The Analogues perform 'Revolution 9' by The Beatles during an integral rendition of The Beatles' White Album at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, August 24th, 2018. Visuals by Jaap Drupsteen.
I always skipped this one. Lennons finest as some say? Well, not for me. But The Analogues made it watchable. A really perfect visual accompanies the sound production. Real genius. This is the first time I watched/listened the whole piece. Makes The Analogues even greater. Thanx!
“Revolution 9” es una de mis piezas favoritas, incluso está por encima de otros temas “regulares” de The Beatles. Quizá este pueda ser el cover más complicado de elaborar.
Jaap Drupsteen is most famous for his design of the dutch Gulden banknotes, before the introduction of the Euro. But his videoclip of Revolution 9 is priceless! 😀
As much as I adore the production in bringing this song to life, be that in sound or video, there is something creepy about that tape machine standing there ominously, lit by a single light, while it produces this cacophony of sounds.
Then it served it's purpose. Rev9 is creepy unto itself. But I love Rev9 and this collage is actually really well executed. I think John would love this
Un-effing-believable. This is on another level of creepy and disturbing compared to the original. The audio production and the visuals are just incredible.
Very nice, very impressive! I thought that was my old buddy Daniel Johnston in the thumbnail, but it's not -- is it?!? Daniel certainly did his share of Beatles covers, from "Love Me Do" with the Butthole Surfers and "Tomorrow Never Knows" with Jad Fair to sloppy attempts at "Blackbird" and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" in our periodic 4-track portastudio sessions. (One or two of those is among the things I've posted on SoundCloud) As "Not Daniel Johnston" I once took part in a White Album "hoot night" with various acts performing the tracks live in sequence, and I took part in a "cover" of Rev #9 with the Golden Arm Trio and Wammo from the Asylum Street Spankers. I was on "recorder", by which I mean I had a defective double cassette deck that would let you simultaneously play both decks forward and/or reverse as well as playing the rewind and FF functions at full volume. It was an ideal tool for interpreting that particular composition in a live performance setting but it was still just a mess, as opposed to what you guys managed to accomplish here...
Found the answer. It appears Bart from the Analogues re-made the whole thing. There is a short documentary about it (in Dutch) ruclips.net/video/XnsmesfMOAg/видео.html
@@ostar22 Wow! I thought they used the original. I never cared for this song but this version when combined with the visuals is actually interesting to watch and listen.

Revolutionary 9 sounds like the song you would hear on creepypasta videos, and that's probably why I like it.
I used to ignore Revolution #9 but this video collage really brings it to life. Great production, excellently done!
You can’t skip the white.
One of the best Beatles songs. Avant-Garde John
I've watched this 9 times
That was the best reply in the history of music video replies.✌
AccurateCrabLegs - you rock.
@@danielleach8735 indeed it was.
Good on you! 🕘
For them to pull this off is amazing

How beautiful! I love this that she became my favorite 😊

With pieces like this, The Beatles put all other bands to Attention!
Meravigliosa! 💖💖💖💖💖

Nevermind, I just realized it couldn't be Dan -- that person has wa-a-ay too many teeth!!!
Good to see italian comic actor Totò in N9 video.
I would imagine the tape machine is just a prop, and the actual digital files are on a flash drive or SSD playing directly into the mixing board.
No shit
all dreams have meanings.. my dream:
Brilliant graphics.
excelente, único.
I wonder, did they remake the whole track, by finding the sources of the original samples and/or re-record and mix them?
I wonder too

I believe everything that they do is a 100% re-creation.

John is always at the forefront
Definitely.
only thing missing from this is the hitler scene and his fans cheering.which john used a clip from in revolution 9
Brilliant !!! Any tour dates to South Florida in the future ?
Lennon was a genius.
👍
Hi The Analogues, you put adzan at 7:16 - 7:40. I don't think it's adzan in The Beatles version. Can you please explain? Many Thanks
fucking incredible -
Analogues are awesome! But to try revolution 9 takes more nerve than i can imagine. not to mention the fab video.
I laughed my ass off at 1:42
@sydmccreath4554its random and unexpected lol 😂
I feel like if you watch this nine times while saying nine…nine times John is gonna appear or something
I still think "Numba 8" by the Be Sharps was much better...

I hear sound of adzan...? Really?
Ya I think it's the wrong thing I kida feel offended
I don’t understand, what do you mean?

I consider it very realistic and simbolic ,then difficult to fully enjoy, justo is My simple point of view.
That was somewhat disturbing.
Toch raar om werk van anderen zo exact te kopiëren. Waar is jullie éigen creativiteit gebleven?
Dat is als tegen het Royal Philharmonic Orchestra zeggen , "speel eigen werk in plaats van de 9de van Beethoven". 🤦😂
