How to manage it if an employee is reporting to two supervisors? How to make entries of it in Excel that can reflect on Visio?
Hi I would do this manually but before I would really think about the hierarchy. Let’s say if one supervisor said x and the other said y which would the employee do. Then you have your structure for that project.

Hi! I created an Org Chart using an excel upload with the column "Master_shape". I want to link my data so if the position type changes it will automatically update in the Org Chart. Ex. Vacancy becomes Position. I've tried linking my data and changing the position in excel but it doesn't update in the Org chart. Is there a way this can be done?
Hi Sorry don't know a way of doing that you can link the data if you're using professional version but the shape doesn't update.
is it possible to create any arbitrary chat including triangles, Trapezius,or arbitrary attached shapes??
As far as I know you have to live with the shapes that are given although in the later version of Visio you can change the shape design afterwards.
How can I merge them to be 1 page instead of different multi pages ?
When you get the option to split by department, don't. Should all go on on one "large" page. Will double check to confirm myself

Hello, how can I adjust the hierarchy on excel to avoid having a specialist on top of the subordinates?
Basically have the specialist report to the manager. Whoever a person reports to will be below them in the hierarchy.

But the senior is always on top of the subordinates and then the leader, I was wondering if there is a way to fix this even when they report to the same person I want the leader to be on top of the subordinates and then the senior

hello there, I wanted to ask, is it possible to update data from excel to visio ? for example we change, edit, delete or add any data from excel and in the visio it automatically update ?
have to reimport the data from excel to visio and link the shapes on your visio to excel. your display field in visio should the be the same as excel
@@sean1857 okay thank you and I also have another question....when I try to import the excel file into the visio.....it contains multiple duplicates because some information in my excel contain vacancies for position and the visio will try to delete the vacant positions

Hi if you're having trouble with seeing the employee ID on the shape instead of the name you can use the name as a last resort. ruclips.net/video/468RfTWdce0/видео.html
Only trouble could be if there are two people with the same name.
This didn't work for me. My org chart is separated into different pages. Frustrating. What am I doing wrong?
If you want your org chart to be on one big page you need to select the "I want to specifiy how much of my organisation chark to display on each page". 4:42 in video. Then, after clicking next, choose the name of the person at the top of the hierarchy. Hope that this helps.
