I've pretty much seen every IWC Mark XVIII video out there on youtube, this is by far the best video for anyone interested in buying one, well done mate! Thank you
i know Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
@Vivaan Avery Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
I have a Perrelet Chrono which has pretty much exactly the same thing. Frankly, I didn't use this feature very much

Picked up a Mark XVIII on the black leather strap first day of 2021. It's just one of those watches that goes with almost anything. Incredibly legible and truly timeless. I really enjoy it's simplicity and wearability.
This is literally the best watch review I ever watched. Quality, knowledge, application and actual useable information and shots (on wrist). Thanks and 100% purchasing this!
After watching this video multiple times, I had to get one for myself to check out. I definitely didn't expect to like it as much as I do. The Mark XVIII on bracelet is amazing, a very underrated watch!!
Love it!! I retire in 10 months and I have two, maybe three contenders as a present to myself!! This is one of them, and yes ... its a beautiful bracelet and I totally see why you chose this over the Spitfire. Great Vid as always ....
This is a great review. It inspired me to look into the brand more and has just resulted in myself picking up a 2015 Mark XVII on the awesome bracelet at 50% off original RRP. I’m very pleased with the purchase and it’s just right ... for me 👌👍
IWC is often overlooked and people usually say they are overpriced. However, my experience with the brand has been nothing short of spectacular. I owned a Portuguese 7 Day previously and recently bought the Performance Pilot Chronograph in ceratanium. IWC’s attention to detail is second to none, everything is executed so well on their watches. They are a brand that puts engineering first imo - from their Easy X Change to the materials they use in their movements and cases. FWIW, I sold my BLNR and bought the IWC and have zero regrets 🤷♂️
This is a terrific video and review. Your passion for the Mark XVIII really shines through! And I agree. It is a fantastic watch - for you. And for me. Although I ended up with the Heritage, in titanium with the faux patina. I looked at all of them. And also tried the 39mm Spitfire. Like you, I didn't care for the white date window. And I found the lugs a bit narrow, making the watch wear smaller than I would like. The Mark XVIII was the very last one I tried. I simply didn't think I would like the color/faux patina of the hands, markers and text. I was wrong! Soon as it was on my wrist, I knew it's the one for me! My wrist size is also 7 1/8 in. And the watch is a brilliant fit. If that amazing bracelet came also in titanium, I would buy it as well. And I would never hesitate to buy an IWC with either their modified ETA or Sellita movement! Craftsmanship is top notch! Thank you again for the wonderful video!
I turned 40 yesterday and was in New York - saw one of these used in a little jeweler, bought it on a whim - thank you for doing the homework that I did not do 🫶
Fantastic video, I’m in 100 percent agreement with your opinion. An old dude I’ve owned many exclusive watches, and fortunate to have a nice collection to this day. The IWC Mark XVIII is my favorite, the exact configuration as yours and doubtless the most comfortable, legible, and wearable for any situation. It competes with some heady and far more expensive competition from within my collection. It’s on my wrist as this is written which speaks volumes. So wonderful to see a bit of IWC, specifically aimed at the Mark XVIII, love for a change. Lots of IWC hate on the net and I’ve grown weary of trying to champion and or defend it; with this video I can and will stand down. If asked which watch I’d keep if I could keep but 1 (horrendously daunting ask for a serious collector) the choice would come down to my Mark XVIII like yours or my Mark XVIII Laureus black ceramic with the blue dial. That choice, “for me”’, would be extremely perplexing, IWC’s superlative bracelet probably solidifying the decision. The Mark XVIII’s are truly that good “for me” and you. Thanks for sharing!!! Ciao.
I was thinking between IWC Pilot 36 vs Grand Seiko SBGR253 and stumbled upon this video of yours and I love how good-quality your video is. Your channel and Watchfinder are my new top 2 watch channels on RUclips now :)
Your video is great and your argument for this watch is compelling. So much so that I am likely to get one I’ve tried it on and every point you make is accurate. For me
Great piece, minimalistic elegance, simple , classy ( for me). Love that bracelet, yes they should market/ promote that more I was not aware of that until I watched your video. 100 meters water resistance would have been better, but I guess if you can swim and snorkel with it , it should be fine. I added this to my wish list. Let’s see which one I end up buying first from that list....Congratulations , I think it truly is one of the best pieces in your collection !
