@@Estradamente Yes, if you become unaffected by something, it also retroactively negates any effects you were under. So if you evolve into something that can't have its DP lowered, you go back to your original DP as well.
A weird one is that once you lose immunity, you then get the effects though. So if it's your opponent's turn and you're immune to effects but your opponent uses a bunch of effects that last until your next turn, once your turn starts and Magnamon isn't immune anymore, all those effects work.

@@blazesona12 I guess that's just how they wanted to design the game. You could think of it as all effects in this game "continuous" effects so once you lose immunity they are affecting you again.

jesmon was a really neat tech. its sad to see rapidmon lose from the constant immunity from magna, but tbf its had more waves of support that rapid x as well.

Yeah… the fact that Magnamon was basically just immune to Rapidmon the majority of the game was a bit of a buzzkill. Really prevented the green deck from truly showing off

I haven't been able to afford to get more cards or had the time to play at the local card shop for a long time, so it's been nice being able to pop over to Protag's channel whenever the itch hits me. Even if I can't play myself anymore, it's great knowing I can always peek in here and have a good time watching.

What an absolute wild game! That final gambit with Paddy trashing his last security was amazing
A card doesn’t need to be “checked” from security to activate Magnamon X’s when digivolving effect. When an attack is successful, you first remove the security card, then perform the check. So if, for example, the security Digimon was a 13.000DP digimon, Magnamon X would not die because it would activate its When digivolving effect after removing the security but before the battle. It happens the same with EX4 ShadowSeraphimon, when they attack your security, the card is removed, you De-Digivolve an opponent’s Digimon and the dedigivolved Digimon battles against security

Also since GX already has blitz and can suck a source to unsuspend and do any of the magna’s when digivolving, I’d remove both copies of X antibody

@@bonesawmcgraw5073 the new magna X and jesmon GX won’t get any use out of its protection effect, making the only real target old magna X, I’d rather max out on copies of blinding ray to consistently hit it for new magna X or play some blue/black options like final zubagon punch or kaiser nail etc etc becuase new magna X is so oppressive

That's because magna is actually horseshit, the only thing you can do is pray they don't have a blinding ray in hand and run into a bomb or bigger body before their effect happens

Are the deck lists anywhere? I've recently gotten into the game and really want to try a Veemon deck because he and Impmon are my favs
EDIT: I see there's a visual list at the end of the video but again i'm new so I don't exactly know which version of those cards are which since there's no names on the cards (I see they're in Japanese even though the names are covered up)

Magnamon X is a menace, an absolute power house, using Jesmon GX as finisher was freaking nuts.

At 10:00, megagargomon Ace effect suspends and prevents digivolves. So even with the Magnamon X antibody effect, it shouldn't get rid of the effect? The effect has already happened for the turn. I'm so lost.
If you gain protection after an effect has applied, the effect no longer works.
This also happens vice versa. If you target a protected mon with an effect and they later lose the protection, the effect starts applying.
10:22: anime comeback aside; is there a ruling precedent that tells us about this interaction? How do lingering effects/ player actions work in Digimon exactly?
Exactly, i was under the knowledge that lingering effects that were applied before the inmunity hare still applied to digimon who are inmune
Effects always can be applied to a digimon. If they have protection they simply don't do anything.
If the protection wears off before the effect being granted does, that effect now takes effect.
If you gain protection after an effect, then the effect stops applying

I’ve always seen Jesmon GX in some deck lists but I never knew why people ran it since you couldn’t use Magnamon X’s effect with it. I was, um, mistaken on what you were meant to do-
Jesmon GX is basically the blitz omni of the deck. If you have a BT16 Magnamon X antibody or bt8 magnamon in your trash it can unsuspend and get another swing in
That tech with JesGX is brutal!
I know I'm waiting for BT16 to nab the X cards for both my Veemon & Rabbit deck. It's great to see that the Double Typhoon deck has some great cards in it as well!

Despite the good showing from Rapidmon, this feels like Magna X is just going to rofltstomp a ton of stuff with its constant immunity
The only way to beat it is to put a really big blocker in front of it and pray. Things like Machine and Wargrey come to mind. It only has that DP if it gets to hit security

Ok.... so.... HOW did magnamon x unsuspend at all during that last turn when it was hit by megagargomon ace's skill? Doesn't it say can't be unsuspended and it was already applied before magnamon x became unaffected by effects
Blinding Light, bro. It trashes a security, so Magnamon X gains immunity to all effects from opponent so he gets to unsuspend.
@B-Man-69 yea but wasn't the can't be unsuspended thing hit the magnamon x first...... then it got the imunity (which from what I've hurd apparently turns off the can't be suspended effect of megagargomon ace [which i find really dumb]

