Say what you want but Holosun is dominating the competition.
They are also made by an enemy - try not to buy Chinese products if you can, please.
The last time I checked; we have as many enemies here as there
@@justanothergunnerd8128says the guy typing from his made in China iPhone 🙄
@@RUclipsflakelandExcellent point.

Props to Holosun for actually innovating
Excited for the Iris & Holosun’s further ventures into night vision!
Holly shit, as a RMR owner I NEVER thought id say this, but Holosun is KILLING THE GAME!!!
A two piece system with the ir/nv camera mounted at the end of the rail sending the image back to the red dot with the option to overlay both images would be great.
Finally some night vision I can actually afford to get into
I doubt it's affordable.
@@BrilloHead for you, absolutely not. For people with jobs, price isn't too bad.
The shot show videos have always been some of my favorites that James did. Thank you all for keeping this going.
Glad you guys are keeping the channel going I'll be a subscriber for life
Yeah, even after the guy is no longer with us.
Good question about the offset!!!
Damn,Holosun is absolutely killing it.the thermal pistol RDS/flashlight is absolutely amazing.I didn’t think we would see something like this for another 5 or more years..I don’t care what anybody says about Holosun.I don’t care they are made in China either, the level of quality, innovation and price are unmatched in the optic world..I’ve had several Holosun RDSs over the years and have beat the hell out of them and they are still running as good as they were the day I got them..they are overlapping the competition at this point
If you can stomach the price, then sure. I couldn't stomach the high price. 😅
I bet they will do like Sig has and build a facility in the US to produce them and go after gov/mil contracts. There 407/507 made it possible for most to have a RDS on a pistol and helped force manufacturers to make rds ready guns.
@@BrilloHeadWhat high price? They are cheap af.
@@fennoman9241 Ignore him he thinks even $300 is too much for any optic when in his mind handguns are like $300-$500 and an AR starts at $700. He seems to think of an optic as just a fun toy to add on to a gun so it shouldn't be anywhere near the price of the gun. His mindset on it is completely wrong from a fighting/concealed carry perspective.
@@fennoman9241 Depends on how you define cheap. If $300 Holosun optic is cheap to you, then go for it. I see it as a waste of money.
I find the circle and dot , the best , gives you the choice of using either and both , depending on distance & time required
If that 2pc optic + rail mount thermal has the same quality thermal as the TS25 384, its going to be absolutely incredible. Love holosun, especially the acss vulcan reticle
Glad I just bought an aems right before they bring out a new version that pretty much solved every nitpick I have with mine! That being said I still love it, hell of an optic for the money.
Can't wait for this to be available, way to go guys
Wow those are surprisingly good prices for the thermal and NV
Guessing proprietary mount for the AEMS MAX? Would be awesome if it used like the HS510 mount or something already on the market.
Man I’m definitely getting that rifle light! That sounds absolutely amazing!
1 year since the Holosun Thermal introduction and it's still not available.
Sweet
nothing better on the battlefields than trying to get your bluetooth devices to sync properly...
The DRS series seem to have the thermal and nv units screwed into the reflex sights. Does this mean that they can be taken off? It would be cool to buy the base sight and keep the thermal and nv sensors handy. Also, if this is true, does the plain DRS sight have a solar fail safe?
Edit: Another thought. If the sensors are detachable, they could place them anywhere on the rifle, like with the DPS. That would be a major selling point.
Does that laser box have a standard plug like la5 or steiner?
Ive been waiting for the thermal to be available since lasy year.
Does it cowitness and mount on any pistols? Had to return my 509 ACSS because it doesn’t mount on anything, you have to stack plates.
Sig let’s copy and paste, holosun, while sig follows we lead!
Sig is garbage.
@@ABH313 I want to agree but they make some things that are damn good. The issue is most of what they make is knock offs, of knock offs. And the whole deal with the sig p320 and sig acting like that gun isn’t defective is crazy.
