At first, I dreaded the real world sections and just wanted to return to the silly rpg in headspace. Eventually, I was frustrated by headspace and desperately wanted to get back to the real world so I can make real connections and do things that mattered. The game does a wonderful job at making you put yourself into the shoes of sunny and it’s truly a masterpiece. Great video!!! Very well made, this deserves more views!
I didn't know it had a name, dissociative amnesia. My mom has that. She doesn't remember her childhood nor mine, almost like the trauma blocked it. This video explains things greatly. Wonderful video. Also about the lamp, I 100% believe it. I've had dreams that have felt so long just to wake up and be confused because the dream felt so real.
Nice essay! I'd argue the better word to use would be 'grounded' instead of 'realistic' but it doesn't take away from the points you've made. Funny how the most 'realistic' horror is usually most concerned with terrors of the *mind* huh? I guess it's because all horror comes from human fear, it is produced in the human mind, so tackling the terrors of the mind is the most hands-on approach you could have with horror. You've got to mark the spoilers though. I would be bummed if I haven't played the game to get slapped in the face with the game's main twist without any warnings. Mari being dead irl is fine but past that line there should be a spoiler alert just in case. There're also typos in the word 'psychosis' in the thumbnail. Although I have my gripes with Omori (many many gripes), I can't deny this game deserves all the discussions. Of all its good and bad moments
Holy shit, can't believe this just popped up in my recommended with only 1 view lol. Amazing work man! This shit rocks. Super underrated channel.

Oof. Small correction: Mari was the pianist and Sunny was the violinist.
Thanks for the correction, didn’t notice it until now.

Thanks for the info, I played the game ages ago so a few minor mistakes were made. By the time I realised, it was too late.
