 3a-3b curly hair. My hair is thicker than average, and a lot of it. I use the Shae Moisturizer Jamaican Castor Oil Leave-In Conditioner. I used DevaCurl for a few months and my hair loved it. But with all the negativity and price I didn't want to buy a second set. So I got the shampoo and conditioner in this video, since my hair loves the leave in but....my hair is a little frizzier than I got used too. I just used it for the first time today so I'm on the fence. Does any body have any suggestions?
You could try jessicurl! I am new to the curly girl world and i bought deva curl used it a few times and really liked it but now not wanting to anymore due to the many issues. Jessicurl has a great range of products for each hair type and is on the affordable side of things. I got the small size to test and they have been great for my hair ( im about 3a curls) I got the confident coils collection and added the gel to this. I use the deep condish after shampooing and leave this in for a while or only 5 min ( depending on hair needs) and then i use the regular condish as a leave in plus the next styling products. Been getting great results and im still in the transiting stage. Another option is Bounce curl - i havent tried them but i am keen just as i love to experiment with products bit this is more on expensive side! Ive seen so many postive reviews about them though
@@CarolynMariex3 Thats good! My Bounce curl products arrived today and they are great! I have the protein power treatment from shea moisture in that line and i love that! Thats a good line to use as well! I really love the leave in, clump and define cream + light cream gel from bounce curl. The shampoo and condish were good too but you can always stick to the manuka honey line as its great and way more affordable and styling products are probs more important :)
I have long thick wavy/curly hair and I want to try the Curly Girl Method. I would use the DivaCurl line to start but it’s to expensive:/. So, I’m going to try the Shea Moisture but idk if it would work. Also is gel good for styling my hair with?
I absolutely would not recommend this product. It has caused my hair to fall out significantly more than it does with other products from other brands. My hair has also thinned a lot. I can actually see my scalp now through my hair which I have never been able to before! Is anyone else experiencing this?
@@tttttQL I think it could be an allergic reaction of some sort.. I just got this conditioner and shampoo but I do know that not everyone has had this experience-

I loved the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Shine Conditioner product has changed. I noticed it now has alcohol. I don't think this product had alcohol before. Can anyone confirm? thx.
Those are fatty alcohols in the product. Totally different from rubbing alcohol. They can be a good thing. Don't just refer to it as "alcohol", it's very misleading. Look them up.

The coconut hibiscus line from sheamoisture is definitely more for thick curls so that’s probably why it didn’t work on your hair❤️