@@swiftaudi Do a search, every single firearm they have released in past decade has needed a recall or an immediate redesign. Everyone complains about their finishes and rust issues. There are countless pictures of various Sig models literally broken in half. Countless stories on Neglect Discharges. And yeah, now they are rebranding Chinese accessories as their own. It's just a trash company who only cares about profit margins. People think they are great because of old laurels when the company was Swiss and the price...they are sub-par guns with a high markup.
@@positiveanion4085 I own zero sigs you won’t get an argument from me.
They should find a way to release those thermals as a helmet mounted NVG set up
Will the thermal RDS work as a thermal overlay when used with a PVS14 monocular?..I would love to see Holosun make a helmet mounted thermal monocular too
Wonder if you can use the 6x magnifier with the NV or Thermal optic for a total of 11x zoom
What about the DRS with the sensors at the bottom? Have they been cancelled?
Holosun is innovating. These offerings are way beyond anything else that anyone else is doing. Very excited to see where these go. Wish they were American owned but thats pretty much the only bad thing I can say about them. I have many of their products and they're all great.
And they're pretty expensive for an optic.
@@BrilloHead For optics designed to go on real firearms, they very affordable. But yes, compared to the airsoft toys you use, they do cost a bit more.
What a wonderful company that actually gives the consumers what they want add a acceptable quality and someone reasonable price point. Meanwhile you have companies like RS regulate have had years of people begging for Galil Ace Gen 2 handgaurds and nothing…
Holosun take my money 💰...
James I met you at the night vision summit in SC it was a pleasure!!
I am Louis, James founded our school, but yes The Night Ops Summit was awesome. Glad to get to meet you and all the other great people there
I hope that weapon light is duel fuel!
Good info
I love holosun but hate those bottom mounted battery slides. Prefer the side mount like 403r
Holosun has entered the building
I'm getting this thermal
The night vision & thermal sights will be Epic for Law Enforcement applications. And home use!
Thats the next step for me I want the thermal NV for me.
Stop giving the police all the power. Is people like you who enable them. They will be UN troops soon. They just waiting.
Was hoping for a rmsc optic
The iris is the exact price if a aimpoint t2. Now will it be any good? I don’t know but even if it’s decent just think about that…
I wonder when the different sized AEMS are coming out?
What was the price for the 6x mag?
Rest in Paradise James
How much is the 6x magnifier?
I'm not going to lie, I really like that pistol thermal. Their other thermals are garbage compared to the offerings of the current big names in the market place, but the pistol thermal is pretty innovative.
Damn!
Wait, i registered to be notified on their site when they went on sale, why the F didn't I get my notification if they are shipping.
I was hoping they were gonna drop a 507 Comp that's single dot only.. maybe in a 2.5 or 6 MOA versions. Either way they have some promising stuff coming down the pipeline.. the next 10 years is gonna be very bright for Holosun if they keep this up. Our legacy brands better take them seriously.
Are these CA compliant?
What up, Louis! Have a great show! - Asian Cowboy
we need thermal review!!
How about a handheld digital night vision from Holosun? Also, a laser illuminator without visible light, something like Kiji from BE Meyers?
I just want a pid in full IR only or white light with ir illum and laser for a decent price we need it espeically if its vcsel
AEMS Max on a 1301 mod 2 🤤
When does the Holosun PID k get released
Naw the Bluetooth joint goes crazy 😂
I like that they are making things AFFORDABLE
$300 Holosun optic is not affordable in my opinion. Under $100 would be affordable.
@@BrilloHead I was speaking on the Nighvision and Thermal front. Those are very much affordable to what’s out there that is worth buying. You can get plenty of decent red dots for a ballpark of $100
@@MrSoonermadman Just out of curiosity, how much would a decent night vision or thermal really cost?
Do the have a public stock ticker symbol? I want to invest in them. This is crazy...
How much?
So they canceled the thermal Pro. And that was supposed to be out last year.
How about releasing the drs I've already paid for
How about a EPS T
The laser looks interesting. I think holosun should get into nvg market. The nv red dots seems gimmicky at best.
I was surprised to hear Louis say that he likes circles on pistols. I'd love to hear his viewpoint on that.
Look for his doughnut of death videos.
So can the thermal just operate as a normal red dot for day use ?
