Thank you so much Mylinda for this useful tutorial. I would like to add some easy tricks for chart as I'm using them in my professional dashboards.
1- CTRL+6: Hiding and unhiding charts and other objects
2- ALT+F10: Open object pane
3- CTRL+C+C: Open the copy and paste panel, which is helping whenever you want to paste it another place.
4- For default color templates: First arrange individual chart colors from Themes in Page Layout Tab and save as it as your own name. Then save your current workbook as named Workbook1 into C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART. Then, whenever you open any workbook, you are able to find your themes selected automatically. 😵
Great, tips! Thanks for sharing, Emre :-)
After selecting year and data columns, we can use 'recommended charts' available in ribbon to select line chart. That ways, we get year data on x axis directly. You are one of the best excel tutors👍
Thanks so much, Nethikar! I'll give recommended charts a go. I tend to avoid them because I'm old school 😂
Those tips are definitely useful!! They will help me a lot to customize my charts. Thanks for sharing, Mynda!

No matter how many years I've had in this program, I still learn new tips and tricks with every one of these videos!
Also, does anyone remember how to quickly move a column of data to a different column within an unformatted table? Currently I add a blank column, cut my desired column, paste into the newly created blank column and then delete the now blank column where my data originally was. I know there is an easier way and it was even called out in one of these videos; I just don't remember which one now.
Glad it was worth your time to watch, Dan! To move data in columns/rows/cells, hold SHIFT while left clicking and dragging the range of cells.

Hi Mynda. Great tips!
Is there any way you can align the columns in a column chart with the spreadsheet columns?
Only by trial and error manually resizing the chart to the columns. There’s no setting as such.
Could you do this for healthcare managers? Managers need tools to show CEOs WHY they are not meeting KPIs.
Yes, as long as you have a target value and an actual value, you can compare them.
After I've spent not inconsiderable time selecting the right colours for a chart, only to have them change when I copy it and change the data is enormously frustrating! Who'd have thought there was a setting for that? Thanks, Mynda!
So pleased to hear this will be useful to you, Craig!
In order to understand your courses , which office you use.
Because I have office 2016 only.
In this video I’m using Microsoft 365, but my courses cater for Excel 2016 too.
I want to copy and paste link my data for summary or consolidation. I have found it easy when the cells are adjacent. But when there are already gaps in cells, it slows me down because i have to do it one by one. Is there any fast way to do it? Maybe in batch? Thank you.
I'd probably use Power Query to gather the data and remove the gaps, but it's difficult to say for sure without seeing an example. You're welcome to post your question and sample Excel file on our forum where we can help you further: www.myonlinetraininghub.com/excel-forum
Is there a simple way to compare hospital/healthcare staffing from year to year with patient and staff satisfaction scores?
Yes, as long as you have the data you can chart it.
The right I think. My right.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 great
I want to learn Excel, how do I start?

@@MyOnlineTrainingHub I gotchu
How Ctrl+D copy the charts? This command is for down the current window
In Excel CTRL+D duplicates objects or if you're in a cell, copies data from the cell above.
@@MyOnlineTrainingHub i knew about it copy the cell which is above but will try on charts. Thanks
