Awesome like always, thank you JC: my villager took roughly 8 and a half stacks of seeds before he stopped picking them up: indicating his inventory was full. To anyone having trouble with him not doing what he's supposed to: that might be your issue.

@onurnebioski8402 unfortunately not, it is a pain getting all the seeds if I remember correctly haha. Pretty sure I just planted and broke a whole bunch of wheat manually for the extra seeds

My villager is picking up wheat even after giving him 8 stacks of seeds
I just realized I accidentally did a carrot version of this farm, I noticed 4 of my farm villagers stopped picking up the carrots so I made a minecraft hoppy system to prevent lag 😅
We , poor people sure find our way eventually 😃

i love your vids! I love that you include in the video exactly how many of each thing/block we need! you should also include the final dimensions of the build so ppl in survival know how much room is needed to be cleared out! bedrock king

The only thing is, farmers can step on slabs then jump down and break the grain. I changed slabs to fence posts over the watering holes.

@@Pixiekizzwater leaks out the bottom of the roots into the minecart system
Personally I like to add a hopper timer at the end to guarantee everything in the minecart can make it into the chest. Otherwise these guides have been extremely useful!

how does the comparator not accomplish this more efficiently ?
No timer needed. The comparator disables the powered rail so that minecart remains stopped on the hopper until it is completely empty, then reactivates the rail to send it on its way.
Mine doesn't stop long enough, or maybe there just isn't that many things in the hopper minecart...

Start with a fresh villager. thats why he filled his inventory with seed only. He will pick up any seed and the minecart picks up the wheat.

I built a little house extension on one corner of the farm, something changed recently and I think villagers need to be able to see their beds, might aswell let the villager have access to it.

@@ScoRPy22 there were some poppies too. Approx 2 double chests and 3 rows of another of only iron. And I have built this farm long ago. I made 7-8 farms after building this. And it was in the center, so technically I didn't have to afk. It was always within the simulation distance.
Also, shulkercraft's farms are generally for java edition. That means you are a java player. I play on ipad(pocket edition).
If you need more just afk. I don't think there is any other way of improving iron farm, since you can't stack them.
@@ScoRPy22 Sorry😆 I once built one of shulkercraft's farm. And it didn't work. Later found that they build farms mainly for java which is not mentioned in their video titles.
I recommend putting a roof over that as lightening can cause the villager to become a witch.

No I didn't figure it out but went ahead and doubled the size of the farm and brought in a second farmer just to make sure. I also added 2 bee hives, one for honey and one for combs. I ran everything into a sorter underneath so I didn't have to go into the farm all the time. everything is working great. @@eaglee247

Currently working, i added a small item sorter, auto bone meal for the seeds, auto crafter for bread, super awesome fully automatic system :)

I remember one time I found allays in a mansion and I brought them to my base just tie them to fence posts and they would pick up any potatoes that my farmer villagers would break. Best farm for me.
did everything exactly as the video instructed, my villager is a farmer and I've traded him to lock his profession. filled him with 8 stacks of seeds, but he is hasn't been breaking the grown wheat as he should - what would be the issue here?
Did u place a bell and a bed nearby the farm so that your enslaved dud can recognise it as a village?
I was having the same issue, Make sure you have a fresh villager via villager breeding, what worked for me was moving the bed to a location where the villager could see it, keep in mind I don’t think he will work at night, and make sure there are NO villagers nearby, was having issues with nearby villagers pairing with my farmer’s bed. If you want to make your farm more effective I suggest replacing one end of glass blocks with flowering azalea leaves and the opposite end with bees. Hope this helps!
I had to turn "mob griefing" on.... Farmers need to be able to pick stuff up. Unfortunately that means everyone else can mess with blocks too
Tip:- You can bring villager into farm by a boat by taking lead and by going above to the ground level, the boat automatically come up and by going into fram the boat will go into the farm

I filled my villagers inventory with seeds but he won’t harvest the crops he just walks around the farm being useless
He is not going to be able to harvest because he has a full inventory and there is now way for him to harvest is without a second villager and a composter and a bunch of redstone

Yes
Know that in java the minecart will phase through the tilled dirt and suffocate the villager. Make sure to release the villager before putting them on the dirt.

This is very timely, im breeding war horses and this is very usefull
Sugar is less expensive than wheat for horses, it's 40 sugar to breed from new born to full grown. Also an easy farm to automate, leaves you wheat for trading/bread.

I think something is wrong, I've tried this like 6 times now and the villagers (I've tried several methods, moving villagers from villages, zombie villlagers, so on multiple times) and they refuse to pick up the seeds. I also checked the version of the game, 1.20 so that's correct, and bedrock, I'm on a Nintendo Switch. What am I doing wrong? Why won't any villager pick up seeds? I'm on a realm BTW
It could be the mob griefing is disabled

@liamkew4838 do you need any crops other than wheat? If so, then alternate the crops in straight rows (crops grows faster if you alternate them in lines) or look into adding a bumble bee into the set up to help pollinate them

Yes, to less efficacy, the villager would take the product to replant it, so you get less overflow

It works with any crop a villager can farm, so yes potato’s carrots beets

You need to fill his entire inventory so he can't pick up wheat.
Go AFK for a bit and the villagers inventory will fill up and the farm will start working
My villager would not link up to the bed and composter even though the villager farm from which it came from have no bed, what should I do?

I am having a problem with a minecart, it just stop moving, every now and then on the different spots. Any suggestions? I followed your design, but built the 9x9 farm, with the rail system completely underground.

@@finnsinning2187 Yes, its a hopper minecart, its working for some time, then it randomly stops
You need to make sure you stay within render distance or everything will stop working. The carts probably getting stuck on a normal rail because you have gone too far and will need to be nudged to get it to a powered rail again. The best thing to do is to put a lever in to stop and start the cart so when you leave the area just switch it off once it reaches the end of the rail and start it again once you’re near it
can you build it close to a villager breeder if you break the beds?

My villager wont collect wheat sometimes. I didn't place the bed in the exact corner you did but I don't think that would change it. It seems that he only stops working at night. How can I fix this?

im having issues with the minecart getting stuck in the middle, i even added a lever to stop the farm whenever i leave the radar, but i noticed whenever i afk near it again it stops halfway, waht can i do to fix it?
Same. I even added more powered rails and the cart just stops in the same spot. Very frustrating as I did this in survival. Lot of time wasted.

i built my farm a bit more than 100 blocks from a village and the villager won’t farm. It just stands in the corner. I’ve afked for a few minecrsft days and nothing changes. Does anyone know how to fix this? Do I need to move further away from the village?

Ik I’m late but is this farm meant for you to afk near it? It’s also a bit on the slow side, any recommended changes to make it faster?
I have 3 things to help make it faster but they're all kinda expensive except one. 1. Add more layers on top to increase total output of wheat 2. Add more villagers inside one farm but this difference would be negligible at best 3. Replace all rails to powered rails. The only one that might be good is number 1

As always, thanks for the tutorial... but your redstone isn't working for me. The minecart is practically full and when it goes over the rails, the powered rails do turn off for a moment but then they turn back on and the minecart doesn't really stop. I'll have to find another way to handle this...

Same. I've killed the villager and started over at least 5 times and he just wont farm the wheat. I even went so far as to build a villager breeder to ensure its inventory was empty. Still nothing. Sadness.