The 2-piece one that goes on a pistol? It sure sounds like the RDS can be used by itself during the day.
The rifle one yes, not sure on the pistol version
Digital night vision and thermal is the future
Gonna mount a holosun thermal nv pistol dot infront of my eye, gooned out like a halo ce marine
Take my money 💰
Holosun is really reminding me of Godox which was a cheap budget option for photo/video lighting in the beginning and evolved into being the only company really, truly innovating in their space. while offering 95% of the quality Profoto, the "best" brand, has for 1/3-1/4 the price. They have become the go to for anyone not paying ridiculous prices for brands like Profoto because they offered a price point between cheap junk and super expensive while being just as good as the super expensive stuff for 98% of the stuff you woudl use them for.
Holosun doesn't really offer 95% of the quality you get from quality optics manufacturers, though. Before I bought quality optics, I would have claimed my Holosun products were "just as good", but the build quality is lower, the optical clarity through the glass is significantly worse, and the raw material quality is generally inferior.
That isn't to say that Holosun is BAD, mind you. Quality optics are very expensive, and so the mid-low tier options provide civilians with enhanced capability for a much lower price. That is only ever a good thing. However, its always worth investing in at least one quality optics solution that is battle tested and grunt approved on your designated defensive weapon, lest something fail you when you need it most.
@@theKashConnoisseur Well you can have your opinion and I'll have mine. To me the things you mention are in that last 5% and frankly trainers like Jedi from MSP who see thousands of students recommend Holosun and haven't see any real durability problems from them compared to other brands.
@@josh885 unless and until you own high grade optics, I don't think your opinion has much merit to be fair. Optical clarity isn't the last 5% for an optic, it's the first 50% lol.
If I had students I would also recommend Holosun because it's affordable and the quality is good enough to start training. But if I was advising people who were carrying pistols every day for personal and public protection, I'd never recommend Holosun because it's not duty grade. It's like cheap target ammo. Good enough to practice with, but probably not the best idea for betting your life on. You want duty grade optics and duty grade ammo when your life is on the line.
HoloSun, I kneel.
I’m just waiting for holosun to bring a 1000 dollar PVS-14 to market. Do it Holosun. DO ITTTTT!
Wow. So expensive.
@@BrilloHead if you think a $1000 PVS-14 is expensive, you should see what the real ones cost. There's levels to this game, and night vision isn't for broke boys.
@@theKashConnoisseur I don't need it so I don't really care. Too much fancy gear isn't going to help you much. I rather go with just the basics which are iron sights and a flashlight. And that doesn't require $300.
@@BrilloHead You keep complaining on every post to this video about prices, so you obviously care. Iron sights and a flashlight are great if you only plan on defending a hallway from a lesser geared adversary. But it's 2024, gangbangers have thermal scopes and fully automatic Glock switches they ordered from China. And looking at the Ukrainian conflict as a model for future warfare, you can bet our near-peer adversaries are gonna have military grade optics and NV. If you thought the 2nd Amendment was only about hunting and self defense, you must not have been paying attention lol.
@@theKashConnoisseur I'm just a more pragmatic person. Things that don't serve me much go to the trash bin. Things that are necessary, I keep running them. Again just because your opponent have a bunch of gear does not necessarily make them a better fighter. The person's skillset is far more precious than any fancy gear you slap onto a rifle.
Would be ideal if the Raid flashlight was dual fuel
LLJAMESYEAGER❤❤
Still no SCS for the 43x. C’mon man
The only thing I really see as a viable and selling point option are the raid and iris. Everything else is just kind of gimmicky in my opinion. The aems max seems pointless considering the regular aems is already plenty big enough of an optic/optic window. The thermal sight, ehh maybe for people that coyote hunt, but the night vision optic and everything else doesn’t seem like it’ll have a big consumer base. Just save up and buy some nods, or if you’re a poor like me just don’t even concern yourself with night vision at all lol.
First time I've ever heard someone agree with me when I say circle only is the best of all worlds on a handgun.
I can see that being fast but not that accurate.
I don't think my neighbors would appreciate the lack of shot accountability inherent in a big ol' circle reticle.
