There is more behind their scenes.
In fact, they said that when they first became a team, they felt awkward and unfamiliar with each other. They had to just laugh because the broadcasting station cameras were filming it, but they said they were surprised to be on the same team as Hyeong-ho. Because it was an unexpected combination.
Hyeong-ho had never talked to Doo-hoon and Woo-rim before they became a team, and although they met by chance with Min-gyu, they were not very close. In the program, they all wrote down the members they wanted, and then the production team took that into consideration and decided on the team.
However, Kang Hyeong-ho did not write down the names of any of the Forestella members (this is a truth that was revealed later). Woorim also did not write Hyeong-ho's name. That's why I was surprised when we met each other.
Hyeongho is actually… I was a little discouraged throughout the program. At the time, Hyeong-ho was an office worker, so the process was very difficult among singers who were already active in music. He was sometimes ignored by fans. When the team was first formed, there were many rude fans who argued that Hyeong-ho should be removed from the team because he was an amateur.
He was in a lonely situation after the team members he had been with throughout the program were eliminated.
The members did not know each other because they did not have a deep relationship from the beginning. It took many years for the members to become truly close to each other.
Afterwards, the members opened up about their true feelings and approached each other honestly, freely giving advice and accepting each other's shortcomings.
Hyeong-ho went through a more difficult process than the other team members.
Sometimes, bad fans would send DMs to Hyeong-ho and criticize him, emphasizing the fact that he was an amateur. He received countless DMs, but instead of hating them, he improved himself. He said he chewed it all and swallowed it.
He finally removed the prejudices of those fans. This is because he was reborn as Forestella's producer with not only the ability to write, compose, and arrange vocals, but also to direct vocals. He is playing a very pivotal role in the musical aspect. It is said that he devotes himself to his creative activities without rest even on his days off.
Looking at all of these aspects, you will be able to understand a little bit about Hyeong Ho's position as revealed in the behind-the-scenes story. But now the team members are very close and he gets along well with them because he is a warm-hearted person more than anyone else. Hyeongho, with his honest and easy-going personality, is always kind to everyone. Of course, all team members are good people.

Conocer la historia me hace entender más las letras de sus canciones. Be Free es conmovedora. Siempre que la escucho mee deja con un sabor agridulce.
Me encanta la personalidad de este muchacho. Aún no le he encontrado fallas a su lógica.

I supposed that Woorim, Doohoon and Mingyou had written down their three names in the paper where they had to chose their partners when they arrived to the final in Phantom Singer 2 and had to form the team and create Forestella because they three had been together in some parts of the contest, but I didn’t know how Hyungho had ended with the other three in the same band, but I had supposed that maybe he had been impressed when he sang with Mingyou “Sweet Dreams” in the random combination and both had selected each other, and Hyungho knew that in the band that Mingyou were, also Woorim and Doohoon would be too, so I didn’t know what you’ve explained (I don’t speak Korean and I only know the story through subtitled videos) And it’s sad that thing about the bad fans… he’s a perfect example of how to achieve your goals…with a lot of effort, of course, and now he’s the great artist he is now. It's true.
One thing to add is that Hyungho was one of the people with the most fans at the time of Phantom Singer, so his fans contributed to giving a lot of votes for Forestella to win. Bad fans ignored this and disparaged Hyungho as an amateur for a long time.
I am proud of Hyungho, who has endured such times and what he is accomplishing now.
Here's another behind story few people know... it was not aired, but in the final round one of the judges said no one except for MinGyu wrote HyungHo as wished member. (I read it in the reviews from the audience, it wasn't a secret but less known to everyone. )
as HyungHo had to go and back to Busan for his chemist job, MinGyu kept taking care of HyungHo like a fragile glass like giving the ride for HyungHo from KTX station to broadcast spot and back to the station while the audition. MinGyu insisted to protagonize the rocker identity of HyungHo to make a good stage when they were singing Sweet Dreams together in the random quartet round. MinGyu was understanding very well how the audition show goes, unlike HyungHo only planned to make his Phantom of the Opera filmed and leave. Also HyungHo said quite times he could decide to resign his promising chemist career for unpredictable career as a professional musician because of the members.
I personally think, Forestella could succeed because they were very good at entertaining as well as singing in their unique fresh interpretation. MinGyu was the key who threw himself to entertain people, knew about trends and memes while others were so gentle and humble to protagonize themselves in the entertaining scenes. There are so many good singers in Korea, many Phantom Singers appeared at Immortal Songs and sang very well. But Forestella always brought new entertaining items to show, developed it further in trends, in a quite good quality for broadcast. I think that's one of the reasons why Forestella kept getting chances to show them on TV. That made them known to more people, even to global fans.
BTW I don't think HyungHo was bashed because he was an amateur, but he had too stable promising job to be an audition singer. No one knew the crossover team could succeed to what level at that time, their senior(?) Phantom Singer 1 winner Forte di Quattro was also a newbies in the showbiz field, only half a year ahead. Before the Phantom Singer audition, opera singers were considered as one of hunger's jobs like to get allowed to serve as a social service worker, not in a military unit because of difficulties in making a living.
For that reason no one could expect HyungHo to be active in a crossover quartet getting out of his stable salary.

If you want it to know what that means , you have to understand what korean culture is.
In Korea, when people age apart, you must deal with older people with respect. So some time they decided to break down to what a similar age group can treat? Or talking to each other. That is called ya-ja time. However, it's just our own things that foreigners can't easily understand 😂
Often, we called friends or younger people 'ya' almost means 'hey'