Bro that Magnamon is too broken. It's a completely unfair card for the upcoming meta, the fact that it cancels out any effects it gained before triggering it's own effect is an absolute nightmare. The game was close but my god that Magnamon. They shouldn't have given us a card like this, it's even splashable in 3 different colored decks. I really hope they hit this card to one at some point or that they give us some kind of support going forward to where this card doesn't see play anymore

If I remember correct, after the stun Paddy activated something that destroys his securty, activating magnamon's immunity before evolving to jesmon

Great Video as always, but man do i really hate that Manganamon X effect. Such an easy and nearly constant way to become immune to everything over mutiple turns is crazy. What's even worse is that if it gains the immunity after being hit with an already established effect, that effect will slide off! I didn't even know that before this match...It's such toxic design.

It's not the worst thing because a lot of the top decks have blocker or redirection in some kind of way. The best way to deal with magna X is to stall it once their turn rolls back around. If you have enough blockers they either need to blind and gray or go into a second copy on a different stack

Was wondering isnt it the case of on the final turn for the magnamon player he could not go into jesmon x as the option card x antibody states into cant be put under a card with x antibody in name so it cant go under magnamon x

I know these games are supposed to be relatively even but poor Rapidmon was on the back foot the whole game. Magna X is already hard to remove, being able to activate its own immunity effect pretty much ensures it will never leave the board.

Can you tell me what the ruling is for jesmon GX? Because he can just break security as soon as he is summoned? Or do you have to suspend him to attack? Then his effects went off
he used the x anti option to swing as magnamon x, evo into jesmon gx, then jesmon gx activates its when digievo effect to place a royal knight under and use that cards when evo effect. the magnamon he put under lets him unsuspend. so the jesmon gx is now swinging unsuspended. then because he unsuspended he can finish the game with 1 last swing

Does this mean you can use it 4 times because you have veemon in the breeding area that is red ?
You automatically get one trigger of the effect, *then* you get one additional trigger of the effect for each color of your Digimon, and since Magna X is three colors, you get 4 total.
Digimon in the breeding area do not count as “Digimon in play” so they cannot be the target of any effects or contribute to any effects, in this case, the number of colors on the field
And to round it out while digimon in the breeding cannot contribute to effects or activate any digivolution effects of their own, they CAN still act as color sources for option cards

Blinding Ray trashes security card and activates Magnamon X "When digivolving" effect giving Inmunity to oponent effects.
Magnamon X's "When Digivolving" effect gives it immunity to opposing effects before unsuspending, and it can be triggered when a security card is removed. This removes the effect of MegaGargomon Ace on Magna X, allowing it to unsuspend and Digivolve freely.
Davis finally got his revenge from Willis for kissing Kari.
in the final part you can´t digievolve your magnamon x in jesmon because that magnamon x were affected by the MegaGaorgamon eff.
And it was unaffected by that effect. You can totally digivolve
Magnamon X gained immunity to opposing effects from its "When Digivolving" effect, though. This rendered it immune to MegaGargomon Ace's effect.
a little missplay, magnamon x antibody from bt9 isn't count as armor form, so jesmon only gains 6k from the armors

You cannot evolve Gold Rapidmon into Gold Rapidmon X because it's a level 4 and it's not "Rapidmon". The gold Rapidmon X does not have "With Rapidmon in the name", so that play at the start is illegal.
While people call Gold Rapidmon well "Gold Rapidmon" its name as far as the game is concerned is Rapidmon. There isn't actually any gold in the name

This went about as expected, whilr RapidmonX is a top teir deck in its own right, Magnamon X is the best deck of the format, and a bad matchup for RapidX
I know it's Cost 7 but being able to use Heaven's Judgement 4 Times because of Magnamon X's triple color is just absurd.
Well blocking with megagargo was a mistake and then magna x couldn't digivolve due to megagargo blast evo so no gx and no unsuspend.
Nope. MegaGargo Ace leaving the field wasn't what allowed Magna X to ignore its effect. It was Paddy's usage of Blinding Ray which removed a security, triggering Magnamon X's "When Digivolving" effect, giving it immunity to opposing effects. Paddy had enough memory there to go into GX for game anyway, too.

Magnamon X’s immunity effect and buff should never be repeated again, it’s complete BS to have immunity in everything that can be easily achieved.
The secret rare Rapidmon X is very powerful, but it's fair. The secret rare Magnamon X is broken and needs to be restricted. Bandai should stop printing overpowered secret rares and any card unaffected by effects.