Just discovered your channel today. I really like your relaxed, straight to the point style. I subscribe to dozens of watch channels and this is looking like one of the best. thanks and look forward to new material...even though i cant afford an IWC!
I got the MARK17 LPP on bracelet. The Mark bracelets are 2nd to none. They are the absolute best. And the craftsmanship on these watches are impeccable.
Great video. I own a Mark XVIII on a strap; extremely legible watch in really ALL lighting conditions. and not too flashy, understated, but beautiful in its simplicity. Even though my wrist is relatively small (16,5cm) it sits like a glove. Wish I had known all these stuff concerning the bracelet -which according to some the best on the market-. It is a shame that even IWC boutique employees cannot sell this magnificent bracelet.
I tried this and the pilots chrono on yesterday. This on the blk leather is so awesomely masculine and understated. I'd buy on bracelet because of those great features u highlighted and order that fantastic blk strap as well. Such a killer peice.
Wow. The bracelet features are Easter eggs! I am absolutely sold. I recently moved to a place where wearing anything else from my collection is prohibited (theft) and I was looking for something that would fly under the radar that would still mesmerize me. This is the one! The hunt begins.
This is easily the classiest piece in your entire collection. If I were you, I’d sell off the rest, invest the profits, and retire a year or two earlier than planned.
The perfect watch for you. And me! A really really good video, I’m new to IWC but if my ad give me a good deal I’m in the club soon. Thanks again for superb video, I really agree with the “to me” part after owning a lot of the great ones out there. Keep time, be safe best regards Martin from Sweden
That is a really cool piece, thank you for the presentation. I'm torn between the Tudor Black Bay 36mm black, Omega Railmaster 57 Trilogy and now this bad boy. I just found out that it's also available in a 36mm case size. This will really make a decision for me even more difficult. Thanks again a keep up the great work and those superb videos coming.
Thanks for highlighting the bracelet! I had no idea it had those features, and is really making me think about the bracelet option rather than the strap
by far the best review presentation of the mark xviii so glad to see someone finally talking about the amazing bracelet, what is your wrist size/ length? I'd go to an AD but i''m sadly stuck comparing wrist sizes for refrence...
Shut up and take my subscription. Jokes aside, I love the way you address so many commonly held perceptions about watches in such an artful way, I’m glad I found your channel and look forward to digging deeper into past videos and future ones too!
It is a beautiful watch indeed. I have a Omega Aquaterra Seamaster 39mm with blue face and a Bell & Ross BR01-93 GMT. The fist one is small and simply elegant, the second one is big and bulky. Both fits my moods perfectly. After watching this video, I think I’ll go for a IWC Le Petit Prince Pilot but with a black leather strap… For me!!! The photography is this video is really original and impressive. Thanks for sharing!
That bracelet with the micro-adjustment feature sold me too in the end (MK XVIII)- but I don't think that it was designed by IWC because luxury brands like A.Lange & Söhne and Glashütte Original (you'll find more when you look close enough...) use the exact same mechanism. It must come from a third party supplier...
Thoughtful and well put together video. Bought exactly the same watch the other day and completely thrilled with it. Elegant minimalism. My collection, like yours, consists mainly of watches with rotating bezels. Felt for some time that a change of direction was needed but never saw anything that hit the spot. The micro adjustment on the bracelet was not mentioned by the sales person. I only noticed it on closer inspection. Odd that IWC should spend the time and trouble to design this fantastic feature and keep it a secret.
Great question. I tried one on last week.. can't wait for them to release it on the bracelet. It's striking, thin and feels high Quality. Love it. Really don't need rolex now that I've discovered what IWC does
Kudos for using Carbon Based Lifeforms soundtrack! I agree about this watch. It seems to be one of these perfect "one watch" collections piece. Simple, understated, elegant. It doesn't scream "look at me" with the brushed finishing, but the quality of the finishing is clearly visible on close up. Also agree that ETA is not a minus. It keeps the cost of servicing down.
