I want to warn everyone who is thinking about doing this job by themself. It is NOT as easy as this video makes it seem to be. The whole bearing part is rusted/fused together with the backing plate and it’s a true pain to separate them. I tried the method of putting nuts & washers on the on the inside of the outer part of the bearing assembly and pressing against the back plate. But that only split the bearing in half. What ended up working was to remove the two parts together and place them on some planks on a concrete floor, then use a blow torch to heat it all up, then slamming the bearing assembly with a sledge hammer five or six times. This job took two days with trial and error. I recommend to just buy a new backing plate together with the wheel bearing assembly and replace them both. The backing plate will likely end up warped anyway using the method mentioned.
