Thanks once again dear Anna for your great demonstration of the Bernette 05. Beautiful and confident, I always enjoy watching your videos For such a great hobby but also a necessity, for sewing since the dawn of man and woman has kept us warm sheltered and protected for so many thousands of years. I would never be without my sewing machine for its value is priceless and it's always saved me so much money not having to go to a seamstress or a tailor to do my clothes.
Thank you for your clear demo. I just got my Bernette and even though the Bernina shop is just down the road from me, I'm definitely subscribing to your channel. I also have my first lesson tomorrow and I'm very excited to start using my Bernette.
Thank you for this wonderful demonstration. Someone on another site that was showcasing the Bernette 05 Academy said it cannot do more than 2 layers (at best). I am starting to sew bags and need a more heavy duty machine than the one I have (Husqvarna Viking 630) does not like to sew 4 layers- which is easy to do when bagmaking. I am looking at either this machine or the Janome HD 5000BE (which has a walking foot) here in Canada. I imagine Bernina sells walking feet as I would like to start sewing vinyls. TY again for your post! Cheers.
Hi, your review was awesome! Finally one with more details on the stretchy stitches and an actual button hole demo. Anyway, I've been having some issues with the bobbin case jumping and creating a small thread nest at regular intervals. I'm thinking there must be something wrong with the plastic bobbin case thingy. Although I can't find an actual burr it seems to me the thread is catching on something. I would like to replace the bobbin case but can't figure out the model number for this specific machine. Most of the bobbin case replacements I can find are for singer or janome machines. Will any of these fit my machine? (Bernette b05). Also lately my top thread keeps breaking. Do you have any tips for that? Thank you ❤❤
Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your machine. It is advisable to get a genuine Bernette part for the best results from your machine, sadly we do not keep them in stock, but we can get it for you. If you would like us to do this, then please email your request to our Customer Service team at sales@thesewingstudio.co.uk. Regarding needle thread breakage, it could be several things from poor quality thread, wrong needle size for the thread, incorrect threading, or a burr on the needle plate that the thread is rubbing against.
Looks good what is it like for curtains and soft furnishings as that's mostly what I do? How does it compare to the Janome 230dc which I am also considering?