Welcome to the world of IWC, and IWC "bracelets". My Mark XVI on bracelet is my longest owned piece, going into 9 years now. In fact I loved it so much, I also bought the Mark XVI Spitfire, also on bracelet. Also have the Ingenieur 3239, on bracelet!! :-))
The micro-adjust is pretty much the same as the Lange Odysseus bracelet. Both companies are in Richemont - coincidence? Haha! Congrats and great video.
That watch looks so good on your wrist, which is just the right size to show it off. My own wrist is a bit thinner, and the watch does look different on it.
Nice review. I picked up the blue. I am ordering the bracelet, I think it needs that extra presence for my wrist, I find it a little too simple on a strap.
Interesting micro adjust clasp. I was looking at that and thought, "Hey, that trick hidden button is just like on the Glashutte Original SeaQ clasp." Well... it turns out that they're the same clasp, I mean EXACTLY the same. I wonder who they are sourcing them from...
Great video. I noticed the Grand Seiko high accuracy quartz featured in your last video wasn't in your collection today. Was wondering if there's a reason for that? All the best
Fantastic video! As a guy with 6.5 inch wrists, the Pilot 36 would be the better watch...for me! IWC really nail the sleek refined understated look which is why they really appeal to me
New Mark XX just came out !!!!...... I never considered IWC, but your video makes it look absolutely stunning. Makes me wonder why I'm trying so hard to get a DateJust! The new model is meant to be available with a similar bracelet soon and has 120hr power reserve , 100m water proof..... if only they were 38mm cases, but maybe I need to try one on to see if I can make it work (wrist also 7 inches, so if you feel it's a great wear, then there is hope) Edit. Bought the mark xvi. Totally love it
Can you buy a spitfire and buy the bracelet from Mark18? I fell head over heels for this watch when I tried it on. I am wondering if IWC will bring one out soon with an in house movement soon. Totally gorgeous watch man, amazing fit too! So tempted to buy one.
This is a brilliant video! I watched it numerous times. I'm currently thinking about my next watch purchase and an IWC Mark model is the top of my list. If I could create my dream Mark, it would be the case size of the Mark 16, the dial of the Mark 17... I guess the Mark 18 is a nice middle ground here, but I also love the 3D bracelet links of the Mark 16. We shall see ;-)
you love that fine watch its the only thing that matters and once in a while someone appreciating the love and quality of that watch makes u even more happy .. yes btw i m leaning towards the same watch but with spitfire logo 2019
Agree ref the bracelet. Way better than the Rolex Oyster and I've owned both. In my view ... this is the best 'under the radar' luxury daily on the market.
Most underrated watch channel on youtube
Very true.
For me...
(In 2023) Not anymore! Thankfully.
I've pretty much seen every IWC Mark XVIII video out there on youtube, this is by far the best video for anyone interested in buying one, well done mate! Thank you
+1
Agreed fantastic
i know Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid forgot my login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
@Gavin Joel instablaster ;)
@Vivaan Avery Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out now.
I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Man, every watch should have that micro adjust. That's brilliant.
If grand Seiko did it on more of there lines I think they would sell a lot more.
I had the chrono version of this watch, and it's true, that feature and the "hidden" button are truly incredible.
too bad the bracelet costs an extra grand like the glashutte original seaQ bracelet and the JLC Polaris bracelet
This is a incredible watch. It looks so simple and solid. The strap looks so nice.
My favorite watch channel
This is literally the best watch review I ever watched. Quality, knowledge, application and actual useable information and shots (on wrist). Thanks and 100% purchasing this!
What a great watch!!! The bracelet looks amazing!
I love that watch as well.
After watching this video multiple times, I had to get one for myself to check out. I definitely didn't expect to like it as much as I do. The Mark XVIII on bracelet is amazing, a very underrated watch!!
Been on my list for a long bit now. Now that it is discontinued I discovered this video. The micro adjustment… I’m now fully sold. Thank you.
Perfect addition to your collection Evan and fantastic video as always. Loved seeing all the details of this piece.
Great video! I love the Mark XVIII! Thanks for telling us about the bracelet. Great design. Amazing how no one seems to have covered that before.