@@theKashConnoisseur a friendly suggestion from one to another, look into how the eye processes reticles. The human eye can pinpoint the exact center of a circle without the need for measuring. I'll leave it at that.
@@l337l0gan sure it can, but that processing takes more time than having a bright pinpoint aim already there. And when it comes to defensive pistol use, those split seconds are extremely critical. Not to mention that people in high stress already suffer from a breakdown in dexterity. Having an ambiguous circle that you have to process the center of (with varying accuracy of course) is simply not as efficient as a small, bright center dot.
Now, I'll give you one thing: a big circle is easier to find in the window of an optic than a small dot. So if you refuse to train with your red dot and you want to have the best chance of finding your reticle in a stressful encounter, then yes, a big circle will do that. But you're still accountable for every round you fire, and so those accuracy concerns under stress remain valid. However, if you just train with a traditional red dot before you have to use it in real life, you'll be able to do it no problem. We don't rise to our expectations in battle, we fall to our level of training.
@@l337l0gan it takes longer to process the center point that isn't there compared to finding the center dot that is there. And there's inherent ambiguity in the accuracy of that mentally projected dot that doesn't exist with a physically projected one. Obviously, under stress and duress this would be amplified further. It's obvious that there's less shot accountability with a 30-something MOA circle vs a 2 MOA dot, and I'll leave it at that.
Did Holosun remove the IR emitter from the DRS-NV? Unless they're using some ground breaking SPAD sensor in there, it's going to need supplemental IR to function on any night without a full moon.
Edit: that slide lever on the IRIS is a good idea in theory, but recoil impulses will inevitably move it over time. Even a slight bumps/vibrations can have a big effect when repeated over and over again. Hopefully the final production model changes the mechanism or provides a way to lock the focus adjustment.
Cool, but these need to become more compact. These things are getting ridiculously big.
Holosun is about to kick some A$$.
Yo dawg, I heard you like night vision.
somo > iris
Do they have a big AEMS without the lame ronin shit?
If it’s not production ready I don’t care
I can’t see a single professional use case for thermal (low res) on a pistol.. If you can..you probably don’t train cqb or make a living fighting at night. The tech even at our level is just not there yet. Having said that.. the innovations from Holosun are nice to see.. almost like a trailer park tier Wilcox. Keep pushing the envelope our industry and war fighters need every advantage… the evil in the sandbox seems to get smarter everyday. It’s getting where an ir laser may as well be a white light.. dicey af these days. ITAR? Pffff
It's worth remembering that the vast majority of gun owners are not "professional users" who train CQB or make their living shooting. Guns are for every American, not just warfighters. There's applications to thermal sights outside of battle, such as varmint and game hunting. And for people with large properties that lack traditional night vision, thermal remains a viable option for spotting 2 and 4 legged predators that might be lurking around in the dark. And there's also enthusiasts that just want cool stuff for the sake of it being cool.
Idk much about this channel, but is the guy from the media outlet/youtube channel slow or something?
Leonardo De Caprio?? Thought he’s anti gun 😅
Is is me or does the Holosun guy sound sloshed?!😂
Love the Holosun brand and what they are doing.
im happy that we are allowing china to test and evaluate their stuff to use in their military tech. Holosun is a Chinese company.
and they are using our smartphones to weaken us more than they could ever by using rifle optics
This is why Eotech is dying. Expensive and no true innovation like this
No innovation here and Eotech ain’t going anywhere.
@Three60Crusader they will be if they don't step it up lol
When you buy something like an EOTech, you're paying for a reliable design executed in a bomb-proof manner. There's a lot of intrinsic value in an optic that has been battle tested and proven. Civilian consumers can afford to experiment with innovative, but sometimes unreliable gear. First responders and military members can't. And the government is MORE than happy to pay the high asking price.
However, speaking of innovation, Holosun introduced this same concept last year, and they still haven't hit shelves. Innovation that never comes up for sale isn't that useful, if you ask me.
@theKashConnoisseur I don't think you understand the word innovation lol
@@TheRomanTribune if you think putting a low res thermal camera on a small screen is innovative, you must not get outside much.
They stole this from Halo ODST
