Solo taunter tongue gets a ton of traffic and fun honor duels, and pve between fights, it made my Guts playthrough really fun. Arena queue takes forever sometimes, and at that point, it's just vibing to roundtable music. I like to put a glowstone wherever someone dies :)
Honestly one of my favorite weapons. Players are for some reason terrified of the ash of war and you roll catch them when they run away or the nihil catches them and they can’t react in time. Awesome showcase as always Chase!

I feel the threat of the bloodboon ritual really keeps players on their toes, making them struggle to figure out and keep good distance. Close enough to land a hit but not to close so they can quickly disengage when they see you starting the ritual.
I started solo tongue taunting after my first playthrough because, honestly, the lands between can kinda feel empty at times. Invaders really make things more exciting when you're running through catacombs or from grace to grace.

Personally I use the taunter tongue to get the added challenge of having to deal with invaders while progressing through the game. After 1000 hours of PvE the game is pretty easy without the extra chaos of invaders in my world.

16:40 The Taunter's Tongue doesn't work like that. If you are solo and you have it active, it allows 1 red. If you have 1 gold, it allows 2 reds. If you have 2 golds... you only get 1 red. There is no way to get 2 golds and 2 reds in together (yes, I miss DS3 multiplayer madness as well...) So the solo rune arc duellists don't have to worry about turning the tongue off, it will only ever allow one red in at a time.
I like solo TT duels tbh. Most times it’s less try hard and if host heals first then I’ll heal and have some longer battles since damage is typically high. I also get to try different things with no time limit and the dynamic setting is a bonus
At 8:45 how are you getting poisoned? I swear there’s sth funky with poison and scarlet rot buildup. Some overflow or sth. Often when you don’t quite get poisoned yet but get onto safe ground again it then anyways keeps accumulating, even if you heal yourself with bolases.
If you roll in poisonous goop it visibly sticks to your body and applies it over time even after you leave, you gotta wash it off with soap. Like the actual soap item

Also using the taunters tongue, summoning at the effigy and getting blues in is the closest thing we can get to a "fight club" minus the timer limit with arena ❤

I'm just now starting to taunters tongue in hopes of setting up fight clubs. Have had a few so far at Academy Main gate. But a big thing is I hate the loading screens going in and out of the colloseum. A lot of the time with TT, invaders periodically come in so there's always a fight with little down time.