Love it!! I retire in 10 months and I have two, maybe three contenders as a present to myself!! This is one of them, and yes ... its a beautiful bracelet and I totally see why you chose this over the Spitfire. Great Vid as always ....
That's funny! I'm buying this watch in about 10 months and as a present to myself for having the balls to buy this piece I am retiring!
I love my Mark XVIIII Heritage. I don’t care if it has a modified Sallita movement. It’s a simple and honest timepiece!
This is a great review. It inspired me to look into the brand more and has just resulted in myself picking up a 2015 Mark XVII on the awesome bracelet at 50% off original RRP. I’m very pleased with the purchase and it’s just right ... for me 👌👍

I always circle back to this video. One of my favorites.

Great review, thanks for posting. The AR on the dome crystal appears a blue hue on sunny days. That’s perfection, for me.
Thanks for opening my eyes to this brand. And very well produced video, too.

Amazing video! I’ve always wanted an IWC, but the details about the bracelet have me lusting for this watch now more than ever!
I love the simplicity of this watch. I’m in two minds as to whether it even needed a date. This is a great review
Hey, keep doing what you do! I love your narrating style and your subtle humour. Your videos are very pleasing to watch.
Just discovered your channel today. I really like your relaxed, straight to the point style. I subscribe to dozens of watch channels and this is looking like one of the best. thanks and look forward to new material...even though i cant afford an IWC!

Brilliant... no one has ever mentioned how great that bracelet is. Currently considering the Le Petit Prince version...for me 😉
Amaizng video, for me! I love the dedication and production.
Awesome presentation of an awesome watch! It really fits you well and I'm really looking forward to buying one soon!
I appreciated your way of presenting your reasons and deciding for The IWC Mark XVII time piece.
Excellent presentation
Wow. The bracelet features are Easter eggs! I am absolutely sold. I recently moved to a place where wearing anything else from my collection is prohibited (theft) and I was looking for something that would fly under the radar that would still mesmerize me. This is the one! The hunt begins.
Great video production, very informative too. I got the Mark XVIII on a strap last month and am loving it!
I have rarely seen a watch fitting to someone's wrist better than your IWC does to yours. Great choice! (for you)
Are you Bane?
This is easily the classiest piece in your entire collection. If I were you, I’d sell off the rest, invest the profits, and retire a year or two earlier than planned.
The perfect watch for you. And me!

Love that bracelet.
Spectacular mention on that 1mm-incremental adjustability of the bracelet, with its function hiding in plain (and elegant) sight!
Best watch channel.. for me.
Everytime I get my sights locked on a watch, your channel has it covered. Get out of my head.
Thanks for highlighting the bracelet! I had no idea it had those features, and is really making me think about the bracelet option rather than the strap
The blue dial, make it looks beautiful from a pure design.
Beautiful watch
Just discovered this channel. This is a really good looking watch and the bracelet appears to be top notch.
I tried one on last year. Am amazing piece.
by far the best review presentation of the mark xviii so glad to see someone finally talking about the amazing bracelet, what is your wrist size/ length? I'd go to an AD but i''m sadly stuck comparing wrist sizes for refrence...
One of your best videos. That and the Cartier Santos.
Shut up and take my subscription. Jokes aside, I love the way you address so many commonly held perceptions about watches in such an artful way, I’m glad I found your channel and look forward to digging deeper into past videos and future ones too!
best video about mark and all watches
It is a beautiful watch indeed. I have a Omega Aquaterra Seamaster 39mm with blue face and a Bell & Ross BR01-93 GMT. The fist one is small and simply elegant, the second one is big and bulky. You're on point about the IWC bracelet. My Ingenieur has the same features and the finishing is superb. It's my favorite part of the watch.
That bracelet with the micro-adjustment feature sold me too in the end (MK XVIII)- but I don't think that it was designed by IWC because luxury brands like A.Lange & Söhne and Glashütte Original (you'll find more when you look close enough...) use the exact same mechanism. Iwc and Carbon based lifeform as a background. Priceless ❤️
It is a gorgeous time piece and a great every das watch for a gentleman! Congrats ,mate!
