Went for the first time 2 weeks ago going back Tuesday can’t wait met a lot of cool guys and a lot of good tips for my first launch I’ve been kayaking lakes for a year and this was different
The swell usually comes from the sw and that's what you want. The point of LA Jolla blocks the sw swell so the launch is usually no problem when conditions are normal. If you see a wsw swell or a west swell... don't be surprised if it's too big to go out. And the periods Don usually get 2 bad but about 8 seconds is as about as quick as like to see it
If you solo launch from there do you leave your kayak unattended while you park your vehicle? I read there is a parking lot nearby, can I launch from there?
Ya. No one messes with your stuff. There are always some of us on the beach and we watch but no one touches lol. The parking lot is just around the corner.
Can’t wait to hit up La Jolla one of these days. Your videos are gold 👍
I appreciate it brotha!
That’s nice. I can’t believe they let u drive onto the beach and launch like that. We don’t have anything like that in oc I don’t believe
Ya its super convenient... you'll love it🤘🤘

Oh you'll get addicted to the ocean quick!
Is 2-3 ft surf to bug to launch from on the La Jolla shores?
No.... as long as the intervals are not real close. Intervals matter more than wave height most the time
Bro thanks a lot for doing what you do. Your content is invaluable and have learned a lot from them. Hope to see you out there soon
I appreciate it bro... thats why I do it 🤘
You changed out of a wetsuit on kayak? Impressive
lol thanks.... its not easy 😂😂😂😂
The parking lot around the corner, is it free? If not, how much an hour? Good content. Gave you a like and subscribed.
Appreciate it! The parking lot is free all day and if you're launching early you can find a spot in the street closer to the launch
Also... this video will be helpful for you as well

Nice video and information. Which surf & wind conditions do you find are easier to launch in? Which swell-period size are difficult?
