NIXX - Alice Gets Ready/Don't Be Afraid of your Dreams (A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 Cover Remix)

My cover of the music from the scene where Alice gets ready for the final battle with Freddy from 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master'. Wasn't released on the soundtrack and is a rock/guitar remix of the Go West song 'Don't be Afraid of your Dreams', which is one the soundtrack. I used some of the melodies from that song and did some of my own melodies too. This track had been at the back of my mind for years to do and thought I'd better do it.

This is awesome. Alice has always been one of my favourite final girls of all time and it is because of her transformation arc, going from a shy, introverted victim to the Dream Master, her strength comes from her vulnerability. She is the GOAT. Nightmare 4 is the GOAT. The music embodies it perfectly. Such an inspiring and uplifting theme from a horror film.

I listened to the track before I read your description, but I picked up on the incorporation of the melody from the Go West lyrics. Very cool blending of the two-- thoughtful interpretation excellently performed.