Thoughtful and well put together video.

Welp, you just "sold" *me* on this watch. Never would have paid this much mind if not for this video.
A really nice watch that you can get for a very decent price. I like the clean, sober look of the dial.
Love your videos, what is your opinion on the new mark XX?
Great question. I tried one on last week.. can't wait for them to release it on the bracelet. It's striking, thin and feels high Quality. Love it. Really don't need rolex now that I've discovered what IWC does

This is an hell of a video an hell of a watch and an hell of opinion/analysis! Congrats!
The micro-adjust is pretty much the same as the Lange Odysseus bracelet. Both companies are in Richemont - coincidence? Haha! Congrats and great video.
I had no idea. Gotta try one.
I’d really like to see a comparison between this IWC and the Stowa Flieger.
was after a laco augsberg, now saving for this.
I like the way that it's very understated but still a very strong timepiece.......for me.
Nice video and beautiful watch. Well done!
That watch looks so good on your wrist, which is just the right size to show it off. My own wrist is a bit thinner, and the watch does look different on it.
Its a great watch, i love the IWC Mark XVIII Modells. Great Video!
Nice review. I picked up the blue. I am ordering the bracelet, I think it needs that extra presence for my wrist, I find it a little too simple on a strap.
Love this thing…. For me
Good review! For me, this model with bracelet is the best version!
Interesting micro adjust clasp. I was looking at that and thought, "Hey, that trick hidden button is just like on the Glashutte Original SeaQ clasp." Well... it turns out that they're the same clasp, I mean EXACTLY the same. I wonder who they are sourcing them from...
Love the Mark XVIII, do you think there will be a Mark XIX next year?
Great video. I noticed the Grand Seiko high accuracy quartz featured in your last video wasn't in your collection today. Was wondering if there's a reason for that? All the best
Thank you for this fair and balanced review.
Fantastic video! As a guy with 6.5 inch wrists, the Pilot 36 would be the better watch...for me! IWC really nail the sleek refined understated look which is why they really appeal to me
Great script and editing!
Wow great review… amazing👍👍
That's a great micro adjust. Awesome video.
Nice review.. I always liked it. Now I like it more, enough to own it. Had no clue about that great bracelet adjustment. Thank You...
New Mark XX just came out !!!!...... I never considered IWC, but your video makes it look absolutely stunning. Makes me wonder why I'm trying so hard to get a DateJust! The new model is meant to be available with a similar bracelet soon and has 120hr power reserve , 100m water proof..... if only they were 38mm cases, but maybe I need to try one on to see if I can make it work (wrist also 7 inches, so if you feel it's a great wear, then there is hope)
Edit. Bought the mark xvi. Totally love it
I also love this watch more than the spitfire. My debate is this exact watch or the le petite sunburst blue
Can you buy a spitfire and buy the bracelet from Mark18? I fell head over heels for this watch when I tried it on.
I am wondering if IWC will bring one out soon with an in house movement soon.
Totally gorgeous watch man, amazing fit too!
So tempted to buy one.
That Bracelet is amazing!
I'm new to your channel, and I find your style endearing. I'm just about to swap my Tudor GMT for a Mark XVIII on a bracelet... it'll be my first IWC.
I have that in the 36mm version..absolutely lovin it
This is a brilliant video! We shall see ;-)
It's a great watch for me too !!!!! greetings from Portugal , how about the accuracy ? I think the movement is the equivalent of chronometer .
I tought that is a Spitfire. Junkers !!! Cool! My great uncle worked at Junkers. I probably buy one
Great video! Thanks. I'm awaiting delivery of my Mark XVIII Le Petit Prince in two days; can't wait.
you love that fine watch its the only thing that matters and once in a while someone appreciating the love and quality of that watch makes u even more happy .. yes btw i m leaning towards the same watch but with spitfire logo 2019
Agree ref the bracelet. Way better than the Rolex Oyster and I've owned both. In my view ... this is the best 'under the radar' luxury daily on the market.
Agree, I've owned a Rolex oyster and much rather have this iwc, I think it's one of the best all round watches you can buy today.
